I know, but when this many of your customers want something you should find a way to make it happen. At least let us make custom classes to make our own version of it.
They are working on it. Believe it or not that required:
A complete rewrite of the coding behind the character sheet. (That took 10 months and another two to bang out the kinks. It wrapped up quite a while ago.)
A precision separation of the content form the creation software, and relocation of that content onto a separate server. (Before, everything was so intertwined that if they had tried to upgrade the creation software it could have caused major problems. That wrapped up a little while ago.)
And then they could finally start the whackton of work that will basically be only slightly less work than redesigning the creation software from the ground up. (That is underway and ongoing.)
And finally, when they flip the switches on the new system, it will likely take at least a couple of weeks to bank out the kinks. (This is pending.)
So they are doing this, it’s just likely to take at least two years, possibly longer. (Luckily they started this whole process around a year-and-a-halfish ago.)
See, they knew you were gonna want this, and they started working on it way back when the Ravnica book came out.
As someone with unlimited character slots I would love a "folder" system so I could group characters as needed, for example all wizards or all characters meant for a specific campaign (NPC)
They are already workin’ on that, but they are dealing with a massive systemwide overhaul of a significant portion of the site, so don’t hold your breath.
A source filter for the character builder per character.
They are already working on that too. They are specifically trying to do that as it will relate to another common request for AL Compliance as the AL has the PHB+1 rule. Since it’s all going to require a lot of the same programming they are likely related.
Not 100% sure if this is the correct thread or rather the best thread to post this in, but oh well.
I'd like to see integration into the equipment portion of the Character Sheet the effects of placing items in a Bag of Holding or a Handy Haversack.
Give the item objects another key attribute and have the default be the player's bag. Allow players to customize items to have the location change to whatever portable arcana safe they carry around. Have algorithm for total weight to use a a conditional based on item object location key attribute. If location is default, add weight to players total weight. If other location, add weight to different location's object weight total. If the added weight exceed that allowed by the item, disallow the change of location customization.
Or rather something like that. All in all, the request is: "Please design a way to account for items placed in items such as a bag of holding or handy haversack. Thank you "
They are already working on that, click here and look for “Inventory Enhancements.”
The tooltips are pretty straightforward, they just don’t have everything coded for tooltips as that would be a wackton of coding. You can learn all about tooltips here:
The decision to archive UA is not up to DDB, they are under contract with the company that actually publishes D&D, WotC. If WotC says to archive something, it gets archived. One thing to note, the Revised Ranger was never on DDB, it got killed by WotC before DDB ever got to code it.
I would really like the ability to level beyond level 20 via multiclassing. Perhaps as a turn it on type affair, much like the different contents.
This would reveloutionise my games
That decision is not up to DDB. That is up to the game’s publisher, WotC. They have never published rules for epic levels for 5e. DDB can only implement content, they cannot create it.
As usual, happy to help. In future, you can track such things firsthand by checking out the “News and Announcements” forum, as well as the upcoming features on trello.
I want the ability to use/disable specific portions of sources. So for example, I want to use the subclasses and spells from the upcoming Tasha's Cauldron, but I have no interest in allowing the alternate race building rules. As of right now, all sources appear to be an all or nothing deal.
That is also a planned update to use part of sources. The optional rules for races i suspect is planned to be switchable even before they get the other parts of sources stuff done. They already have some switches from the optional rules in phb so it would be strange if they didn't have that switch.
Some quick thoughts that would help round this out as a tool for DMs as well.
For Spells -
Add Special to the Range options
Add Year, Decade, etc to the Duration options.
Alternatively make both of those fields regular text fields.
For content in general -
I would love the ability to filter classes, subclasses, spells, items, monsters, etc based on the Campaign. So the special spells or subclass I've made for my Athas campaign do not show up for my Forgotten Realms campaign. In fact more campaign controls such as House Rules, etc would be lovely in general.

There is currently no way that I am aware of for a Dungeon Master to disable content on any other level than entire books. Players can switch some things on or off in the character creator for individual characters, but there should be a way to set these things on the campaign level. So when a player goes to create a character for that campaign all the appropriate boxes are already checked.
This applies to homebrew as well. I run 3 different campaigns and have homebrew content specific to each of them, but there doesn't appear to be a way to activate individual pieces of homebrew content for each campaign. It is all or nothing.
Happy to be proven wrong if someone can point me to where those options are.

That would be cool, I already want to limit some AI spells and DMG subclasses, I turned both sources off but they can still use them. It's so annoying to list everything somebody can/can't use.
In the future - Digital gameboard support (table with a screen embedded in the table surface) with importing/making of grid maps + encounter builder - so we can semi-automate the tedious parts of DMing.
I'd really like to see a check box by the HP section of your character sheet for concentration. When you're concentrating on something and you go to take damage, it being there reminds you that you're concentrating and need to roll a concentration check.

VTT for sure that uses the existing campaign character sheets
The combat encounter tracker to actually use the hit points and ac and all the stats of the character sheets
A DM view of the dice roller.
Any chance granting access to content sharing to non-dm subs?
Even if for 1 campaign 1x time additional cost?

Altrazin Aghanes - Wizard/Fighter
Varpulis Windhowl - Fighter
Skolson Demjon - Cleric/Fighter
