So I want to add annotations referring to monsters my homebrew can shapechange to. Problem is one of them is a Sibriex, and when I annotate it the website refers to the monster from MToF, which is legacy content https://speedtest.vet/https://vidmate.bid/...
Is there a way to make the website refer to the new monster?
Would it be possible to change the system so tooltips go to MotM by default instead of MToF/VGtM? I imagine most people using tooltips now would prefer MotM given that the other two ae legacy and inaccessible to anyone who hadn't bought them before the deadline.

If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.
Have old tooltips converted so they link to the old books, and any new ones to MotM or something, there'll be a fix. They're going to have to make the plunge sooner or later, it's an unwieldy fix to use and more and more people are going to want MotM, and fewer and fewer will want MToF/ VGtM. Even now, I've only seen people trying to reference MotM - which isn't to say no one wants the old books, but it's still a point that the jump needs to be taken sooner or later - and probably the sooner, the better.

The problem is it isn’t just the tooltips in content that would need to be updated, it’s all the ones in all the homebrews, forum posts, articles, and PMs too. Who’s gonna comb through all of my homebrews, and all 24,418+ of my forum posts, plus lord knows how many PMs and Article posts too and look for all my tooltips to update them? And I’m just one user. There are millions of us. Are you gonna do it? Because DDB sure as 💩 isn’t.
It's either that, which I'm sure could be automated, let them break/redirect to MotM instead, or just keep things as they are...which I'm sure will go down well in a short while when everyone is having to learn extra coding for tooltips to allow for an increasingly obsolete collection of two books.

You are describing a single SQL query that would take longer to write than to execute.

It would be doable with automated tools -- either 'rewrite all messages before time X' or 'rewrite all messages before the script gets run' -- but depending on how the database is set up that might be a significant scripting job and require some downtime.

Are you referring to tooltips?

I suspect you have the problem that you don't want to change tooltips on old content (stuff created before MotM).

You’re assuming that DEB’s system can execute it. If it could, I’m sure they likely would have done it already.

You sound like you've had no experience with corporate inertia.
Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.
I have in fact. You sound like you have no experience with the shoestring and bubblegum that holds this website together, and we both know better.
