I will take on the giant scorpion (action economy reasons)!
Im not gonna buy anything cause I’m saving up for a +1 weapon. initiative: 21
But you just got the 1000 for the +1 weapon if you would like one, right? 500 for the last quest and 500 more for starting this one. Including the 500 at level 1this is a 1500 total with which a new character would start at level 2. Well, that's how I understand it at least and how much gold I spent. If I'm wrong, I will need to return this new shiny mithral splint armor...
Right. No need for selling between tiers. Just start with 1500 gp and repurchase everything from start.
I picked 1500 so you could buy one magic +1 and the rest for gear. 2k would allow two magic +1 items and I think that's too much for 2nd level.

If you want to talk action economy, the giant scorpion is the worst option, what with it having more attacks than everybody else. Not to mention one of those attacks dealing enough damage to one-shot your character.
Oh yeah you’re right. I was just thinking “one creature means less attacks than three! Woohoo!” And didn’t even look at the stat block. I will take it on anyway!

Ok, I’ll take a +1 shortsword, I should still have my potion of healing from last time so I’ll buy an elixir of health, a potion of heroism and 4 more potions of healing.

The Wardens of the Eastern Outpost want you to gear up and track down the "Black" Wizard. They will use the tools you've found to determine what his objective might be.
You are to return to the Old Keep, on the edge of the Wildlands, and then venture deeper still into the wilderness, to try to find the missing Wizard.
Three days journey into the Wildlands, you've avoided many snares and pitfalls. You come across an ancient fortress, overgrown with kudzu, with construction of mortarless interlocking blocks.
Climbing the vines, brings you to the top of a large inner ward about 80 feet wide and 100 feet long. You are standing on the high wall and there are stairs and ladders leading down to the inner ward 20 feet below.
A beast appears in the inner ward and attacks. [combat]
(DM note: Players, I hope you are having as much fun, playing, this mini campaign as I am, DMing it. I want you all to know that these combats are extremely deadly, unfair, and off the charts for experience rewards. I'm hoping that giving you tons of gold and magic item access, and sharing Beyond Content, can help offset the imbalance that is "Solos". I'm always looking for feedback and suggestions. I imagine that several characters will die, and I want to remind you that you can just turn around and "respawn" as a new character or the same character "reborn" and keep participating in the current round.)
Your starting position is on any of the light gray squares.
The dark graysquares represent the "Wall Walkway".
Outside of the larger rectangle are vines that can be climbed with a DC 10 Athletics Check and represent an 40 foot drop.
The inside white squares represent the "Inner Ward" and are also a 40 foot drop.
There are three sturdy ramps that can be traversed the long way from the top of the wall to the bottom of the ward without having to roll a check, Red Ramp, Blue Ramp, Yellow Ramp.
The Brown Ramp is damaged and can be traversed with a DC 12 Acrobatics Check.
Finally, the Green Ladder and the Magenta Ladder can be traversed vertically with a DC 5 Athletics Check or a "Flourish" to slide down the ladder, spending only 5 feet of movement and succeeding at a DC 10 Athletics or Acrobatics Check
Climbing the vines, brings you to the top of a large inner ward about 80 feet wide and 100 feet long. You are standing on the high wall and there are stairs and ladders leading down to the inner ward 20 feet below. Rime, with her shield and a dagger equipped, sneaks up the high wall and tries to stay low when peeking what is inside ( Stealth: 11).
A tiger appears in the inner ward. ( Initiative:22 ) If unseen, she will approach to within 20 feet before acting.
Tiger rolls Perception with Keen Smell, DC 11 vs 23
Barri returns to the wardens and relays the information and returns the clues he has found. When they offer him the chance to make more coin tracking the wizard, he accepts. He spends the night resting. In the morning, he stops by the magic shop, trading in his old axe for a warhammer and purchasing a Vicious Battleaxe and adamantine scale mail. He then journeys off, back to the keep and further into the wilds, until he comes upon an old fortress. Determined to find the wizard, he heads inside. (Giant Scorpion, Initiative 11)
Barri Initiative 11 Giant Scorpion initiative roll 16
The Giant Scorpion, acting as a sentinel, double moves up the Yellow Ramp, doubles back around the wall to end its turn in the light gray region (W, 11) as close to Barri's starting position as possible. Due to double move it will not have any more actions this turn.
Once he arrives at the Old Keep, he drinks the potion of heroism and prepares to fight the polar bear (Encounter 2C) at the top of the vined wall with his initiative of 20 (19 + 1).
Congratulations, you gain 450 XP and +500 gp. If you would like to roleplay your conversation with the Wardens, you can use the information you've gathered to post a scene. The Wardens will want you to track down the missing Wizard +500 gp
You can level up your character or start fresh with a new Tier 2 character, level 2 with 1500 gp. I've posted new Encounters and updated the lead post on this thread.
OOC: I think I'll keep going with Garagas for now. Kind of want to see how far he can get before he dies. (Plus that'll give me more time to think of what the next character will be. The content sharing is opening up a lot of options I'll want to look at.)
For the information I've gathered, is there a place I should look for that?
And with exploring the tower, is that going through the other T1 encounters too still? Or choose one of the T2 encounters for the next one in the tower? Probably looking at the two polar bears. Gonna want to prep the room with the jelly ochre with some traps and things before proceeding up the stairs though.
I'm open to going backwards and exploring more T1 action, different monsters, what not. The beauty of D&D is that having a real live person as the DM, and not an AI or computer program, the game becomes limitless. Right now we are starting T2 but if you have something else in mind, want to go off script (just a little), let me know. I'm curious if you have an idea that we can try but using the limitations and confines of the Solos mini campaign.

Alrighty. Good to know for going forward. (And in reply to the earlier DM side note, been fun going with the challenges.)
Garagas reaches the top of the vines, potion of heroism in hand and traps dangling at his waist, and gazes into the interior. "Polar bears?" he mutters. Shaking his head at the discovery he says a quick prayer and readies for battle.
Garagas will enter on W7. (light grey is ground-level, right?) Initiative: 5
(self-note: Try using caltrops to slow them down, lay a hunting trap to hold one [use shove actions to push it there if need], and try to get a one on one. Also cast Bane on them.)
Rime, starting at W14, moves to U19. While she moves, she sprays water from her waterskin on the uppermost steps of the broken brown stairs and casts Shape Water freezing it to create a slippery surface in addition to the already challenging climb. She hopes that this way the tiger doesn’t manage to climb up and gives her substantially more time to prepare.
Slippery surface (DMG): Slippery ice is difficult terrain. When a creature moves onto slippery ice for the first time on a turn, it must succeed on a DC 10 Dexterity (Acrobatics) check or fall prone.
I’m not sure how you want to handle the ice on this obstacle that already has a challenge rating. Alternatively to two, the existing one could be harder (which is what I’m aiming for) and also the cited rule is for horizontal hazard, slippery stairs might be more challenging than indicated there. Looking forward to see how you handle it :)

Polar Bear initiative roll 12
(For clarification, there is only one monster at a time, right?)
Standing at the top of the wall, Aresus looks down upon the arctic monstrosity with a grim fire in his eyes. He and polar bears have a long and storied history. Needless to say, this fight's going to be personal. Seeing that the distance between him and the cause of his ire is too great to cover with a javelin, the bugbear instead takes the fire in his eyes and channels it into a glowing red bolt that takes the shape of a throwing axe and spins through the air towards the unpigmented ursidae.
Movement: None, but I'll start at W13 Action: Guiding bolt: 20 (13 + 5 + 2) to hit, 20 (15 + 5) radiant damage
Look at what you've done. You spoiled it. You have nobody to blame but yourself. Go sit and think about your actions.
Don't be mean. Rudeness is a vicious cycle, and it has to stop somewhere. Exceptions for things that are funny. Go to the current Competition of the Finest 'Brews! It's a cool place where cool people make cool things.

Barri moves up to the scorpion shouting, "Aye let's see what you've got." Bonus action rages and swings with his axe.

Battling while at the top of the wall, the Scorpion goes all out with a full multiattack on Barri.
