Cool, i didn't see anything on it on the current updates (also didn't look back very far). Everything only talked about monsters and encounters from what i saw.
I can't see why the user is being left to parse the json... I'm echoing the thoughts higher in this thread; it seems like so many user facing projects in DnDB get started and not completed
Okay so for the life of me I can't figure out this issue. I am trying to make a monster with a Flame Tongue Dagger, and I have it working to the point where it rolls the attack to hit, and the standard piercing damage, but with the additional fire damage it keeps doing 2D4 twice instead of once. This is the text I have for it:
Flame Tongue Dagger. Melee Weapon Attack: [rollable]+7;{"diceNotation":"1d20+7","rollType":"to hit","rollAction":"Flame Tongue Dagger"}[/rollable] to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 [rollable](1d4+4);{"diceNotation":"1d4+4","rollType":"damage","rollAction":"Flame Tongue Dagger","rollDamageType":"piercing"}[/rollable] piercing damage plus 5 [rollable](2d4);{"diceNotation":"2d4","rollType":"damage","rollAction":"Flame Tongue Dagger","rollDamageType":"fire"}[/rollable] Fire damage if activated.
If anyone can spot where my error is, because I have no idea...

Only two weeks late in replying to this, but I see nothing wrong with your rollable tags. I even directly copied and pasted into a homebrew test monster to ensure that nothing fishy was happening, and it works perfectly fine on my end.
Do you perhaps have any extensions enabled that may be interfering? Beyond20, AboveVTT, ad-blockers, VPNs, etc... All of these can cause abnormal behavior.
Yea I use the Beyond20 extension as we play on Roll20.
Whilst playing as well, when I was sending over the rolls to Roll20 none of my players could see the rolls coming from my homebrew monsters which I found strange as well.
This is specifically a problem with the Beyond20 extension, then. D&D Beyond doesn't officially support any third-party extensions. You'd be best off in the meantime submitting a sub report to the creators of Beyond20, and either rolling on your monster stat blocks using the Combat Tracker / Game Log, or rolling manually on Roll20.
Lighting cannon. Range Weapon Attack: A powerfull beam of bolt shot out off the cannon and all hit targets from 10 feet to 60 feet in a line. +6to hit. Each creature within 5 feet of that line must make a Dexterity saving throw. A creature takes (6d10) lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. one time time per day.

Is there a way to put a rollable tag for multiple types you can choose from? (i.e. similar to Chromatic Orb, Tiamat's (not Aspect) Bite attack)
You mean different damage types? The rollable is the same regardless, just leave off the last portions about the damage type (since it currently doesn’t do anything anyway) and list those in plain text afterwords.

I created a creature which is effectively a swarm of wolves. The idea is that it's a beefier wolf that attacks twice and gets pack tactics from itself so it always has advantage unless specifically disadvantaged. Is there a way to build advantage into the roll so that I don't have to right click and select advantage every time I want to roll for them?
Hello everyone! I was wondering if there is a way to add a permanent advantage/disadvantage to a roll? For example if I wanted to create a monster that has an advantage in a cave for attack rolls, and the adventurers are going to find it deep in a cave without possibility of it leaving. It would have advantage on every attack roll. Is there an expression I can use so I'm not right clicking every attack and it will do advantage every time?
I am struggling with this too. I keep trying though.
What’s yer struggle chummer? Maybe I can help.
I don't know what I don't know. Sometimes I overvalue my ability to do these types of things and miss an important beginning step. So I'm heading back to the basics first. I'll work it out eventually.
I appreciate the offer to help. When I figure out my stuck point I might head back here.

Never mind, i see a post about it already. Hopefully we can get something like that in the future 😁👍
This is so complex…
It pronounced Den Sake. It is not Japanese.
Website character sheet not working fix (Hopefully)
Semi-Expert at homebrew, just ask for my help.
I am struggling with this too. I keep trying though.
