As much as I would like in-depth feedback regarding balance, that is a discussion to have elsewhere, I believe.
Back to the main topic, from what you have said, I was on the right track, but then "limits of the system" and all that prevented me from doing it exactly how I wanted to do it. Does that sum it up?
Well, kinda. If you just want them to be able to prepare the spell as normal then you would set the “Always Prepared” field to “no” and that would solve it for you. However you want it to be both always prepared and take up a slot. Yeah, I’m just not sure that’s something the system can do.

How do i add a expanded spell list on a Warlock homebrew subclass that doesnt count to the total spells known?
EXAMPLE:
Starting at 1st level, you learn additional spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown in the SUBCLASS spell table. The spells count as warlock spells for you, but they don’t count against the number of warlock spells you know.

That is not how warlocks are designed to work. So to accomplish that, you will have to jump through some hoops. You will have to add each spell individually using the Spells subform for that feature.
I'm trying to add spells to a barbarian subclass I'm homebrewing. It's sort of like in the Path of the Totem Warrior where they don't have a spellcasting ability but can still cast a very limited number of spells
For Cantrips & Spells That Will NOT Consume Spell Slots:
For non-cantrips, fill in the number of uses either by entering a number in the ”Number of Uses” field, selecting an ability score in the “Uses by Ability Modifier” field, checking the box labeled “Use Proficiency Bonus,” or any combination of those. Then designate a “Reset Type” for the uses.
Is there a way to do this where there's no limit to how many uses there are?

Yes. Leave all fields related to number of uses blank and it will default to “at will.”
Hello I apologize if this has been answered before as I couldn't find it. I'm trying to add a feature, specifically a breath weapon. It is gained at 17th level, and is granted automatically based on an option chosen at 3rd level, which determines the type of damage/dragon ancestor. I achieved this with the 6th level feature before (albeit without the proficiency bonus = damage actually showing up). Anyway, when I create the granted option, and edit that option to include the breath weapon as an action that deals the type of damage, it doesn't appear on the sheet. When I include the breath weapon as an action to the feature without any options, it works, but obviously, I can't make it show a damage type to fit every choice. Am I doing something wrong, or does the automatically granted option just not let you give it an action? Finally, I want to thank you for this entire thread, your tutorial has helped me create so much stuff.
Haha, I waited so long without it working and even sent this comment, somehow editing the level of the character I was testing got it to show up. The system on here can be silly sometimes. If you know how to make the Acid Damage on the attack equal to your proficiency bonus actually show up without having the player just remember it, let me know, otherwise, I thank you for all your support and wish you a great day lol.

You would have to use Level Overrides and set the damage to increase by 1 at each of the appropriate levels.
You need the correct numerical id for your homebrew. This code can be found in the url for the homebrew’s details page. Here is the url for one of my homebrewed spells, Fire and Ice: (https://www.dndbeyond.com/spells/281389-fire-and-ice). (Note the numerical id in the url.)
The right class designation is what makes monster, spell, and magic item tooltips look different. As this is a spell use the spell class designation:
This tooltip links in this section for homebrew seem to not be functioning currently. I hope it's a bug as I do use these pretty often but it may not be 'supported' anymore (since it was never truly supported in their tools).

That section you quoted doesn’t work, no. But if you keep reading down it reads as follows with the relevant section now in larger font and bright red text:

I added extra code into the above examples to highlight sections in pink for visibility which interferes with functionality. The following versions are clean, and can be collected by copy/paste, and then edited.
Now the code needs to be embedded properly. Among the little grey buttons above a description field, click/tap the following button:
That will bring up the html source code for you to embed the code. That will turn this…:

Expanded Spells

animal messenger, moonbeam

fireball, phantom steed

dominate beast, polymorph

insect plague, cloudkill

Hi, do you know how the spell charges work? trying to make a magic item that gives you 3 uses of mending per long rest
Sure. You add three charges to the item, then you add the spell to the item and set the min & max charges to 1.

When I apply 2 different set stat Modifiers, one works but the other doesn't any idea how to resolve this?
My aim was to have the item set the strength score of the character to 18 and their Wisdom score to 10, but only the Strength stat is applied.
If the character’s Wis score is already higher than 10, then the higher value will always prevail.

i don't know if you said how to do this already, but how do you add a choice box (Like for a warlock eldrich invokations) in your subclass?
Spells: My spells. Races: My races Monsters: My monsters Magic items: My items
Those “choice boxes” as you call them are simply class or subclass features features that have different Options that players can choose. I went into full detail on how to properly set up subclass feature Options in the Homebrew Subclasses & Species FAQ, question #1 in the very first post in this thread: (https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/dungeons-dragons-discussion/homebrew-house-rules/131411-a-homebrewers-how-to-faq#HomebrewSubclasses&SpeciesFAQ).
