In other news, I need help with this spell, clearly meant to work in a similar way to chaos bolt, but it just rolls ALL the dice and I don't have access to chaos bolt, so can't even create a spell using it as a template to see how they do it, so any and all help may save my sanity (at least the little that I have) xd
That looks to just be a table, so the easiest way is to use something like Word, create and fill in your table there and then copy and paste the entire thing into the trait description box of your subclass
I find excel / google sheets better than word to copy and paste from. You can also copy and paste from a page that has a table like Clockwork sorc subclass.
Or, if you want to be a bit extra... click the </> icon and use HTML.

Probably been asked a million times, but I can't seem to find any topics about it in the forums;
For magic weapons, what modifier type allows you to change the crit range ? I want to make a weapon that crits on a 19 or 20, but I can't find the modifier anywhere. Do I just make a note about the enhanced crit range in the weapon's description?

That is not possible in the system and will have to be done as plain text.

Hi a short question. I'm trying to create a magic weapon, its attacks are based on the longsword (1d8 and 1d10) but when its finished, there is a sdescription in there that i can't delete. The "Proficiency with a longsword grants you blah blah blah" thing. Is there a wqay to delete this?

That is automatically applied by the system as it is hard coded to the base level equipment (the Longsword) and that level of the content builder and not granted to us as Users, only Admins.
Not sure if it's possible, but is their away to make the limited uses of a feature equal to the characters proficiency bonus under the Actions section? I thought about adding a limited use for each change in proficiency bonus but wouldn't that base it off of class level, and since proficiency bonus is based on overall level wouldn't it be incorrect if it was a multi-class?
Edit: Just check the box that says "Use proficiency bonus" and make sure theproficiency bonus operator is set to addition.

PB is based on overall level, so multiclassing doesn't matter.
For anyone who needs help with this, perhaps my video might be of use.

Hello, I've searched through about 10 to 15 of the most recent pages of this thread and could not find an answer, so if it's there and someone can point me to which page of the this thread it's on I'd be most appreciative. So here goes.
I'm working on creating a Kitsune race from the world of Kamigawa from MTG. I wanted to tie in some scalable use per long rest features that are "tied" to the number of tails the character grows (AKA: reaching a certain level.) So as an example:
1 tail = Faerie Fire 1 / long rest 2 tails = Faerie Fire 2 / long rest (gotten at 4th level) 3 tails = Faerie Fire 3 / long rest (gotten at 6th level)
Along with two other spells gotten at higher levels. So to do this I started by just giving the same spell to the race with the differing times per long rest at the levels I wanted to indicate. The problem then comes that the test character now has the spell added to their trait's list 3 times.. and suddenly looks like they can use it 6 / long rest since the other smaller uses are still available. Any help on correcting this would be very appreciative, and pointing me to the answer if it's already there I'd be very thankful.
Edit: I found the way to do this on my own. I changed it from a spell given to an action, and it work.
Is there currently a way to homebrew a creature and have some of it's stats based on a player's proficiency bonus? It is going to be a class feature for a druid to be able to summon them.

Nope. It’s not even possible for official class features that use PB in creatures (steel defender, primal companion, etc)
I just rewarded my players with some custom magic items. Some are not valid for publishing and that is fine as I only want to share them in this campaign. I have master tier and content sharing on which according to the following means the players can use them:
Q: Can I share my homebrew with others in my campaign, without submitting it as public homebrew? A: Absolutely! The DM of a campaign will be able to select which homebrew is in use within their campaign and this included any homebrew items they have created, whether they have made them public or not.
However it seems that the items that can't be published can'tbe equipped by the players either.

Any idea on what I am missing here?
Do your players have homebrew turned on (red) on the home page of the builder? Are the characters in your campaign? Are the homebrew items in your collection?
So, I'm having some trouble inserting a homebrew spell into the expanded spell list for my homebrew warlock subclass. When I put the spell name between the [Tooltip Not Found] code, it just shows tooltip not available. Is there a way to do that or can we not put homebrew spells into spell lists?
Hello! Are there plans for newer videos and tutorials to adjust for the fixes that have been applied to the homebrew creator, and are there any current notes on what is being worked on as far as errors or inconsistencies in the homebrew creator?
Hello! I was hoping to create a magic item that grants the attuned wearer the ability to cast Eldritch Blast, and also gives the wearer the five Warlock Invocations that affect EB: Agonizing Blast, Eldritch Spear, Grasp of Hadar, Lance of Lethargy, and Repelling Blast. I was going to call it the Blasting Cap. Can someone either explain how to do it, or create it so I can add it to my collection? I couldn't figure it out.
Thanks!

Okay, well that's annoying, but thank you, I'll just have to remember the range for the weapon instead of having it displayed then

Chaos Pulse
On the plus side, the level scaling works perfectly...
Can anyone tell me how to make charts for a homebrew subclass. Such as what was done here:
The Aberrant Brood Class for Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) Fifth Edition (5e) - D&D Beyond (dndbeyond.com)
That looks to just be a table, so the easiest way is to use something like Word, create and fill in your table there and then copy and paste the entire thing into the trait description box of your subclass
