Without playing the part of the mole rat and slip past legs for a good look inside, Doozey just draws apostle in answer to any glance back inside of readiness. Biscuit, on the other hand, lower himself, ready to charge into the room as soon as battle is joined, ripping the first foe to get in range of fangs and horns.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
When you realize you're doing too much: Signature.
CRAP is ready and Cassyt indicates that she understands she is not to engage. She points at herself and then to the ground right where she stands.
(OOC: If you are going to attack, you may consider this a surprise round where you can each take a turn while the enemies will take none. When posting you turn, please go ahead and roll initiative as well.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Utar's Initiative: 7
Their targets selected, Utar nods his readiness and silently wishes his friends luck.
Aiming for the zombie at L,85 he rushes directly for it, activating Lightbringer on the charge. Arriving, he unceremoniously introduces Lightbringer to the zombie.
Attack: 28 Damage: 8
On a hit, Lightbringer does an extra 2 radiant damage as well as 4 for divine strike.
(OOC Happy to be redirected to another zombie if needed.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Neya's initiative: 22
Neya uses the dark of the catacombs to teleport herself (bonus action: shadow step) right next to the kobold and throws a punch to make its sleep even deeper.
Unarmed Attack: 19 Damage: 6
Auto crit damage (kobold is unconscious, if the attack wasn't already a crit): 3
Extra Unarmed Attack: 17 Damage: 9
If the kobold goes down in the first attack, she will move to attack the nearest zombie.
(Is anyone seeing that the detailed rolls on my turn are scuffed, as well or is it just my side?)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Initiative: 20.
As soon as Graxx shouts, Doozey facepalms, but Biscuit happily lets out a big bark of his own before rushing into the fray, joining Graxx and the rest. Doozey lags only so far behind though, for soon he rushed into the entryway, took in the zombies number, and then practically leaped to the north to try and cut down the zombie there after sharp command in Sylvan to Biscuit to do the same to the another Zombie.
(OOC: I'll resolve all of this surprise round in one go and then post an initiative tracker. I was a bit confused by Biscuit's placement as he wouldn't be able to attack the zombie Doozey ordered him to attack from the posted spot, so I'm reinterpreting his position and target a bit.)
Neya teleports next to the kobold and the group interprets this as the signal to rush into the room and knock some zombies down. The monk non-lethally defeats the sleeping kobold while Graxx forces the attention of two zombies onto himself. Utar and Doozey than rush in to finish off each of these two provoked zombies. (Sleeping Kobold takes 12 magical bludgeoning damageand is DEAFEATED NON-LETHALLY; Zombie#1 takes 24 magical piercing, magical bludgeoning, and radiant damage and is DEFEATED; Zombie#4 takes 22 magical piercing damage and is DEFEATED.)
The zombie that Doozey put down begins moving again just a second later. Biscuit jumps into action and bites it, forcing it to stop on its tracks once again. Unfortunately, this proves to be quite the stubborn foe. The zombie rises again. (Zombie#4 recover 1 HP.)
Meanwhile, Neya delivers a side-kick to another remaining zombie. (Zombie#3 takes 10 magical bludgeoning damage.)
With a fight in their hands and plenty of a noisy ruckus caused, CRAP can hear voices coming from the rooms beyond the bend: "What was that? Were we followed? We must escape. Release the juggernaut. Save all the manuscripts."
Neya encourages the group to be speedy and delivers a series of cracking blows to the nearest zombie, making sure this one does not stand back up. (Zombie#3 takes 28 magical bludgeoning damage and is DEFEATED.)
Neya then goes around the corner and looks into the next chamber. She sees a large room (roughly 20 x 50 feet) with a few beds and a desk. Perhaps more interesting, there is a bright circle drawn on the ground, made out of clearly magical runes. Two more zombies stand between Neya and the rest of the room. She can also see or hear two more kobolds. Finally, the person shouting orders is a female human with a shaven head and red robes. Neya has interacted with such magical users in the past, or heard about them from fellow adventurers when fighting the Dragon and their followers in the woods. This Red Wizard is most certainly of Thayan origin. What's more, she looks a bit familiar.
(OOC: Neya is the only one who can see this happening.)
The Red Wizard issues brief instructions to her followers, similar to the ones CRAP heard just a moment ago. She then grabs a haversack, moves toward the desk, and casts a spell on herself.
-> Neya can roll an arcana check to try to identify the spell, a history check to see if she remembers who this might be since she looks a bit familiar, and an insight check to read the situation a bit more. Because these constitute plenty of analysis on the go, I'll say that rolling these three checks will use up Neya's reaction this turn.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The zombies don't seem to be following any directed orders, although the fact they weren't attacking the now unconscious kobold is a bit strange. They simply swing at the nearest target. The two that Neya spotted on the other room move toward her before attacking.
Doozey wears armor for a reason, and that decision is justified as an undead fist slams harmlessly against him. Something very similar happens to Graxx, sans the armor part. Dodging slow-moving zombie fists are a cake-walk for Neya and her speed.
Utar calls back along the tunnel they entered the room from, "Time to get moving, Cassyt! We're pushing on and we can't leave you behind! Danger close!"
Stepping over the body of the zombie at his feet, Utar strides towards his next dancing partner, introducing Lightbringer again.
Attack: 15 Damage: 8
On a hit there's an extra 4 radiant damage from Lightbringer as well as 1 from divine strike.
Neya recognizes the relatively simple spell the Red Wizard has cast on herself. It is Mage Armor. Perhaps more importantly, the monk also recognizes the wizard herself. She matches the exact description shared by other companions of the Thayan necromancer named Zaralda. She had been sent into the Quivering Forest to broker an alliance with one of the factions of the Cult of the Dragon and help Claugiyliamatar corrupt the forest. Last CRAP heard about her, she had been killed.
As for the situation at hand, Neya has the slight impression the necromancer may be talking to more than just the nearby kobolds, but that the extent of the monk's conclusions at this time.
Utar updates his instructions to Cassyt and begins to move toward the deeper chamber {K-85}. As he walks, he slams Lightbringer onto the next zombie's face. Somehow, the creature remains standing, even though it now lacks any recognizable facial features. (Zombie#2 takes 13 magical bludgeoning and radiant damage.)

(@Drache: Neya is wearing her dragon mask fragment, right?)
Two kobolds move closer to Neya and begins swirling their slings. One of them is using a regular pebble, but the other loads a small clay pot of some type to his launcher.
-> Neya's CON saving throw vs. stinkpot {DC 10}: 5
The pebble strikes the wall near the monk, while the clay pot strikes the floor. Neya can smell some sort of badly mixed poison emanating form the now crashed pot and contents, but it does not seem to affect her.
Separately, Neya hears the voice of another kobold coming from the room to her right (beyond the opening above {I-81}.) The sound of banging metal and swiveling hinges can also be heard a second later.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"GO! I can handle these!" Graxx shouts at the others.
Graxx turns his attention to the Zombie Utar just hit and will unleash two attacks upon it(transferable to other nearest zombie if it goes down).
Graxx's attacks will be RECKLESS and with GREAT WEAPON MASTERY!
Attack: 11 Damage: 21
Attack: 20 Damage: 18

Graxx tells his companions to move onward and to leave the zombies in the current area to him. A second later, his pike is sticking out of the head of the zombie Utar had just attacked. This zombie falls and stops moving (Zombie#2 takes 19 magical piercing damage and is DEFEATED.)
Graxx turns and attacks the stubborn zombie that was giving Doozey and Biscuit some trouble. This one also falls. The barbarian pokes it one more time just to be sure. (Zombie#1 takes 38 magical piercing damageand is DEFEATED.)
The are no more enemies in this first area at this moment.
More sounds come from the room near Neya, where a kobold was saying something and hinges in need of oil were screeching. This time, the noises originating from that room are more akin to some grunts and bashing thuds. Neya is pretty sure the kobold she heard also squirmed for a second and let out a pitiful cry.
Without playing the part of the mole rat and slip past legs for a good look inside, Doozey just draws apostle in answer to any glance back inside of readiness.
