"You took all the meat," you hear one voice. "Have the bone," you hear another voice. "I don't want the bone," says the first voice. "A little late," says the second voice with a loud belching sound. "Fine. Give me the bone," says the first voice.
Whispering There arguing about who gets to eat what. If we want to kill them, I can head to the southern log and get their attention. Then you guys could use range attacks or circle around to the northern log. What do you think?
(DM NOTE: @Xanth, I am not sure exactly what you are trying to look for. I think a Survival check would be needed if you are trying to gauge the lay of the land. I will move on anyway.)
XANTH will recognize that these are mature female Ogres. The creek is at the bottom of a small ten-foot gorge. The logs look sturdy enough to cross.
(DM NOTE: A square that has vegetation or the logs crossing the creek are considered difficult terrain, or one-half movement. Everyone in the party is dexterous enough to cross the logs without issue as long as you cross with your one-half movement. To move quicker would require a DEX check, but even then, a DC10 should be sufficient. A failed DEX check would mean you slip on the log and fall into the creek taking 1d6 damage in the fall.)
Ragdor looks over the area, considering Xanth's idea, perhaps I should go with you, I'm not very good at playing the sneak. Glynt, Bix and Erky can make it around the other way, he looks at Bix, I've heard tale that the dark elf can command darkness? If that's so then you may need to use that to hide yourselves once you get into position. Once you hear Xanth and I start from the other side you can dismiss it and that should put the three of you attacking them from behind. Mind the ogre's, they are incredibly strong, I've seen them drop a warrior with one hit.
Ah yes, the green glowy thing, that'd be good, also, touching the holy symbol around his neck, he blesses Xanth, Bix and Glynt, blessThe Lady watch over us.
ERKY will whispers, "I am not very stealthy as well. I will move behindXANTHandRAGDOR."
(Bix, go ahead and move your token for one round's worth of actions. I will wait to see what Glynt will do before Xanth and Ragdor move, for their movement will get the Ogre's attention.)
(( OOC if each square on the map is 5ft then I can work away without having to cross the water. ))
"When we move out I will position myself just below the northern most crossing so I can use magic and arrows from a distance. Just so you know I can try to hit them with Faerie Fire but unless they are close together when I cast I may only be able to hit one of them - it's still worth a go though, and especially if I can get it off early."
(( also OOC - Faerie Fire has an AOE/Area-of-Effect of a 20ft Cube, and they are all quite large so I will need them grouped somewhat ))
(DM NOTE: Faerie Fire: Each object in a 20-foot cube within range is outlined in blue, green, or violet light (your choice). Any creature in the area when the spell is cast is also outlined in light if it fails a Dexterity saving throw. I placed a 20-foot cube on the map. Unfortunately resizing the map made the squares, well, more rectangular. But the principle is still the same. At present, all three Ogres could potentially be "in the area". The spell doesn't say "within", so Glynt should be able to get all three at present. The biggest issue is that Glynt will need to be within 60' and he is currently much further than that. He would need to move closer. I placed a line on the map as well. Please feel free to move or remove the line or cube. It may be in the way of your character's token placement.)

"Before we rush in, the the last guy hurt anyone?"
"I have a small scrap nothing to worry about. Also, before we charge in could you put that green glow around them?"
Ah yes, the green glowy thing, that'd be good, also, touching the holy symbol around his neck, he blesses Xanth, Bix and Glynt, bless The Lady watch over us.
Unfortunately, I am not able to control darkness Ragdor. I'm ready to go whenever you two are. Whenever we are ready to move out Stealth Check 24.
Drat. Oh well. Everyone ready? If so then stay sharp. Ragdor looks around the party.
BIX's movement will go undetected by the Ogres.
ERKY will whispers, "I am not very stealthy as well. I will move behind XANTH and RAGDOR."

The Lady Ogres do not yet notice the party.
"Faerie Fire only lasts a minute so I won't be casting it until we are nearly ready to engage"
(( I also placed a copy of that green dot on the map where I plan to be when I cast the spell. ))
Xanth moves towards the southern log once Glynt is in possession. He will also go into a rage as soon as Combat starts.
Ragdor nods to his friends and follows Xanth, checking his shield and hammer...
Glynt will Stealth 25 over towards the area he's planning on casting from (map updated). Taking care not to separate from the group too much.
(( OOC that means I don't want to be the only person who has moved and failed a stealth check all out on his own some ))
(DM NOTE: Xanth and Ragdor's movement will likely get their attention.)
ROLL FOR INITIATIVE
(Go ahead and move you tokens, or provide map references for your token, West 5 North 1, something like that.)
ERKY INITIATIVE 16
ERKY STEALTH 18 + 4 GUIDANCE 22
ERKY seeing GLYNT move to the north, decides to follow his kind. And moves rather quietly for a change.
(Neither Bix, Erky, or Glynt will be detected by the Lady Ogres in Round One.)
LOVELY LADIES INITIATIVE 14
Let's see if we can hold them at the bridge Ragdor says to Xanth. Initiative roll 5
