Quippyur absent-mindedly heads north and comes to a room identical to the one with the draining crack in it. However, the wall that had the rock with the shiny thing behind in the other room instead has a large mosaic. The mosaic features an image of a man with amber skin tone, hair flowing free and wild in the wind, his arms outstretched before a backdrop of stormy prehistoric lands. You can pick out a few creatures in the image, such as topaz dragons, plesiosaurs and rocs. There's an open arch to the west.
The rest of the party heads into the central hall looking for Quippyur, but doesn't find him. Which way do you go next?
[The blue dot is Quippyur and the maroon dot is the rest of the party. Also, just as a side note, the next dungeon is a lot smaller but heavily combat focussed since there's been barely any combat so far. Obviously your characters are unaware of this but thought I'd give a rough idea of it just as a heads up.]
You go through the west arch and find a room similar to the stores room Irabella is in, but noticeably shorter. On the water's surface, 4 eagles perch on driftwood. One of them seems to perk up as you swim into the room, as if it's noticed you, but remains still, listening and smelling for prey. (You'll need to make a Stealth check contested by the eagle's passive Perception if you want to move unnoticed.) In your small fish form, somehow the birds feel much more imposing then they usually would, as they appear to be giant compared to your tiny body.
Eggo Lass perks up at the mention of eagles. Poultry. Eggs. Sure some bity beaks and terror talons. But food! She follows Sly to the next room. "Hope we get some of those eagles in view."
Quippyur darts below the water, and although the eagles spot him and dive under after him, they quickly give up chase over such a measly meal and return to their perch where you found them Sly peeks round the corners and spots no threats in either, but as she looks through the southern-most eastern door, a quipper, recognisable as Bilyur from the slightly rusty brown line of scales across the bridge of the fish's face that match the scar from his duel with Tony, whizzes past. Quippyur enters the room and finds it identical to the other two rooms he's been in (the one with the tapestry and the one with the crack) but otherwise empty.
[Sorry for the absence, I'm back now and my calendar is satisfyingly empty for the foreseeable future, but bare with me as I get back into the swing of things as I unpack and stuff, I'll have the updated map out soon!]
Sly, Eggo Lass and assumedly Hugh as well head through the northeastern door to find a large room like the one with the bell in it. It is empty, with an open arch to the south and large wooden double door to the north.
Sly tells the others, while threading water: "According to our gnome resident, we should be heading to the east to find the portal. And I think I spied Bilyur in the next room."
She will head to the room to the south and then look into the next one, to the east. All the while she tries to avoid the bite-happy Quippyur. The wizard sprinkles some more rations into the water to occupy it.
The party heads through into the eastern room, Quippyur occupied with eating the rations in the water, and finds a dark and twisted mirror image of the room Irabella inhabits. Similar to that room, there is a large pile of debris at the far end, making a mound that emerges from the water. You can see that the roost is mainly gathered driftwood, but you can also see bones and tattered gear constituting the nest of the enormous eagle sat atop it. The bird is huge, even for an eagle, easily the size of a peryton, and seems to be sitting on a gigantic egg beneath it. Also scattered around the nest are about a dozen normal eagle eggs. The Giant Eagle looks very predatory and battle scarred, and though some of you are aware that these creatures are more intelligent than their smaller counterparts, this one looks incredibly violent. It is currently asleep, but Stealth checks must be made to move without it waking up.
Sly stares at Eggo. "You mean to snatch the egg? What for?"
She looks around and presumably only sees Hugh. Sly doesn't count Quippyur, aggressively biting as he may be. She raises an exebrow towards Eggo. It's clear that the tiefling doesn't think that they would easily overpower the oversized eagle.
(We lost a lot of rations in the last dungeon. I'm thinking it might make sense to try and stock up.) Seeing the tiefling's unsure look she adds, (If it's sleeping we could get the drop on it. Throw some spells at it, dive under the water for cover if needs be.) She has a hopeful look on her face.
If Sly remains unconvinced she'll head back North in search of the portal.
Quippyur successfully hides without waking the Giant Eagle.
[You can take the 12 regular eggs as long as you succeed on your Stealth check to get over there since the Giant Eagle isn't roosting on them, but if you want to take the Giant Egg, you'll have to wake the Giant Eagle]

Sly, unaware of Bilyurs escapades, scouts the two entrances to the east of the room the party is in.
The quppyur dives as deep under the water as possible and swims through the southernmost eastern door.
