Quippyur thinks. 'Big bird look mean. Small birds look less mean. I could bite Small birds.  But not with Big bird around.'

Sly looks like she'd rather be anywhere else. Soaking wet and cold, exhausted from the constant swimming.

"If you must, try snatching some of the smaller ones from beneath its beak. If it notices you, I'll venture to lend my assistance."

[Idk, maybe 40 minutes? You can take a Short Rest in Irabella’s room if you want and it’ll fully wear of.]

Quippyur swims back to Irabella's room and hides by her rock, hoping to rest for a short period.

OOC: does Bilyur get the benefits of a short rest?

[Yea sure after the rest is finished, though it might be best for the rest of the party to follow as well so you’re not doing nothing for ages] 

Eggo Lass quietly swims through the waters to the eggs, sneakily taking the loose ones and putting them in her bag. (We're going to have so many omelets!) she squeals excitedly through her telepathy.

Stealth: 18+3 = 21

You successfully gather up all the eggs without waking the Giant Eagle. Each egg will make enough food to feed the entire party for a meal, and I won't be picky and annoying about them going off, let's just say you've also got a Ye Olde Coolbox or something lmao! I strongly suggest you now head back to Irabella to take a short rest so Quippyur can go back to Bilyur, but technically it's up to you (can't say you won't get ambushed by evil fatigue monsters tho for not resting lol)

After getting the eggs, Eggo Lass heads back with Sly and Quippyur to wait out the gnome's transformation.

Sly is impressed with Eggos sneaking. When she's back, the tiefling nods, somewhat relieved that there was no need for tussling with a giant eagle.

"Well done. I've seen the quipper scuttle off back to where we came from. Let's follow it."

The wizard will eventually return back to Irabella and climbs back onto the boxes. She enjoys the reprieve from the water, wringing out her robe and taking out a small comb to tame her hair back into shape.

She will wait until Quippyur is back to his normal self.

The Quippyur hides until he turns back into Bilyur, who shakes his head and goes, "Man that made my mind muddy. What did I miss?"

 [I guess a Phantom would just be a reflavoured eagle or other avian stat block like a pterosaur tbh, I don't think they've got any special properties other than being burning in sunlight, darkvision, and probably radiant damage vulnerability. Still, it would have been nice to get a few more mobs like a Shulker mimic or Ghast, that would have been cool. Feel free to do whatever now the rest's over, AkodoDani's been offline for a few days so I'll just bot Hugh for now, hopefully he'll get over another bout of NPC Flu (new questline just dropped guys: find a cure (spoiler alert, it's called unemployment lmao and it's very very expensive) ]

"You were very bitey." remarks Eggo Lass to Bilyur's query. She opens her bag to reveal the eggs, "And we got some grub!" After a moment she asks, "You said it muddied your mind. But do you remember any fishy stuff?"

Sly nods to Eggos remarks. "You owe our friend here an apology.", indicating Irabella.

"At least we have narrowed down the location of the shadow weave." She looks to the female gnome. "And found no trace of the golden steed."

"I remember being terrified of the eagles, I remember a strange squealing sound, and I remember the general layout of the rooms, but that's about it."

Irabella grins and says 'There's no need to apologise, if I was a fish I'd probably do the same thing!' She then says to Sly 'It's curious, I've scanned all over and I haven't found a trace of the Golden Steed. Doesn't help that I don't know what I'm looking for either. Maybe it's hidden in a secret room behind a wall somewhere and not out in the open? No clue where such a place might be though.'

"Oh well." says Eggo Lass' of Bilyur's memory loss. Thinking of Irabella's words she asks, "Where exactly have you checked so far?"

Sly is sketching a rough floor plan according to the groups explorations so far.

"The layout seems to be roughly symmetrical. If this holds up, we may be quite close to finding the shadow weave in the northeast corner of this wet nightmare."

Waiting to see if Irabella has any new information upon Eggos question, the wizard will then propose: "Let's be on our way before we catch a cold. It was a pleasure Irabella, I hope you find the treasure you're looking for.". Sly will then get into the water once more with a lot of cursing and move to the entrance to the northeastern unexplored room.

The wizard thinks about the hidden treasure, but concludes that there was no way that she would risk drowning or soaking her spell book even more than it already was.

[Sorry I haven’t responded yet guys, I’m away from my laptop this week as I’m in Spain, so I can’t really do the coloured text for Irabella. I’ll probably just scrap the coloured text for her as it only really matters for characters, and I’ll get a response out soon 👍]
