"That should do." Harper affirms after collecting the 250pp from CRAP. "I'll have your scroll in about 25 days, and your scrying focus much sooner than that." Harper spares a look at Sirge and begins to move out of his chair. "Very well then. With that, I believe our employable conversation is getting close to its end. We know you had quite a long day and do not wish to keep you. Thank you for the delicious meal. I hope we can soon do this again without the need to discuss business." Sirge agrees with nods and sagely "hmm" noises.
(OOC: If there is anything else to discuss with the Harpers, now would be a good time to bring it up. Otherwise, he is about to call it a night.)
Utar stifles a yawn and streches his arms out, "Yes, we've been too focused on business lately, not enough time to catch up with friends and discuss, well, things that are not business!"
"Mn, sorry we couldn't make this more accomadating for that sorta thing. But, with everything going on out there, well... I'm sure you Harpers more than understand. And with any luck, we aughta have plenty of Sugared Beetles left for desert!"Doozey not only said so brightly, but there was even a bit of drool that slipped out from just anticipating such a future snack. "But 'till next time, ya'll take care now and we'll make a more earnest effort to keep ya'll in the loop when we can." Doozey further assured the pair before hopping out of his seat and escorting them back to the front door. Afterwards, Doozey would go find Sagin, and together with Biscuit, the trio would dig into some of the Sugared Beetle supplies with a gusto!
That was, assuming of course noone else had other ideas for the evening that required attention...
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
When you realize you're doing too much: Signature.
Sirge coughs at the idea of "sugared beetles" while Harper nods along with Utar's and Doozey's sentiment.
The Harper agents say their polite goodbyes to everyone and accept Doozey's escort to the magical door that delivers them back at the Leadstopper Residence's entryway. Shortly after, they are outside and on their way to meet with Olisara, presumably.
(OOC: At this point, I think we are pretty ready to call it on this episode. The resolution of the agreement with Olisara and the separate proposed meeting with Dornal can be taken care of in downtime if everyone is in agreement. That said, is there anything else anyone would like to do before we close the curtains on this episode?)
After the Harper agents leave, CRAP is ready to call it a night.
With Raist’s mansion still up, the party members have the choice of sleeping in their own beds in the residence or the wizard’s luxurious magical home.
-> You may all complete a Long Rest.
(OOC: I’ll make our usual end-of-episode logistical posts soon. Keep an eye out for the XP post.)
Doozey chooses to sleep on his own bed and Biscuit follows his companion. After sleeping on the road over the last several days, Neya and Utar are likely to also prefer their own beds for the night. Raist's bed within the mansion is designed to his own definition of perfection, so the wizard stays inside. If allowed, Sagin will also stay the night in Raist's creation.
(OOC: With the of this day of meetings, we now reach the end of ACT IV - ORC ASSAULT and of Episode 14 overall. Go ahead and add 6,900 XP to each of your character's sheets. Details can be found in the OOC Chat. I'll close out this thread in the coming days after one or two last bookkeeping posts. We can deal with downtime activities out-of-character. Thanks everyone for another great episode!)
This is our usual end-of-episode bookkeeping post. It's been a little while but it should look familiar for most of you. In this post, we'll note all the XP gained during the episode so that we all have a handy one-stop-shop in this thread to verify your XP gains. It also helps all of us ensure that we are on the same page. More details on the exact XP gained can be found in the OOC channel, and are summarized in the box below.
ACT I - Riot in Phlan...................................................................2,100 XP per character ACT II - Grimshackle Jail...............................................................5,100 XP per character ACT III - King's Pyre...................................................................6,600 XP per character ACT IV - Orc Assault....................................................................6,900 XP per character
TOTAL XP earned by the party.................................................more than 20,700 XP per character
Just to confirm, you should each have exactly 134,700 XP as of the end of this episode.
Here are some last reminders before I close out this thread:
Now that the episode is concluding, you all have a good opportunity to engage in any dividing/sharing/bargaining/requesting/trading of your spoils of war as you see fit, if so desired. Please do so in the OOC channel.
I will soon initiate the conversation on downtime activities.
You should feel free to go shopping for any mundane items during downtime without the need for RPing. I'll reiterate that this only applies to more mundane items, which can be sold for 50% value (rounded down) or bought for the price listed in the PHB 2024. Potions of healing of the common variety fall under this mundane category as well. If you plan to purchase several of the same item, you may run into supply shortages as stores' inventories are not infinite. Just let me know what you plan to buy and we can go from there.
You can assume that there are enough financiers in town for you to exchange your coins/gems/art pieces/treasure as you see fit. You obviously have to keep the same overall value in your wallet, but feel free to exchange all those pesky copper pieces for silver, cumbersome electrum pieces for gold, opals and sculptures for coins, etc. The only exception here is platinum. Those coins are not readily available for exchanging.
With that, I'm closing the curtains on this episode. I have some prep to do, but we should be back for the next episode soon enough. I'll keep you guys updated.
It was a pleasure running this game for you folks, as always.
“I can contribute.” Neya puts down 100 platinum.
