"A fungus maybe." Mostly joking. "Alright... you want me to just make a run for it and try to lure the thing into a kill box, or be more patient and just leave this little guy out there to be nibbled on?" indicating the Kobold. "I could maybe shot put him out there. He's not too big."
Pushoveragrees with K that she'd like to learn what this dead eater might be, and although she doesn't quite agree with the use of a dead body as bait, especially since being eaten by a monster was what the party had just saved them from, she doesn't have any better plans of her own (as usual), so will go along with it just fine.
K peers around, seeing if there are other corpses to use besides the kobold one they just rescued from the spider. Feels just a bit off to use the one they just rescued as bait. "Grigor, Sigurd, you two look like you can yeet a body. Any of you guys want to give it a try? Maybe with a corpse different than the one we just rescued, if possible? And then once that 'dead eater' appears, either Pushover or I can fire a spell at a stalactite so it'd fall on the thing, yeah?"
Grig's nods in approval of the toss, then remembers it's a dead kobold and feels slightly guilty. I mean, it's not like he killed the guy. Then he readies weapons for whatever is coming.
The dead kobold falls under the cluster of stalactites. After a moment of silence, you see something begin to creep along the cave's ceiling. Traveling down a stalactite is a worm like thing the size of a wolf. It slithers towards the corpse, it's tentacles pulling the body to its mouth.
"Nope." Grigor shamelessly declines to get cozy with the giant bug with a shake of his head and readies his bow to shoot at stalactites with the others.
(If you need an attack roll, would I be able to use steady aim?)
(It's a large target so no need for an attack roll on the rocks on the ceiling. The monster is focused on eating so it does not notice the party. Hitting the rocks will initiate a surprise round.)

K snaps her fingers, and a ball of crackling energy appears in her hand before she hurls the beam at a large stalactite above the creature, the same time Grigor takes a shot with his bow and arrow. She then quickly gets ready for combat, her spellbook clutched in her other hand. [Initiative for when needed: 2]

K shrugs. "We can certainly try. I'm quite curious to what the goblin means by 'dead eater', though."
(If you guys want to try, feel free. Toss a body or something. -Casually throw a dead body-)
