To take the item at the designated spots will just need an action. Then a flat roll to determine what you did pull out of the sand/debris. Any repeat numbers will be rerolled again. And I'll quote the action to announce what was found.
Apologies for not updating the initiative tracker and causing a bit of a discussion.
Quite alright. Now we know these are burried in sand and action to get them. That helps thanks
Khazela's next turn will be that she casts Resistance against piercing damage on herself and burrows into the ground and moves under the wall structure to her northwest (some 10 feet to get away from these two goblins surrounding her to O-20.5). This movement may cause attacks of opportunity from the two goblins and I will wait to see if the goblins do attack (and perhaps hit and fell her) before continuing with the movement.
This is the continuation of Khazela's turn:
She will burrow below the structure (to arrive at O20.5). If the goblins try to strike at her with an attack of opportunity, and at least one hits, as a reaction she casts Spiny Shield. If one of them hits and she had cast the spell, she also passes near the goblin on M21 to try and trick them into an opportunity attack against her. If the first two goblins missed, and hence the spiny shield spell wasn't cast, she will not approach the goblin and rather save her spell, and move towards goblin N16 without offering an opportunity to M21.
Either way, she attacks the goblin on N16 with a bonus action unarmed strike if she doesn't get KO'ed before, hit roll 11 for 7 damage.
imp on his turn goes to j6. He should be able to get there and pick up item (bonus action or action).
what additional mechanical interaction with the item is needed to determine if it is what we need?
(Rolled for imp in previous post.)
Xodon's imp flies down to the glimmer it saw in the sand. After a bit of sifting through the sands, the imp finds a small case with a silver latch. It's a small case, just about the size of human fist.
I apologize for being so insistent and I thank you for the clarification, I didn't check the game log and thus didn't realize that you rolled for an attack. I'm also curious to see what the DM will say about the item interaction, specifically what we can learn about the items just by being nearby or basically standing on one.

Before I take damage and begin my turn, may I spend a reaction and cast a spell from my Origin Feat?
(Speaking of damage.)
Another thrown dagger strikes Charlotte once more, bringing the noble down. The crowd responds with jeers and insults.
The announcer clicks his tongue, "First to kill and first to fall, seems like this noble is just a glass cannon folks!"
(Charlotte will roll death saves as normal. On three fails, the arena will teleport her out along with counting the match as a loss for her. On three, will be stable and can rejoin the combat with 1 HP on the next round. This also counts if an ally stabilizes her, letting her join back in combat with 1 HP at her next turn)

Spiny shield damage reduction and damage dealt to M21: 7 If reduction isn't enough and the spell hasn't been used above, using Resistance to reduce damage further by 4
Summary: Goblin R22 receives 4 damage and its damage (6) is blocked by spiny shield (4) and resistance (3). Goblin M21 receives 7 damage and its damage is blocked entirely by spiny shield. All damage was blocked and no concentration needed.
Blood singing in her ears and blades flashing all around her, Khazela hissed through her teeth and clenched a fist over her heart, muttering a sharp phrase in her native tongue. A faint shimmer rippled across her fur, a spiritual ward wrapping her in a protective veil—Resistance, a blessing against piercing pain. Then, without warning, she dropped low—lower than the goblins expected. With a surge of movement, her claws tore into the sand and she vanished beneath it, quills rustling like brambles as she burrowed with uncanny speed.
The goblins screeched in surprise, slashing wildly at the shifting ground. One blade struck true—barely—but was met with a sudden, bristling snap! as spiritual spines erupted from Khazela’s back. The attacker cried out, its arm flayed by the reactive thorns.
She re-emerged just behind the ruined wall to the northwest, her fur matted with dust, breath sharp in her throat. A third goblin stood just a few feet away, startled by her sudden appearance—but Khazela didn’t stop. She moved deliberately into its reach, twisting her body as she did, exposing the barbed spines bristling along her back. The goblin took the bait and lunged.
Its blade struck—but a crack of spiritual energy flared as enchanted quills shot out like a trap sprung. The goblin cried out in pain, its slash thwarted and its arm sliced deep by the very target it struck. Khazela didn’t even look back.
She surged forward, closing in on a fourth goblin (N16), her foot snapping toward its side in a sharp unarmed strike. Khazela snarled at the goblin and stood ready, quills raised and breath steady. The hunt wasn’t over.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
With a second dagger to the chest, a loud scream erupts from her as she loses balance on the wall she stands on. The ticking noise slowly begins to tick down to a normal speed ... then slower ... as she falls right off the wall and onto the dirty floor below. She pants, holding the weapon's handle and trying to take it out. With each jerk and tug, the noise of the clock alternates between damaged churning and a normal ticking noise. With confidence, she tries to go for her fist attempt of dislodging the weapon ...

Death Save: 1
This is dire... Should have gone with Spare the Dying instead of Guidance. I sure know what to sub at level up.
I’d say guidance is sooooo much better than spare dying. Any healing spell will negate need for death saves.
I would agree with you for any ordinary campaign, perhaps, that's why I went with it. In perpetual initiative, I'm just not so sure anymore, and in this instance it would have given them a turn to do something, especially given the house rule of stabilizing.
the imp will take the free action (hopefully on his previous turn) and open it up... going fwd i will note that he also opens it up...
Inside the small box is a gem, a yellow diamond. It luster seems a bit dull and some fractures are present but still would seem to fetch a decent price.
(It still counts for the current round, just needed confirmation if the imp or Xodon opens the box.)

Connor glanced down at the Goblin that had tried to attack him and casually points at him with a small smirk. He clicks his tongue slightly and shakes his head. "Your buddy might have gotten the jump on one of our allies but you're time is almost done." He hums softly, keeping a somewhat positive tone even though deep down he is worried about the fallen noble.
Inside the Goblin's head it heard, 'Even a dragon wouldn't find you appetizing. If you were smart you'd turn tail and run~'
{Connor cast dissonant whispers. The target makes a Wisdom saving throw(DC: 12). On a failed save, it takes 14 Psychic damage and must immediately use its Reaction, if available, to move as far away from you as it can, using the safest route. On a successful save, the target takes half as much damage only.}
Quinn's bolt pierces through the goblin's chest and falls down. Xodon's blast misses its mark, scorching the sands near it instead. Xodon's Imp flies down to and find something in the sands. Khazela burrows below, but not before summoning a shield of spines to protect as she slips away. The defensive shield punctures through two of the goblins as they try to attack her, killing them both. Charlotte can feel her heart seize with pain as she lies upon the rampart with her wounds. Connor's words seems to fall on deaf ears until the goblin's nose begins to bleed. And with a final twitch, goblin falls back, bleeding from both his nose and ears upon hearing Connor's insult and threat.
"Ah, seems like our gladiators have started to look for the treasures they need. But the goblins care little and only are seeking blood, let's see how they answer back when on of their own is knocked down!"

Not sure which goblin hits, let me roll since it might make a difference (1 - R22, 2 - P23): 1
Spiny shield damage reduction and damage dealt to one of the two goblins: 4

Spiny shield damage reduction and damage dealt to M21: 7
