-> The monster moves just past the secret passage. When it does so, you can briefly see some of the cracks in its many bones start disappearing (Draconic Abomination heals for 2 assuming it doesn't die to attacks of opportunity).
-> Graxx, Wolf-Cato, and Neya: your passive insight lets you know that there is more to this passage than what you just saw. Neya already had a hunch about it since she uncovered it.
UPDATED MAP (assumes Draconic Abomination survives attacks of opportunity):
(Available attacks of opportunity vs. Draconic Abomination: Graxx, Wolf-Cato, and Neya)
Neya tries to karate chop the Draconic Abomination as it tries to distance itself from the monk, but misses her mark.
Wolf-Cato: As the enemy tries to pull itself away from the wolf, it bites harder, forcing the monster to let some bones loose in order to get away (cumulative damage to Draconic Abomination: 83).
Graxx: (OOC: I'm ignoring that first roll with advantage). Lightbreaker finally responds and with a swift slice, the last remaining core bones fall apart, bringing all others down with them (cumulative damage to Draconic Abomination: 92->DEAD).
Utar: You strike the glyph next to your enemy, destroying it. Some sort of foggy energy is sapped from Tailed-Zombie and it now seems less resilient to you (cumulative damage to Tailed-Zombie: 21).
Graxx: With this battle taken care of and the sounds of another one ringing to the west, the barbarian runs toward further glory. Now that Graxx is in the west chamber, it is better illuminated. Conversely, the south chamber is back to complete darkness (Neya and Asley can't really see anything apart from the distant glow of Lightbreaker. Wolf-Cato can rely on his keen sense of smell).
UPDATED MAP:
(Cato and Drazzim are next. I'll take care of Rag's post soon. Neya and Asley can also post for the next round).
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Cato:You find Graxx with no issue, and run towards danger, landing right in the middle of the action.
Drazzim (autopilot): Seeing the glyph light up at the same time his defeated enemy rose again, Drazzim will not take any chances. He moves around his opponent and makes good use of his reach to strike at the symbol at the wall (A8).
-> Glaive (melee weapon attack with reach) vs. Glyph: Attack: 20 Damage: 10 slashing.
-> The glyph is destroyed and a foggy energy leaves Long-Neck (cumulative damage to Long-Neck: 32->DEAD, CON saving throw: 5). The zombie stays down this time.
Rag: The halfling stabs Dragon-Paw once more (cumulative damage to Dragon-Paw: 33->DEAD). As the zombie falls, Rag sees the faint light from behind the wall at (A3) become brighter, and Dragon-Paw starts to rise again, seemingly ALIVE. Rag takes the brief moment of respite to attack his other assailant (cumulative damage to Winged-Zombie: 5).
25. Neya 19. Asley 18.Long-neck, Dragon-Paw (33), Winged-Zombie (5), Dragon-Maw (14), Tailed-Zombie (21). 18.Draconic Abomination 13. Utar 12. Graxx - Raging 09. Cato - in the form of a Wolf 06. Drazzim 06. Rag
(OOC @SirFleury: Your original target is dead so I'll redirect your spell to Dragon-Maw. Unfortunately it has three-quarters cover from you, but fortunately, you still hit with a 20).
Neya follows Wolf-Cato into the western chamber, now also serving as the group's second source of light.
Asley shoots another Fire Bolt from distance (cumulative damage to Dragon-Maw: 20).
(OOC @alierond: thanks for that) -> inspiration token to you!
Cato (and anyone that just arrived at the western chamber, really) does not necessarily have enough information to automatically conclude that the enemies and the glyphs are connected. All you see are your allies fighting zombies in a room full of wall art, some of which has been defaced. Neya, specifically, has arrived after Utar and Drazzim attacked the glyphs, while Asley is still far away. Graxx may roll a similar check as Cato just did to see if he’d put two and two together (up to you). Utar, Rag, and Drazzim have arrived at this conclusion while fighting, with the halfling the only one of the three not to act on it yet. Try to play to your characters‘s knowledge, if possible.
Asley takes aim at the abomination and launches a Fire Bolt right at its center.
Attack: 24 Damage: 10
Asley: Another Fire Bolt, another hit! This thing is in its last legs (cumulative damage to Draconic Abomination: 75).
(Enemies' turn next)
The zombies will do what they do best:
-> Slam (melee weapon attack) vs. Drazzim: Attack: 6
Damage: 5 bludgeoning. This one hits Drazzim's hand, awkward place, but it stings nonetheless.-> Slam (melee weapon attack) vs. Utar: Attack: 22 Damage: 6 bludgeoning. Hit to the head.
-> Slam (melee weapon attack) vs. Utar: Attack: 10
Damage: 7 bludgeoning. Your armor deflects the blow.-> Slam (melee weapon attack) vs. Rag: Attack: 13
Damage: 3 bludgeoning. you weave out of the way once.-> Slam (melee weapon attack) vs. Rag: Attack: 7
Damage: 2 bludgeoning. And twice. The Draconic Abomination will use its bony tail to try to shove Neya away from it.
-> Contested check: Draconic Abomination Athletics 20 vs. 20 Acrobatics Neya.
-> Neya just manages to stay her ground.
