After their rest, Laucian followed behind everyone as they all went further down the tunnel. He could feel it, the powerful energy of the Bloodstone and thinking that it is so close, almost within reach of his final goal now. But then he heard it in the distance, a thunderous roar that he has never heard before. Is that the Beast that those angels had awaken? Soon he heard as Bathazorin said that whatever made the roar was big, the size of most ancient dragons. So as everyone was moving ahead, Laucian followed suit but was staying in the back of course to be safe.
Ileanys follows the others towards the noise, invisible once again and hanging back enough to have time to react if anything bad happens to the others charging ahead.
Barosh, Gilra, Archy, and your Balor comrade go charging forward toward the sound. Laucian, you move with the group keeping to the back.
(Mankur I’ll have you with the main group unless you tell me otherwise)
Raze you follow more cautiously (but still very quickly because of your movement speed), keeping hidden.
Ileanys you trail a little ways behind, not wanting to be bunched up with the others.
Your group turns a corner and what you see stops you in your tracks. About 60ft away from you, an enormous creature lurks in this room. It is massive; 50ft tall and 70ft long from head to tail.
The beast is in a rage, lasing out in every direction. Its tail lashes out behind it, smashing into rocks like they were made of sand. It walks on its back legs to keep it’s wickedly clawed front feet free. It rams its horned head into the wall and the stone crumbles. Boulders bounce harmlessly off this creature’s hide.
As you charge into view it turns and opens it maw revealing rows of teeth bigger than you. Its bellow makes the room shake, chunks of rock falling from the ceiling. It charges toward your group, splashing through a pool of molten rock, unaffected by the burning substance.
Environment notes: This room is very large and the ceilings are 100ft high. It is brightly lit because of the large pools of molten rock.
I need initiative from everyone. Unlike the angels, this creature is not here to potentially negotiate and you don’t have time to do anything before combat erupts. Anything you want to do will have to happen on your first turn.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Current Characters: Tailine, Tiefling Rogue 2 - Zanoliv
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
( Red, if you're still playing just roll initiative when you can and we'll add Mankur to the turn order. In the meantime I'm going to get us started. )
Bathazorin Initiative: 11
The Beast: 14
(lol what an initiative for the final big bad)
Turn order under the spoiler to keep this organized:
Laucian - 18
Bathazorin - 17
Raze - 16
Archy - 10
Ilyeanys (higher init bonus then Barosh) - 7
Barosh - 7
Gilra (higher init bonus then the Beast) - 4
The Beast - 4
So top of the round is Laucian - this enormous scaled creature is about 60ft away from you and very hostile. What would you like to do?
Most of you as players will probably recognize it- but the creature coming at you looks like this
Laucian followed the group until they all turned the corner, shocked to see what was in the room. The angels were right about it being a beast, it is a true beast in every sense! He watched as it started to charge at them, thinking that this is it. They just have to beat that thing and then the Blood Stone will finally be theirs. He knew that there is no way he can stay anywhere close to this thing since he could easily be killed with just one hit, thinking of what to do. "So you're the Beast. How about you take it nice and slow while we beat you to death?" Laucian said as he cast the Slow spell at the beast, hoping that it is not wise enough to brush off this kind of spell like the angels would. Then he quickly moved 30 feet back away from the monster before looking over at Bathazorin, now extremely glad that he is helping them. "Bathazorin, helping us defeat this thing should be easy for you, right? Destroy it with all your might and don't disappoint us." Laucian had called out to the Balor, giving him Bardic Inspiration to help him be able to hit the beast easier since they need all the hits that they can get on it. But they do need to be careful, knowing that it would be bad news for all of them if the monster kills the Balor and they happen to be nearby when it explodes as well.
Action: Slow
(Wis save; if fail - speed is halved, -2 to AC and Dex saves, can't take reactions, can use only an action or a bonus action not both, can't make more than one melee or ranged attack)
Movement: 30 feet back away from the Tarrasque
Bonus Action: Bardic Inspiration to Bathazorin (1d12 on one ability check, attack roll, or saving throw for 10 minutes)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Wis Save: 29
The huge creature shakes it's head as the spell fails to take effect.
At the end of your turn, the Beast uses a Legendary Action to move half its speed. It is now only 40ft away, closing the distance.
Bathazorinspreads his great bat-like wings and easily closes the distance to the creature with his fly speed. He make two attacks, slashing with his sword and then striking out with the long whip.
Longsword: 16for 20 magical slashing damage and 11 lightning damage
Whip: 27for 12 magical slashing damage - the fire blazing from the whip has no effect
( Nat 1? Oh Bathazorin why. Let's see if we can change that whip strike into a hit with inspiration 12 )
You all watch the mighty demon... completely whiff his Longsword strike. The whip is about to miss as well, but the furious demon uses Laucian's inspiration to turn it into a hit. The whip cracking across the huge creature's face.
At the end of Bathazorin's turn, The Beast uses two legendary actions to make a bite attack.
Bite: 20
It clamps down with its jaws dealing 38 non-magical piercing damage and grappling the demon in its teeth.
That brings us to Raze. The huge monster and the Balor are fighting 40ft away from you.
Raze wastes no time and sprints in to take two quick strikes with his staff and a kick to what he hopes is a weak spot in one of its legs. After a quick barrage the monk dashes back off to flank one side.
Attack1 28, Damage 12
Attack2 30, Damage 18
Bonus MA Unarmed 15, Damage 10
3 charges spent of staff on first attack that hits, 13
1 ki spent for Stunning Strike, DC19 ConST or stunned until end of my next turn
Move, 40' to engage then 35' to one side. No AoO from Mobile feat.
Hah! You have guts, Mr.T. Come, Hornet, let us charge with them! But have caution. I’d love to kill a dragon.
Archy readies to attack the first enemy he sees, and then they both charge ahead.
Raze will follow behind the others, attempting to move quietly. He will hold his position at the first sign of another foe ahead.

(I guess not)
"Mankur you better not ruin this one or you're gonna take it's place!"

(so... do i still get my readied action? I readied to attack the thing.)
Since you specifically readied an action to attack- yes. The creature is 60ft away so it will have to be ranged.
Current Characters: Tailine, Tiefling Rogue 2 - Zanoliv
(Well crap. I’ve got no ranged weaponry)
(Spit at it)
Initiative : 4
Does it look like a living thing or rather a construct of some kind?
This definitely looks like a living thing.
