A farmer points to a tower on the keep's walls. After a short walk up the stairs, you enter the tower and find an office; bookshelves line the walls, a telescope stands by the open window, peering at the Dreadwood; and a giant table is in the middle, on top a map of the Dreadwood, various figures litter about it, some monsters, some people. A few people stand by the table, knights or elven rangers, both stay quiet as one half elf clad in plate armor at the head of the table speaks, pointing out areas on the map.
Although scarred and hair short, you can tell by her voice that she is a woman. She directs those at the table, telling them to patrol here or investigate there. And when she takes notice of you, she raises her hand. The others there give you a glance but then talk with their respective groups. She looks to you, "Hello, I'm the castellan for Burle, Kiara Shadowbreaker. Are you here to collect a bounty?"
(I will contact Davar and check on his availability. For now he'll be botted by me.)
Davar leads the way into the den, greatsword in his hands. But the group meets nothing, as the entrance leads into an cave of sorts. The light from outside dimly illuminates the cave, but those with darkvision see more. As there lies a pile of bones in one corner, a collection of rusted weapons sit near the entryway, a hill made of bags in another, while a bunch of apples rest upon the skin of a bear. Up ahead, you can hear some cackling, familiar to the goblins you've defeated before.
(Will add rooms if you all decide to head in a certain direction. Will describe what can be seen from current room.)
@ War Boys
Up ahead, the cave is lit up and you can see shadows dancing about in the light. It seems to lead to a larger portion of the den as further in it opens up.
@ War Boys with Darkvision
Down the left passage, you can see something lies in the center of that room. It's massive and takes up much of your view of the room. You can tell its a living thing by how it moves steadily, it's outline rising and falling.
Down the right passage, you see a long corridor, too long to see the end of it. But you do see some movement at the end of your vision, human like figures moving about.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Looking at the group Black Cat raises his feathered arm and covers his eyes and then will attempt to fade away into the darkness, shortbow at the ready.
(Sorry but in this game, you'll need to surround the enemy [at least 3 near one enemy] for the advantage. And yes, my previous post for the Shadow Hunters was a mistake, I meant to say Sanzor. And for tactics, I encourage using a PM group for keeping it clear of combat posts from other groups. And to explain why calledThird cannot see Plunge or Sanzor, it is because I make separate campaigns to accommodate all the players since campaigns have a max of 10[may be wrong as I just saw a campaign with 11])
(Irib will take one more round to get to the group.)
Although both were bitten, Biri stands her ground as Sanzor was pulled down. They both let loose their spells at point blank, both of them hitting the beasts. But they still stand, a deep growl sounding out as Kosh and Yuno move to strike at the beasts' back. Kosh's axe buries deep into his mark, but the beast still lives as it thrashes about, forcing the axe out. Yuno finds that the beast's fur is too thick for her manic attack, both her blades somewhat bouncing off the beast.

"Bernard Churchmire." He doesn't extend his hand, as he wants to keep the interaction as brief as possible so as not to waste the castellan's time. "We're here about the notice on the escaped convict. Do you have any more information that could prove useful for us? Perhaps crime victims, last known whereabouts, number of men?"

"That criminal is an escapee from a foreign land, so his last victims are still there. His last sighting was when he escaped the convoy transporting the prisoners and inside the forest. And we have no idea how many are with him, scum tend to attract scum, then either have them join or kill them." Kiara points to the map, "The reports say that bandits and cutthroats have been active near the southern point of the forest and the north west point. The southern has reports of holding up merchants and ransacking their cargo. The north west has reports of kidnapping and raiding."
Bernard turns to Quodithas, "I think we've got what we need. Perhaps we can accompany some merchant caravans as guards, or perhaps use mercantile as a guise to bait the bandits into attacking us?"
He thanks Kiara, and leaves her to her work.

Maelyn is frightened, runs off from the group and is probably eaten by some horrible monster. (Sorry, I'm quitting the game, I'm finding it too hard to keep up and don't want to hold the group back. Have fun everyone!)
Inside the bags, you find assorted iron rings. The sort of rings one would put onto their cattle. And there's quite a lot of them, some with dry blood on them and some that are brand new. In a few bags, you find tags of sorts, a small wooden plank with no inscriptions.
As Latirus sneaks into the left room, he sees the large shadow gain form. As it is a ogre, sleeping on its back. The room also comes into view as it seems to be a kitchen of sorts. A dying fire warms a roasting pig near the wall of the room. A corner holds what smells to be wine in a corner as there are various foodstuffs in the opposite corner. And in the far back of the room, you can see a chest.
