((haha! Should look into buying some honey as well.))
Alton, you're not as quiet this time, maybe because your nerves are firing, but nevertheless you're still pretty cat-like as you sneak around the other two ruined structures. These ruined, side-by-side cottages look as though they might have been the homes of prosperous shopkeepers or well-off farmers in their time. All that remains now are collapsed walls and piles of debris. Several young trees and plants have grown up in the midst of the ruins as well.
You creep into the first building, and see an old chest among the roots of the tree growing up through the house.
You also hear something moving and some noises coming from the building beside you to the east. You can't make out what the noises are. You best guess is some type of panting or deep breathing and rustling about.
If you proceed further east towards the building, please make a stealth check.
If you try and fuss with the chest, please make a stealth check.
Basically you will need a stealth check for anything you do except if you decide to run back to the party right now, which will require no roll. You only have this moment to decide though.
Got-bear, we need that perception check now that you are up that tree, and at this point, Ralf and Mori can you also make one each as well. Things have been happening since those scarecrows have been burning and are now almost finished burning.
Map is updated!
Oops - Alton, if you do run back to the party, you can also make a fresh perception check.
Alton will return to the group first before doing anything. He relays what he has seen and heard before asking what they want to do. “Some sort of chest, buried in the roots of a tree. But also, there’s panting. A creature is breathing heavily from the house farthest east. What’s the plan?” Alton asks as he pads over to Ralf and Gotur.
Alton, you make it back to the party with no issues, relay the info, and don't see anything that you hadn't before you left.
Got-bear, with that vantage point (and looking back on it I think you should've had advantage since you're up the tree, but you've rolled high enough without it) you notice a small little creature that has opened a door at that building to the east. It is mumbling something about dogs and that it smells something burning. I have added this creature to the bestiary tab as well as to the game map.
Got-bear, the tree is quite high. How far did you climb up?
((Enough to get a view over some of the near buildings, but when he sees the creature, he shimmies down and pokes his snoot in that direction and gives a low whuffle.))

((I am going to hold here until we hear from Ralf, and will make any retro moves as needed, but as Got-bear heads back down the tree, in that same time window, that creature that came out the door would be walking to the end of the building. 10 and it will not see any of you yet when it reaches that spot. I have updated the map to reflect the spot it is in at the same time as the bear gets to the bottom of the tree.))
Right good point, ok let's get the perception for Ralf/Mori with advantage, yes. The results will be retro to when before Got-bear shimmied back down the tree.
Basically just setting up the situation exactly as it is unfolding.
Ok, so in this moment, Ralf and Mori did notice the little creature over by the building. Alton didn't, but Ralf would've told him.
Got-bear is down the tree and also sees the creature.
It now moves forward a bit more, and starts to whistle loudly and calls out, in common "Here boys! Come on boys! Get out of the sun!" as you now also see 3 dog-like beasts emerge from the southeast where Alton was just moments earlier.
Since you all see the creature plus the dogs, you all have a split moment to make an action (depending on what it is, of course) until the dogs and the creature see you (it will be obvious to them in moments) which will likely start combat, as they don't like intruders here.
Map is updated!
Pics of the dogs and that little dude are on the bestiary tab.
Alton will attempt to slide behind a nearby tree in an attempt to hide and therefore surprise the soon to be attacker, then pulling out a dagger. (If that wouldn’t work, let me know)
Alton, with that roll you are definitely able to sneak up to that tree with Got-bear and hide without the little creep noticing. Initiative also noted, thanks!
If combat starts, that creature may or may not be surprised overall depending on what the others do in this 'free' moment, but at the least you will be an unseen attacker.
I have updated the map and will await what Got-bear and Ralf/Mori do with their free moment.
((Don't think there's anything Got-bear can really do in a free moment, he's just kind of waiting for things to pop off... other than like... charging the little creep.))

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
((Gotcha. I think in this case then, given Alton is hidden, and Got-bear is now down the tree planning to full on bear charge, once the little creature and its dogs move ahead a bit more and see Got-bear and Ralf/Mori, they will in fact be surprised here. They didn't see any of you until this moment (Alton is still hidden/unseen), and in this case they would be surprised and won't be able to take any actions during round 1.
"Come on boys! Heeeere boys! Heere.... HUH!? WHO THE BLAZES??"
Can we can please get an initiative roll from Got-bear.
I will roll for Ralf / Mori:8 / 12
Creepy dude: 13
His creepy dogs: 5
Alton is unseen and has advantage for his rolls during rd. 1.
((hahahaha, when I picture this in my mind, I find it quite funny, and I don't know why!))
Got-bear, please roll a perception check.
I know why I think it's funny!
'Winnie The Pooh, Winnie The Pooh
Chubby little cubby all stuffed with fluff
He's Winnie The Pooh, Winnie The Pooh
Willy, nilly, silly old bear'
Please tell me someone else sang that.
((He has the option to merge any of his equipment into his form, so he *could* leave a shirt on when he goes bear...))
