Dorkas shields himself just in time to avoid the barrage of arcane force, before darting into the hedges to the north. From his new position, he tries to take down a still recovering Baral with rays of scorching fire. But aside from burning neat little holes in the hedge, not a one quite hit their mark.
Koplony breathing begins to grow steadier..

Eldin also ran into the hedge and emerged on the opposite side of Dorcas somehow (BA Dash to 10K). With his rapier he struck his opponent, using Baral's familiar to his advantage.
Baral takes to the sky atop his broom and ignites much of the area about Dorkas a sudden explosion of flame. Fortunately, the hedges are damp enough from the ongoing drizzle to not remain enflamed for long. Though another burst of flame might change matters. Regardless, Hawky is again given its air raiding orders, and so zips over the edges to harass Dorkas until Eldin arrives on the scene. In the meantime, Baral lands beside the fighter.
Eldin pushes through some hedges as well, taking a somewhat scenic route to eventually arrive to the north of Dorkas, stabbing him with a rapier. OR mayhaps it was but an mirror image whose fate it was to perish...
As all that is going on, the fog continues to enclose more and more of the battleground...

After a valiant effort, it is by flames and blade that the final member of Team 1 falls to the smoldering ground. With that, a horn blares and signal firebolts of various coloration flies up into the sky, signaling an end to the match. Constructs and medical staff enter the arena both to further ensure the stability of conditions and escorts the defeated to the trauma ward with a backdrop of cheers and applause for having fought valiant despite it all. For their participation and experience garnered in the coliseum, Dorkas and Koplony receive 8000 xp and 2720 gp.
The victor is taken below to be patched up and receive their prize on the receding sounds of a crowd's cheers and well wishes. Baral and Eldin earns 16000 xp and 6800 gp, and are ready to proceed to the next round as well.
Tier 3:
"Take any one item. We're well equipped." The room contains every item from Chapter 5 of the Player's Handbook weighing 70 pounds or less, armor of varying sizes, instruments, tool kits. There are also spell scrolls, every first level spell is present (as well as spell scrolls of a level for which a magic user of the characters new level would have slots for), and an encyclopedia of knowledge. Reading these books will grant you proficiency with any one tool kit or any one language, depending which book you choose. The books are magically infused to allow easy retention, but the magic is lost once used.
Upper Tier:
The victor may choose instead, an item from a magically infused chest that summons 10 randomly selected magic items to choose from (rarity determined by level). Alternatively they may exchange a magic item for another item of their choosing of the same rarity or lower, if the administrator has the requested item in his extensive collection. "You name it, we've probably got one somewhere."
Eldin does a face palm as he sees another Amulet of Health in his prize pool. He just traded his Cloak of Displacement for one not too long ago and he's quite sure the effects don't stack. He takes a Dagger of Venom and leaves.
The next match will feature any interested level-3 competitors. The match will begin Nov. 23rd. Or sooner, if all level contestants gather before then. (As a note, there will be a period from the 25th to the 29th in which turn usual rollover will be temporarily suspended.)
As the sun begins to slip over the horizon for Sel'eman, Arena Shapers and Constructs once more see to the restructuring of 'the Pit' into a nexus of walkways and dead falls for the fight to come... As well as making sure the constructs for the event wouldn't rampage beyond anticipated.
To win: 5... King of the hill - A flag (¥) in the center of the arena will be available to capture in the third round. Hold the area within 10 feet while keeping your opponents at bay to win the match. (Re-rolled due to Map Limitations)
The conditions: 1... Dusk - The setting sun casts long rays of shadow across the arena. Checks relying on sight will suffer disadvantage without the use of Darkvision.
The Map: 11.... The Nexus - A precarious ring with walls for cover around the center and a 15 foot drop into pits on every side, threatening anyone who comes too near. Ladders near the entrances to the battlefield can be used to escape if any characters do fall in.
(A space with pits or walls on three sides is in the pit.)
To enter please roll initiative, choose a starting position in Row 1(Include an alternative for Row 16).
You will have 1 round to prepare before the match outside of any buffs that would last an hour or more. Everyone starts with a normal healing potion. Please make sure to reset sheet by hitting the Long Rest button, and roll recharge for any magic item where applicable.

Whistler steeped into position outside the arena, a calm but serious look on his face. He quickly checked the numerous blades on his person, then shifted to adjust the shortsword and buckler strapped onto his back--he had not intention of using either until he needed to. For a moment he focused, reaching for his power; he relaxed as he felt the psychic connection, then looked around, ready to rush onto the field with his teammates.

Zagathos steps towards the edge of the dappled battlefield, one hand wrapped around his black-ironed axe. He raises his weapon to the sky and unleashes another cry to rally the resolve of his teammates, confident he would emerge from this battle victorious.
Starting position: I15 if there are two or more allies stationed at either ends of the starting line so that bless's 30' range can target the maximum amount of allies; if there is only one ally or both allies are clustered around one entry, Zagathos will choose the nearest unoccupied area near D1 or D16. Preparation round: bless on himself and up to two other allies in range. Initiative: 12
Eldin:
He draws his wand of Magic Missile and fires off 4 darts (level 2) one at Kop to put the blue wizard down again and the remaining 3 at Dorcas.
Magic Missile damage per dart: 2
Baral endures some excruciating pain before succumbing to the end of his own spellweaving, and the extreme lethargy to follow.
Eldin takes the temporary loss in stride with an excellent one liner, followed by a bit of magic that puts Koplony right back down on the ground.
In time with the fall of the wizard once more, the Fog continues its creeping from both sides closer to the center of the arena.
