Varlan watches as the two seem to become immobile, then turns to Kalvin. "Theatrics aside, it seems that if you wanted us dead we would already be dead. It also seems to me that you want our ships, and...perhaps...our cooperation."
"So, why don't you put aside these poisons and free our friend?" He nods to Mist, "He is what passes for a leader amongst us, and parley will be hard without him."

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Vlar moves to the table and looks down at the food laid out upon it. He then glances up at those shipmates in this chamber with him. "Do you think the food has been poisoned?" He asks.
Jecob: "Vlar, check the table and food for magic. If it is mundane, then you won't have to worry about poison." He casts Purify Food and Drink to cover the table.

Vlar gives a slightly bemused smile as the protective spell is cast over the table. "Exactly what I was hoping you would do." He says with a nod. Picking up a piece of the food he takes a bite, then moves around checking under the rest of the dishes to verify that none hold other hidden items under them.
(Assuming that there was no magic on the food before the purification spell was cast, otherwise Vlar would not eat from any of the dishes. Also assuming that none of the plates, or other items on the table, are magical in nature He would not lift up anything magical until he took time to identify what magic was on it..)
Kraven will focus on the piano and if it is still playing, and if it is he will study the pattern and then call Mist over, "There is something about this piano that the idiot over there," pointing to the dead pirate, "Failed to discover, shall I give it a go?"
Kuatho takes out some rope, loops it around the legs in the direction on the floor that it may have slid, and then moves to that side and prepares to pull on the rope, hoping to slide the piano over. He looks up and says “Little help?” He waits until the music stops before he attempts to move it, but also gets approval of everyone with the plan.

As the others work on setting up the ropes Varlan examines the piano, trying to make sense of the music...wondering if perhaps a note is being missed, or if there is some other pattern to it that might be the 'key' to the problem. "Never had much time for bards, but one might be helpful now."

Mist lets out a heavy breath and rolls his head around once, stretching his neck.
"That... Didn't go as planned."
Seeing the others inspecting the food, Mist moves back to the table and picks up a full plate. He sniffs it and sneers, "Needs garlic..."
Glancing about the room he muses, "Keys are for doors. If nutrition's the key, there's gotta be a door somewhere..."
He throws the dish full of food at the nearest wall of flesh.

"Eureka!" Mist shouts. "Knew I'd figure it out eventually. None smarter than our Mis'tuv, yeh?" He points to his head and winks.
"Hidden doors... There's always hidden doors. How 'bout under the table?!" He leans all of his now ~75lbs against the large table.
I'm assuming it doesn't budge but we'll see before checking the next thing...

Kraven would go about the room checking the walls floor and ceiling for any kind of lock the key might fit in.
Perception: 16
You find no lock holes, however you do notice that the floors to one side of the organ looks like the organ has been sleed over back and forth.
Kraven you remember that while the Blackrift sailor was playing that the organ glowed a bit before he pressed all the keys and flew back.

With the int check you know that the organ must be followed. I need a performance check from someone who is proficient in any musical instrument.
