They'll likely print a bunch of new monsters in the 2024 Monster Manual that have movement options built into their Multiattacks (see the Panther and Lion in the 2024 PHB appendix B for example) and leave a note saying that if you (the DM) choose to use monsters from the 2014 rules, you can let them move as part of their Multiattack if you want.
Nicely spotted. That makes it very clear that this was a deliberate change and that they have accounted for it in the monsters statblock.
You probably mean the Tiger instead of the Lion -- but even so, in the case of the Panther and the Tiger the multiattack action doesn't really include more than one attack that you could potentially move between -- so, it's not really apples to apples. My guess is that there's a decent possibility of something changing in the general text within the Monster Manual that addresses this.

It's not apples to apples, but one of the two actions in their "multiattack" isn't even an attack. Clearly they can just put whatever in there.

If it is to be addressed in the new MM I really hope it isn't in the general text, making it a clause of the Multiattack Action would be much better so that it matches the writing in the PHB.
Back to the original question, if you can't break up the Bonus Action with Movement, what does this actually effect? I might be blanking on things but what Bonus Action let's you attack more than once anyway?

There are a limited number of instances in which a PC can attack more than once during a Bonus Action. The rules say you cannot move between these attacks. However I think most GMs will allow you to move between them just like being able to move between Attack Action rolls.

Flurry of Blows is one example:
Flurry of Blows. You can expend 1 Focus Point to make two Unarmed Strikes as a Bonus Action.
Action is not capitalized and therefore not in reference to the rule Action.
Not sure where you look but in Moving between Attacks the only time action is mentioned, it's specifically Attack action and when such reference is made, it apply to no other action than this one. It's also a feature found under the Attack action itself.
Moving between Attacks. If you move on your turn and have a feature, such as Extra Attack, that gives you more than one attack as part of the Attack action, you can use some or all of that movement to move between those attacks.
When you take the Attack action, you can make one attack roll with a weapon or an Unarmed Strike.
Equipping and Unequipping Weapons. You can either equip or unequip one weapon when you make an attack as part of this action. You do so either before or after the attack. If you equip a weapon before an attack, you don’t need to use it for that attack. Equipping a weapon includes drawing it from a sheath or picking it up. Unequipping a weapon includes sheathing, stowing, or dropping it.
Moving between Attacks. If you move on your turn and have a feature, such as Extra Attack, that gives you more than one attack as part of the Attack action, you can use some or all of that movement to move between those attacks.
The difference between Multiattack and the Attack action was debated in the thread, as well as whether the 2024 Multiattack allows movement between attacks.
Reading the 2024 MM, we have this (emphasis mine):
Multiattack Some creatures can make more than one attack when they take the Attack action. Such creatures have the Multiattack entry in the “Actions” section of their stat block. This entry details the attacks a creature can make, as well as any additional abilities it can use, as part of the Attack action.
Would you say this means a monster can move while using Multiattack? Would you consider this a clear indication that Multiattack is now an Attack action?

Yes. It looks like Multiattack is now just a limited version of the Extra Attack Class Feature. The questions that have come up for Extra attack, Light Weapons, War Magic, and the like are theoretically potential issues with the Multiattack feature as well, but less likely to come up as each stat block will probably be tailor written for each monster's abilities (source: I haven't read the 2025 Monster Manual previews and I am an optimist).

The problem is that multiattack shouldn't be an action, it should be a modification to the attack action, but they don't want to write monsters that way. I would say that
(action) Multiattack. The bear makes one Bite attack and one Claw attack.
actually intends to be
(trait) Multiattack. When the bear takes the attack action on its turn, it may make one Bite attack and one Claw attack.
and they didn't write it that way because they thought it was clunky, but the end result is contradictory, where they want multiattack to both be its own action and be the attack action, and it can't -- it's one or the other.
I think you can move in most cases. As you can move "before and after" all kind of actions, and between attacks of multi-attack when using the Attack action. The only exception is for multi-attack from Bonus Action (as FoB), which seems you cannot move between attacks. I see reasonable, as FoB is like 2 quick blows in a row, that's why you get 2 attacks in the Bonus Action. But in the other hand, if a character uses FoB and after the first attack the foe gets down, not requiring the 2nd attack, then the Focus point is not expended, as the condition to expend the point is making 2 attacks: You can expend 1 Focus Point to make two Unarmed Strikes as a Bonus Action.

Yes it now let monsters using Multiattack do anything a creatures can do when taking theAttackaction, so moving, equip or unequip weapons etc..

Yeah, Prowl is a disengage and stealth option for ambush predators, not a feature to enable movement between attacks.
Yes, thank you.
