I'll have a look at that over the weekend NeoPhantom.
We've just had a talk about where we are with adding the Artificer Update and a decision has been made to enable the changes to the base class for you all right now, as this is a holiday weekend!
That is:
Additional spells on the spell list.
New infusions: Enhanced Wand, Repeating Shot, Repulsion Shield.
New magic items for those infusions: Artificer Wand, +1, Artificer Wand, +2, Repulsion Shield - we're still working on the repeating shot weapons.
We'll continue to work on the two new subclasses, to get them ready as soon as we can.
Hey! Just wanted to make sure you all were aware that after the update spell slot rounding for multiclass hasn't changed - it still rounds down. At least it is in my case!

Yeah, that's one of several things the dev team are looking at.
As Badeye said on the most recent Dev Update stream, there's definitely some mechanical challenges for us to overcome here. We're confident we can do it, but these things take some time.
Guessing the whole having creatures gain features with your level is also a problem, right?
Hit points are one thing, but if the alchemical homunculus is to be viewed it can be seen that damage calculation was left for the player. Not quite as simple with the Iron Defender who outright gains features rather than simply increase its damage dies.

Yeah, those will either be always there with a "only available after level X" clause, or not on monster sheet and have to be remembered in features.
Thank you for the update Stormknight, I am quite excited for the Archivist subclass. It is almost mandatory I'm taking it since I'm running a Mark of Scribing Gnome Artificer that uses his writing tools for all of his spells. Couldn't have asked for a more perfect subclass to come into being just before I hit level 3.
For the 3rd level Battle Smith Artificer while the great people at DnD Beyond are getting things ready for us, here is what you can do. On the Character sheet you can "add proficencies" and add the smith's tools and leatherworker's tools. Then make a custom item based on whatever weapon you are updating and add "bonus" and "magic item attack with Intelligence." It's easy enough to later at 6th level add the Arcane Jolt bonus too. Then I'm keeping my Iron Defender on a separate sheet anyway to track his hitpoints.
so it turned out that some of the features in the new subclasses were kinda complicated!
For an update on when the new Artificer subclasses will be available on D&D Beyond, I recommend watching today's Dev Update stream at 9am PT on the D&D Beyond twitch channel: https://www.twitch.tv/dndbeyond
On the "about a week" thing - as a general rule, we aim to have new Unearthed Arcana content available a week after it is published. As you've seen, that just isn't always possible.

Boy, that's not ominous.
Appreciate the hard work, and I hope it's good news.

They probably haven't gotten to that yet.

The new subclasses should be coming soon, correct?
My money is on late next week (Thursday or Friday).
As a note, we've updated the core Artificer class:
We're making good progress with modelling the Archivist and Battle Smith subclasses, so I'm hopeful they'll be good to go soon!

Repulsion Shield does not currently give the +1 AC it's supposed to.
It requires attunement. Is your character attuned to the shield?

Yep, that did it.
Feel silly now.
How is it all going with the update? Looking forward to the new subclasses as Battlesmith looks great !
Sometimes the simplest answer is the best answer.
So about the DDB definitions of "about a week" and "soon"...
"About a week" = "less than 10 weeks"
"Soon" = "less than 6 months"
