I like once a month just because I have nothing else to do 🙁. But I get the play test thing. Maybe they could give us a teaser or lore drop for the next UA in an off month. Or they could just do one a month but put the surveys out 2 months later instead of one.
Also, I think/hope it’ll come out tomorrow.

I am starting to think that with all the flak WotC and DnD is getting at the moment via social media, that we won't see another UA for a little while longer.

Orion Black quit and is claiming that it was due to a hostile work environment. Racist stereotypes in current content. Oriental Adventures still being available on the DMsguild. The DMsguild in general. All the usual things really.
Edit: I must admit that I don't actually know who Orion Black is or very many of the others that work for WotC for that matter.
Yeah, at this point I suspect that WotC is in full-on damage control mode and that they will be pushing racial variants as their next top priority. I doubt we’ll see anything else new from them until that’s been addressed.
I agree they're going to lean into improving optics pretty hard. However, I think we're really due for some revisions. Take the Archfey, for example -- great flavor but everyone gets more mechanical benefits. Even fey presence is once per long rest. Other patrons get cantrips, or powerful features like dark one's blessing or among the dead at level one. Even grasp of the deep can be used a number of times equal to your charisma mod. Misty escape is rad but it's easy for early levels to feel like the warlock got a bum deal in this otherwordly pact. The lore of the feywild is so rich there's a lot of material to mine.

That is interesting, Most cite the great old one as the weakest patron Most in need of an revision, but i can see why you feel a single round duration charm is kinda limited, that being Said it is kinda thematically apropriate for you as an archfey warlock to get an bad deal considering the nature of your ally

i am soup, with too many ideas (all of them very spicy) who has made sufficient homebrew material and character to last an thousand human lifetimes
In terms of pure mechanical usefulness I do think GOO is a bit worse than Fey, if only because its cerebral leanings may or may not be of importance in say, a campaign set in a volcanic deathland where every monster is some draconic demon thing and they rarely do psi damage... and since they wouldn't be humanoids your class capstone is also basically worthless as well. The abilities aren't bad, its just that they're too situational to be great, imo.
Also, I thought we were all in agreement that if any Warlock class is getting a rework first, its Undying. Fey and GOO might be underpowered, but with Undying its like you didn't even choose a patron.
The weapon feats are VERY welcome for warrior characters...helps the bruiser feel more powerful, helps the duelist seem more precise, helps the whirling dervish inflict death by a thousand cuts...the image of these benefits are quite appealing.
And hey; practical cooking & poisoning methods...bonus points for using both. : ]
The "Fey-Touched" & "Shadow Touched" feats ooze flavor...nice bit of customization for a character, too. As a lover of "Misty Step" & "Inflict Wounds", having those available with a stat boost to avoid multiclassing is quite welcome.
"Tracker" seems like it will be making the ranger angrily bash its bow on the ground in the corner somewhere...if the "Scout" Rogue takes this feat, then they very nearly become a better ranger.
But damn...getting a Fighting style? And being able to change it later, and more than once?
Gaining "Shield" proficiency, and being able to use it as a spellcasting focus?
...exciting stuff.

They still gave the survey after the first month. But 2 months is probably good time for testing

I wish it came out every month, but the surveys were 2 months after release.

What kind of flak?

It's ok Ranger, you'll always be cool to me.. Unless druid gets another use for its wild shape charges.
(The undying is definitely the worst Warlock Patron, and most in need of revision.)
I hope they do Subclass Feature variants, but they basically said that's never going to happen.

I like it. I hope these make it in. Also, the planar features confirm my Planescape/Xanathar's 2.0 suspicions.

This is literally exactly what i wanted. I am happy now
Also the Artificer Initiate feat makes me think that we are more than likely going to see an Artificer reprint
I guess Wizards agrees that Metamagic should have been replaceable on level up from the start.
The Planar feats are pretty sweet as well. Now that we have a template for them, it shouldn't be too hard to do the rest of the planes.

That's 4 major Elemental Planes, the Astral, the Ethereal, and 17 Outer Planes. You sure you're up for that?
I'm certainly not. But I've got a lot of time, and it's something to do.
