Yeah, it would be nice for definitive rules on how to turn into a lich, vampire, or demilch. (True Polymorph can turn you into a Demilich, but without DM approval, you can't turn into a lich from there).
The bet is, that I think the next UA will not be the Psionic Subclasses revamped, or if the Fighter, Rogue, and Wizard subclasses aren't the next UA, I lose.
Sposta believes that the UA at the end of 2019 are the final 3 subclasses we are waiting for, and doesn't think the UA will contain Fighter, Rogue, and Wizard subclasses at all.
so if literally anything but psionics 2: electric boogaloo happens, you win? that seems like kind of an easy bet actiually, while it would be nice i really dont think it will happen due to the backlash for wizards
No, it has to be subclasses for Fighter, Rogue, and Wizard for me to win.
No, it has to be “Unearthed Arcana 2020 Subclasses, Part 4” for the Fighter, Rogue, and Wizard for you to win.
Okay, yes, thanks for the correction.

Please check out my homebrew, I would appreciate feedback:
I don't know if this necessarily means we won't get fighter/wizard/rogue classes soon, but to be honest I would prefer more stuff like this over a bunch of classes at this point (for the most part)

It's ok Ranger, you'll always be cool to me.. Unless druid gets another use for its wild shape charges.
I like the new summoning spells and I would love to see more spells based around a common theme like these are. Maybe some based on the elements of Fire, Earth, Wood, Metal and Water.
i like it but am also concerned that this is going to be an end to proper conjuration spells that summon proper monster stat blocks, or that this will be the "fix" to the beast master by letting you sometimes summon an animmal companion
that bard gets summon fey spirit is cool, beforehand if ythey wanted to deal with the fey to whom their class is so strongly linked to they would have to resort to magical secrets, makes the summoner bard build less terrible and that is good
we can finally summon yugoloths, i whould have liked it if we also got an spell like "hire yugoloth" formatted sort of like the planar ally spell were you have to pay money but available to warlocks and wizards as well but it is cool, the yugoloth spirit can do a LOT of teleporting in a single turn, so that can lead to an very speedy ally
summon undead spirit benefits from the necro wizard's undead thralls abillity, but the fey and best spirits dont seem to benefit from the sheppherd druid ability as much, that needs to be resolved.
since all of these last until the spell ends, planar binding can be used to extend that limit if need be, and that is great becuase it is an incoporeal spirit who will not seek revenge if you force it to do its bidding
also anyone in the urge to play an pokemon style campaign where diffrent spellcasters summon creatures to fight on their behalf like 1v1 creature combat tournament arcs wellcome?

i am soup, with too many ideas (all of them very spicy) who has made sufficient homebrew material and character to last an thousand human lifetimes
Not going to have a monk, they already did the Way of Mercy Monk.
There will be a Fighter, Rogue, and Wizard, which we discovered through the process of elimination.
They also fairly recently did the Psionics UA, where they had the Psychic Warrior Fighter, Soulknife Rogue, and Psionic Wizard, and a few people think that they'll redo these, but I disagree. It's been too soon, and I don't think they'll redo it.
A lot of the recent UA have been "planar" themed. If the Xanathar's 2.0 book is Planescape, or planar themed in any way, I'd say the following options are possible:
Fighter, an Elemental Warrior, or Radiant Knight (like a paladin, but no spells).
Rogue, Infernal Stalker, or Bounty Hunter.
Wizard, Limbo Mage (mix of Transmutation and Conjuration schools mix) or Manipulation Mage (Enchanting and Illusion schools mix).
What do you guys think of my ideas?
I hated the Way of Mercy Monk, but I guess it still counts lol
I like the idea of an Elemental fighter of some kind. Maybe they can add damage to their attacks and gain resistances based on which elemental plane they are attuned to? Maybe they can change these out during a rest?
A planes hopping Bounty Hunter sounds cool, but I can't think of what abilities they would have that would fit the theme. It may be easier to come up with abilities for the Infernal Stalker.
Wizards already have soooo much and are so versatile that I can't think of much that would be "new" :/ I would say a proper summoner/conjurer would fit the Planar theme, but like I said, that is pretty much covered.
Elemental Fighter would speak Primordial, be able to each day attach itself to one of the elemental planes, getting resistance to one type of damage and an additional 1d4 damage of the plane he is bound to for the day. Later get the ability to be immune to those damage types, deal more damage, possibly summon elementals?
I don't think Bounty Hunter Rogue will likely come, but it would be cool. Kind of themed like the Horizon Walker Ranger, but people will complain about it being too similar. Infernal Stalker would probably have fire and poison resistance, do fire damage, make contracts, and stuff like that.
Wizards do have a ton of subclasses, more than any other class including all the Wildemount subclasses, but they still should get more, and will. We have 12 Wizard Subclasses, and 2 recent UA subclasses (Onoumancer, and Psionic Wizard). I want a better summoner wizard (Conjurer fills the role, but doesn't do a great job at it, Necromancer is better for summoning allies). A hypnotist wizard would be cool as well.
i mean now that the spells and magic tatoos article is out, if all these spells letting me summon extraplanar entities aint a sign that planescape or something planar themed is about to happen, i dont know what is, i mean

Agreed
I have already stated that I would like more spells, but I think it would also be nice to have more Feats as well. Need some options out there to compete with Great Weapon Master, Pole Arm Master and Sharp Shooter.

Why would they use the five Chinese elements instead of the four classical elements they've built much of the Forgotten Realms cosmology around?
For the Wu-Jen of Kara-Tur of course.
Also, it would be nice to expand D&D to encompass more lore of other cultures. We have Samurai and Monks, but why stop there?
Though I will also admit that expanding on the four elements already presented would not go amiss.
All three of those are really needed in for 5e in my opinion. Even if you are not playing in Forgotten Realms, some thematic equipment, subclasses, spells and monsters would be awesome.
I do worry that these spells are too good, I like them, but if they're going to try to fix classes and other spells with them, that's a big no no.
This does just add to the planescape suspicion I've been having for a few months. Especially with some of the tattoos being elemental or shadowfell flavored.

Yep, the same reason why the Ranger's never going to get a proper fix. Wizards doesn't want to invalidate the source books.
