Hello all, So I’m making some custom weapons for my current character that I was given by my DM and I’ve hit a sort of snag in my DND Beyond weapon display. Is there a way to show when you have added a secondary weapon damage. Like if your base damage is 1d8+4 bludgeoning damage and if certain requirements are met you do an additional 1d8 slashing damage. It’s not showing up on my weapon after I’ve edited it for some reason.
https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/593632-flail-of-the-worm-king-1 So I wanted the secondary damage to show up in the item description page on my character sheet. Similar to the mace of disruption's secondary damage against undead. If there is a different way to link to my item, let me know
I'm having a similar issue. I'm trying to customise a +2 Glaive to have an additional 1d6 fire damage modifier, and seem to have done this and added to my character sheet successfully on DnD beyond, though the +1d6 fire is listed in notes in attacks, but in damage when you click on the weapon. The main issue is that when I use the weapon to attack using the Avrae plugin on discord it isn't the doing the additional 1d6 fire damage, which I can only assume means I've done something incorrectly. Any help would be appreciated.
Aside from changing the stats in the character sheet I dont know of a good way. Just making a custom item like that is troublesome and I think there is something in the code that keepa it at the base attack.
hey, im just wondering, how di i create weopnns? cause when i looked, there is no such item called a throwing knife, which is really bothering me.
any help would be greatly apreaciated
Dagger.
It has the thrown (20/60) property.
So, we already have throwing knives.

Um, I was wondering how I could make a custom weapon too. Regardless of if we have the item already you two didn't actually answer the question..
I just want to be able to select damage dice for a weapon profile so can use that profile to make a magic variant. However it doesn't look like I even *can* make a non-magic item, weapon or not :/

It is not currently possible to make homebrewed Equipment.
It is not currently possible to change a weapon’s base damage/range.
Pick a weapon that already does the correct damage and explain everything in the text. If necessary you can add the following Modifier:
Trying to create basically a boxing glove for our monk that does fire damage (and one ice as well) and it needs to match his d8 with dex modifier, how would one go about creating a basically brand new weapon?

You could make a homebrew weapon and just add a modifier for the additional damage.
If you're having trouble, link your homebrew item here (you don't need to publish it) and a moderator can take a look.

Is there a way to make a weapon have a strength requirement the same way some armors do?
Were you ever able to figure this out?

Hello! I am trying to find the way to be able to customize my weapons (like my spear) to be silver instead of normal, how do I do this?
On your character sheet click on the item you want to be silver, click on customize and check on the Silvered box.

Unless they changed that very recently, the Modifier Proficiency - Self for magic items only applies to Armor, not Weapons.

One cannot. One would have to either:
Either way it would have to be done twice, once for the fire damage and once more for the cold.
