It involves some extra lore stuff they added about Fairies needing human belief to survive, so Tink kidnaps Peter Pan and the lost boys to keep her and her friends alive, Wendy messes stuff up by almost convincing them to leave neverland, which would be very bad for Tink and Friends.
so the obvious thing to do is for Tink to kill Wendy.
anyways, I kinda want to make a new type of hag. I’ve already home brewed two of my own hags, Guilltoine and carousel hags. So I need some inspiration…
Office Hag. The ones really into contracts. They'll hang around the water cooler spreading lies and deceit to turn people against each other. "Hey, Charlie, between you and me Cheryl doesn't like you." paired with "Oh hey, Cheryl. I think Charlie is avoiding you because he's got some treachery up his sleeves." Will use their fey talents to forecast into the future, making them useful for business owners looking to up the bottom line. But will make working there miserable.
Trail Hag. Dedicated to leading travelers astray. They'll create false illusions of signs. Given time they can even create what initially looks like a path. But these false paths quickly end and cause followers of them to often get lost with no markers of how to get back to the original trail. They'll even show up to lost travelers under the guise of a helpful druid offering directions or being a temporary guide, only to lead the hapless victims further into forests where they have the power to strike bargains in their favor, lest their target be lost forever.
Lake Hag. Watery tarts lobbing scimitars is no basis for a stable system of government. But boy is it fun! These hags will lay in wait beneath the surface waiting for people to come by at which point they'll emerge with prophecies of grandeur and tales of riches. They may even offer gifts to those that visit, but these gifts are often trapped with curses that bind the victim's life energy to the hag's for her usage.
the idea for Guillotine and Carousel hags were that they fed on emotions, or well fed on the people feeling those emotions. Guillotine hags feed off of feelings of guilt, anger, betrayal, and anarchy. The French Revolution was orchestrated by a Guillotine hag. Carousel hags feed off of joy and love. Mary Poppins might have been a carousel hag.
Yes, there is. It also includes the Cat in the Hat.
Just checked, couldn’t find the stats I made for guillotine hags, but I did find the stats for the Carousel hag if you want to see it. I actually have a character on the forums that is a Carousel hag. Their name is Aunt Pleasant, and she looks like what you would imagine a normal elementary school teacher would look like, with a sunflower dress and a kind smile and all that stuff. However, carousel hags have this special ability where they can sort of make onlookers not realize anything they’re doing is out of the ordinary.
i kinda want to continue the trend of hags that feed on emotions (and emotional people) so I need to think of another sort of thing like that I could turn into a hag… first thing that came to mind was a hag that fed off of confusion (which I actually might just turn into its own separate fey monster, called a Whatsit)
Languages Abyssal, Common, Elvish, Goblin, Infernal, Sylvan
Challenge 8 (3,900 XP)
Magic Resistance. The Carousel hag has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Ravenous. The Carousel hag can make a bite attack as a bonus action against a creature it marks with its man eater’s mark.
Innate Spellcasting. The Hag's innate spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 19, +11 to hit with spell attacks). She can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:
At will: misty step, friends, eldritch blast
3/day each: calm emotions, wither and bloom, blight, invisibility
1/day each: Maze, sequester, control weather, mental prison
Aura of forgetfulness. All creatures not directly interacting with the hag, or that have not interacted with the hag in the last 24 hours must make a DC 19 wisdom saving throw to realize that they are doing any sort of strange activity, such as fighting or casting a spell. This effect hides the hag’s combatants as well.
Actions
Multiattack. The hag makes one bite attack and two claw attacks, or it casts a spell and uses absorb joy.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 4d10+9 piercing damage.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 2d8+9 slashing damage.
Illusory Appearance. The hag covers itself and anything it is wearing or carrying with a magical illusion that makes it look like another creature of its general size and shape. The effect ends if the hag takes a bonus action to end it or if it dies.
The changes wrought by this effect fail to hold up to physical inspection. For example, the hag could appear to have no claws, but someone touching its hand might feel the claws. Otherwise, a creature must take an action to visually inspect the illusion and succeed on a DC 19 Intelligence (Investigation) check to discern that the hag is disguised.
Absorb joy. The Carousel hag targets one creature that has experienced a significant amount of joy within the last minute, and that creature immediately must make a DC 19 charisma saving throw or become frightened of the hag for one hour. In addition, the hag gains the following benefits:
Its size increasing to huge as it becomes taller and thinner for one minute.
Its claw attacks deal an extra 1d8 damage and grapple on a hit for one minute.
The Carousel hag gains the use of one of its 3/day spells.
The Carousel hag regains 2d6 hitpoints.
Ravenous feast. The Carousel hag targets one large or smaller creature at 0 hitpoints or that has died in the last minute, and eats the entire corpse over the course of one round. If uninterrupted, the creature dies and if the target felt joy within the last minute, the Carousel hag gains the effects of absorb joy.
Maneater’s mark. The Hag targets one creature within 120 feet of it. That creature becomes its mark. The hag can only have one mark at a time. A creature that is marked cannot hide or have 3 quarters or half cover from the Carousel hag, and the Carousel hag always knows where it is, regardless of distance. The mark wears off after a week or when the target dies.
And boom! Some of the wording and descriptions are kinda weird, but I think its pretty cool.
DM: The hag absorbs joy. Player: My character wasn't happy. DM: But he was laughing and giggling. Player: Yes. But the trauma of his past prevents him from being truly happy. DM: He held his newborn son for the first time! He was happy. Player: Then why didn't my stats change? DM: I never should've let you play Angel from Buffy the Vampire Slayer...
Out of curiosity, what the rationale for the languages selection? Common and Sylvan I expected. But I don't know hag lore in terms of the others.

Elvish is sort of Sylvan’s cousin language and lots of fey know it (like Centuars) and most hags know random weird languages, like Annis hags knowing giant and Green hags knowing Draconic I think. I feel like Infernal and Abyssal are both just make sense for hags, and I have no idea what I was doing with goblin.
and yeah I made this a long time ago and would probably give them slightly lower stats, maybe down to a 20 in strength and Charisma, maybe 15 and fourteen in wisdom and intelligence, and Dex could be like a 12 now that I think about it.
Ooh interesting, I didn’t know about that! History if fun.
i also just discovered that someone made a Disney villain song for Tinkerbell. And it’s actually super cool.
How?
I know Tink gets way too jealous of Wendy.
But how does she get a villain song?

that ability extends to eating children.
"Hello, kids. We're going to learn about commas today."
*bored groans*
"Let's take the following sentence. Do you think this sentence is correct as is? Let's eat kids."
*little girl excitedly raises her hand*
"Yes, Anabelle?"
"It's wrong. There should be a comma before the 'kids' since you're talking to the kids, not eating them."
