That's not really constructive feedback. Yes, you may own the physical copies, but, unless they do collaborative measure with release, like they did with the essentials kit, physical books do not entitle you to the same content on this website, just like it wouldn't on roll20, or fantasy grounds, or any other site that licences the content.
D&D Beyond is not owned or operated by Wizards of the Coast. Wizards charges D&D Beyond a licensing fee for access to the books. Plus there is the cost of digitizing them and getting everything linked together with proper tooltips. And the ongoing server costs to support providing the content after it has been purchased.
What you are asking for is akin to buying a hardcover at Barnes and Noble and then demanding that Audible gives you the audio book for free. Different companies, with separate costs associates with producing the content in a physical vs digital form.
I disagree. I read the rulebooks at work and it makes making characters much quicker and easier, plus I can look up spells, items, monsters (anything really) instantly.
If it had a VTT and dice roller, it would meet 100% of my d&d needs.
I disagree although I was a slow converter to dndbeyond....now it’s my preferred reading method of the books. Still pick up Fantasy Grounds since I use a tv on the game table for maps but I’ve really enjoyed dndbeyond at the table for my character sheet, monster and spell look up, and encounter building prior to a session.
I've played pen and paper RPGs for over 20 years and have spent a fortune on paper books.
I own almost all of the 5th edition books, but now own every single book on Beyond for the sheer ease-of-access and ease-of-use. D&D Beyond isn't disappointing, it's a really excellent service that has gotten a lot of people, myself included to pay for the same product twice. It isn't a free service, that's what you're disappointed in. I've stopped buying the paperback books because having them all here is much more efficient for me, and make the character sheets the best possibly available that I've ever found.
I understand your disappointment, but it's unfortunately misguided. You can't buy a Sam's Club Card and expect them to honor it at Costco.
I am currently disappointed because the new sourcebook Eberron: Rising from the Last War has changed the Warforged race. You can no longer pick a subrace and because that is now the case i have lost a valuable asset to my character because they were a variant Warforged, Skirimisher i believe it was. The racial variant feats were very helpful and i hope that you would consider adding them back in.
...i have lost a valuable asset to my character because they were a variant Warforged...
Existing characters have not been changed - they will continue to use the old warforged race stats, unless you manually change them to the new warforged race.
From the marketplace description for WGtE: The game mechanics here are usable in your campaign, but at this time they aren’t officially part of the game and aren’t permitted in D&D Adventurers League events. These mechanics will evolve based on player feedback. This is a living document, and as these concepts are refined, this book will also be updated for free; so you will be kept up to date with any changes that are made to it. Due to this, the content is not available in the D&D Beyond reader mobile app until a later date.
It was never intended that those were the final versions (in WGtE) and that once Last War was released, the WGtE versions would be updated. For the skirmisher in particular, you can homebrew a variant that replaces Specialized Design with Swift/Light Step and tweaks the Ability Scores.
I just cancelled my Subscription and went back to a Basic account. With these changes, forced upon us by WotC, DnDBeyond no longer meets my needs for my campaigns. Thus I no longer need access to more than 6 characters or the once valued Campaigns features.
I'll be going back to Hero Lab which has far greater homebrew capabilities, and can not be forcibluy changed by an outside source like WotC.

That is an inaccurate and post-facto warning. When the content was placed on the Marketplace, that warning did not exist. When the content was released, both Mike Mearls and the content author confirmed it as official content. Even if none of that is true, it still doesn't justify deleting content under the guise of "updates". Players paid to use THAT content. That's a bait and switch.
And don't try to feed us the tired nonsense about "WoTC conditions say". The site has plenty of unofficial content. To delete the content that people paid for and then followup with "jUsT rEmAkE iT yOuRsElf" is unacceptable; I didn't have to pay anything in the first place if I was going to just make it myself.
You can't take people's money for a product and then change/delete the product. That's a bait-and-switch. They need to restore the paid content to a usable condition. If they want to mark it as homebrew/UA/outdated content, that's up to them. But it needs to be usable. People paid to use it.

Depending how this plays out, I may do the same. DnD is not the game for "yOuRe HaViNg FuN wRoNg" from the manufacturers. They've completely lost their bearings and are trying to treat all their content like MTG.
Good luck going back to hero lab. I liked it for pathfinder but you’ll have to create 100% of everything outside the SRD/OGL. Community pack last update was 2-2-18 for 5th in hero labs. I understand the frustration but if your going to create this warforged variant in hero lab, why not do it here in beyond and have everything else to boot.

Where did Mearls and the content author say that the initial mechanics in Wayfinder’s was “official content”? Every early communication from Mearls and from the DMsGuild offering of Wayfinders that I know about included the information that it was a living document and that the mechanical aspects were playtest and would updated before it was considered “final.” In fact there was a whole discussion about print-on-demand for DMsGuild in that regard. Mearls said they wouldn’t turn on print on demand for Wayfinders until everything there was in its final form.
There's a tweet where Mearls says it's official Eberron content, ie it's canon Eberron material. But people seem to be confusing that as to mean it's official D&D content.
This is 100% official content for Eberron. Since it is an ebook, that also means we can update content with comments based on UA playtests of the races and the artificer. If we do an Eberron print product, we will design it to complement as much as possible what the PDF presents.
It's important that people note it says "official content for Eberron" which isn't the same as being official D&D content.

I am one of those who used to regularly contribute to the 5E Community Pack until my minor stroke back in 2016. I still add my own material regularly for my own campaigns. The Advantage of using HL is that WotC cannot force changes onto me like they have done vis DDB. If I don't like something, I simply don't have to waste my precious time implementing it.

This sounds familiar. I guess I'll include a quote of my response then since you felt the need to repeat it in its own very unhelpful thread:

You own the physical books, an entirely different product. I'll repeat what I said in your other 'reply'
What was your expectation? That the content would be just free? Content that you, by your own admission have had to pay for in the past?

You will be able to homebrew in subraces for the warforged, or even make the old warforged as a full homebrew race
