So I'm trying to create some custom feats for my party.
They are all relatively small but so far, out of four, two are broken and don't display properly on the character sheet.
First, one gives advantage on three saving throws, Insight, Perception, and Religion. Except, Religion won't work. Everything is the same between all three on the editor but when I assign it to the character on Insight and Perception gain advantage but Religion doesn't. Why? There is no difference, why is one broken but the other two not.
Second feat grants half proficiency on all saves. I've tried a simple way: Bonus > Half Proficiency > Saving Throws. that didn't show, it still says the character is not proficient in any saving throws bar class-specific ones. So I tried granting all of them separately: Bonus Half Proficiency > Int saving throws, rinse repeat for each saves. Nope still doesn't work.
I say this in all due respect but, what the ****. Why is this tool so random, why offer the ability to grant buffs to stats or saves or skill sonly for the character sheet to randomly decide what can and cannot be shown?
Is this a known issue and if so why is it still a problem. This is basic functionality. When I spend time creating something I expect it to work on the same website I built it on.
Edit: I should also mention this isn't the first time I've had a problem with homebrew anything breaking the send it touches a character sheet. On Sunday I gave a character a magic glave that. During the session the attended to it and made it their pact weapon and hex weapon, as a story moment I edited on that it did extra psychic damage now that it became his pact weapon. Except the character sheet deleted that bit. There was a full sentence missing from the item in the player's equipment and the psychic damage wasn't showing either (and yes I know where it's supposed to be displayed).
Do you guys have two separate teams working on these two elements (homebrew and character sheets) that don't like each other? This is infuriating. I don't spend time building stuff to make my game cooler only for your website to fight itself at my expense.
Insight Perception, and Religion are not saving throws, those are skill checks.
I would try removing the glaive from their sheet and re-adding it. My guess is the logic for updating the sheet only gets triggered when you add equipment, since the VAST majority of the time magic items don't change their properties during games.

Re-saving the whole homebrew triggers the system to search to check for compliance and push changes to the character sheet. It can be instantaneous, but it can also take up to 20 minutes.
The OP mentioned two separate homebrews, one for the skills, one for the saves.
@Durog25,
The one for the skill checks:
You probably saved the item after you added the first two modifiers. Then you added Religion and saved the modifier, but didn’t re-save the whole feat. Re-save the feat and it could take up to 20 minutes to push the changes, be patient. If that doesn’t fix it, then you coded something different on that one, double check it.
The one about the saves:
Top 3 most likely problems, either:
You added those modifiers and saved them but then didn’t re-save the feat.
You loaded the feat onto the character before adding the modifiers, refresh the character sheet.
That modifier doesn’t work on feats, it might be one of the ones that only works on subclass features or something. For example, it seems you cannot add a feat to a character with that modifier if you try to use it on a magic item because it was only designed for Variant Human. Or it might not work at all, there are several that do nothing. Can’t add spell slots, extend the range of a weapon, etc.

However, it might still be a bug. 🤷♂️
Ok, I'll make sure to give it 20mins. That seems like a long time but I am a tad impatient at the best of times, I can cope with waiting 20 mins.
About point 3. Why on earth are there dud options on the list? Why even have them as an option is they don't work? Seems like an odd system to me. Is there a list somewhere of ones that don't work, and under what circumstances. I don't like the idea of wasting upwards of hours building homebrew anything only for it to all be a waste because of trap options that don't work.
Usually it happens right away, I don’t really know why things are slower, but I have some ideas. Hopefully it will get better.
We use the same creation system that the Devs use, but we don’t have Admin privileges. Those functions may lead to major glitches if incorrectly programmed, so they were locked away behind Admin privilege. 🤷♂️ There are reasons, but it would take to long to explain. They are working on fixing the system as we discuss it. If you want to know more, read the Red posts here: https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/d-d-beyond-general/d-d-beyond-feedback/62136-a-question-of-priority. That is awesome to see, thanks for the link. I had a feeling this would be a known issue. Much appreciated. :D

Post links to the feats (mods can ever see them when not published), and a link to your test character.

I meant skill check.
I also did the "remove it and re-add it". Multiple times. That was my first thought. Not the case.

Note: Now the religion gets advantage after I post this. Why does it take so long to update itself? The saves half proficiency still isn't showing.
