Starting about 2 weeks ago, when my players level up their characters, their hit points will not save with the level up. I have tried multiple times to go in as the GM and update it for them, but it still will not save. I will hit "Apply Changes" in the character editor, but when I open the character sheet up, they will be back at the previous value. We have tried using the Hit Point Override field in both the character editor and the character sheet, but anytime the page is refreshed the change will be lost. Is anyone else having a similar issue? Do we have a fix for this?
This sounds like a server caching issue. Try logging out and logging back in. That will trigger the server to reset its cache. Then just wait around 15-20 minutes for it to do its thing and try doing your HP again. That should work.
This is happening to me right now too, very frustrating. It saves other changes from the level up process, but it won't save my max hit point change after multiple tries and logging out/in.
Thank you but the issue is resolved for me now. I had a bunch of D&D Beyond tabs open in Chrome, so maybe that was causing an issue. After closing all the tabs, re-logging and waiting a few minutes, I was able to adjust my max hit points and the changes saved appropriately. Sorry for the trouble!
Tried logging out and back in. Nothing will allow me to fix my max hp. What other suggestions can I try please?

There is a number in brackets that appears next to the hp I have. After a long rest, my hp reverts back to that number even though it’s not the right value. I can’t figure out how to fix that issue. I have tried multiple suggestions but nothing has worked so I’m not sure if I did something wrong in the setup or not.

That’s because you are probably adjusting your HP as “overrides” instead of actually adjusting your actual HP.
When you level up, don’t adjust your HP on the character sheet. Do it in the builder instead. Roll your hit die, and add the total to the “HP Modifier” field, the builder will automatically add your Con mod so you don’t have to.

Tried it that way and am still getting the same issue. Should I just build another character and try it that way?
So I think the issue as to why the suggestions weren’t working is because I do manual hp rather than fixed. Watch a YouTube video and just copied that and have now sorted everything. Thanks everyone that tried to help.

Those instructions only apply to Manual HP, Fixed HP gets done automatically without players having to do anything at all.

Well I’m not too sure then but the video I watched showed a different way of doing it to the suggestions here and it worked. Not sure why it took so long but I’m just happy it’s working now.

I’m having trouble getting my max hp to save. Any chance you could help me sort this problem out. https://www.dndbeyond.com/profile/PJPage59/characters/61339511
As far as I can tell, your Max HP Override appears to be saving. Are you referring to something else?
