Not a fan. Would much rather it was totally reverted tbh. The spells area in particular seems much worse to me and I hugely preferred the way it was laid out before.
When this was launched, "Description" and "Notes" were public for all other players in my campaign to see. Normally, you'd want your backstory (under "Notes") at the very least to be hidden to everyone but you and the DM.
Recently both "Description" and "Notes" have been updated to now be hidden to other players.
But (1) I'm not sure why "Description" would be hidden at all. And (2) there should be a simple toggle to allow you to choose to make your Backstory/Notes public. I prefer them to be private by default, but there are plenty of situations you would want to share it with your campaign publicly.
All of the below, with the exception of tracking Ki points should be in the Bonus Action section, rather than the Action section:
Ki Points
You can spend Ki Points to fuel ki features. You have 6 points per short rest and your Ki save DC is 15.
Flurry of Blows - After you take the Attack action on your turn, you can spend 1 ki point to make two unarmed strikes as a bonus action.
Patient Defense - You can spend 1 ki point to take the Dodge action as a bonus action on your turn.
Step of the Wind - You can spend 1 ki point to take the Disengage or Dash action as a bonus action on your turn, and your jump distance is doubled for the turn.
OK, I'm now on my Windows 10 tablet, so I can give a bit better feedback. Swiping in the browser is used for "back and forward" (in Chrome at least), and I'm not sure if it's possible to override that to add the ability to swipe the side panel away. If it is that would be great, but if not there should be a way to close it that's not a) the tiny arrows and b) having to find a space to tap that doesn't have another potential sidebar. Potentially just tapping anywhere outside the sidebar should be a pretty easy fix.
Looking again I can confirm that attacks and spells really need to be larger. I assume you are working on separating those out but making it easier to read/interact with would be huge. For example the filtering buttons for showing just first or second or whatever level spells is a very small tap area to work with. I think it's improved on mobile so something similar would be ideal.
- Better use of colors - use colors to further differentiate. The old sheet was super colorful and made finding things significantly easier and cleaner. Now it’s a weird two color theme (I’m aware you can change the colors) which in one sense is clean but in one sense makes everything blend together much much more.
I agree with the need for color.
In the old sheet, each spell had the icon representing its school of magic next to it (like it still does in the character editor). If a spell you use frequently is listed just after a group of 3 conjuration spells on your list, you could use that as a quick visual queue to locate it. Anyone who plays a spellcaster would quickly (subconsciously) identify similar shortcuts for navigating long lists.
Also, you could get a quick overview of your spell distribution. "6 of my 7 prepared spells are evocation (icon is mostly red)...should I perhaps diversify a little bit, or do i just want to blow things up?"
I love it, I was only using this for spells until the revamp but now it looks fantastic and information is (mostly) SO much easier to find/get to.
Couple of things - I've got a circle of the moon druid and its a bit awkward scrolling through my class features to get to my wildshape uses and also find out what CR they can be as my level 6 class feature overrules my level 8 one. It would also be fantastic if there was a way to bookmark particular creatures so I can easily see my options and then get their stats quickly.

When will the native iOS DNDBeyond app do character sheets and home brew etc...?
i prefer the new layout. I truly didn’t like all the little windows I had to tap into and scroll to see features in the old. Really like the advantage icon, and dot and ring to indicate an expert skill. Nice graphic design job. The side bar seems useful for extra info. This is your best digital sheet yet.

Rule for drama. Roll for memories. If there isn't a meaningful failure condition, do not roll. Ever. (Perception checks, I'm .... clunk, roll, roll, roll, stop... 14, looking at you... maybe?)
I would like to see Actions as an available input for homebrew items, so that when they are equipped, if the item has an action/bonus action/reaction/other attached to it, it appears in the relevant section.
Currently I can workaround by entering those items as actions/etc manually, but it doesn't help differentiate between equipped/not equipped, and when I give items to my players it means either taking extra time during the session to set them up in those sections, or not being visible until between sessions when I can update them.
I was thinking the same thing. I love the new actions section and being able to add that in the item would be awesome.
I've noticed quite a few people asking for the limited use section back on the character sheet, while I understand where they are coming from I think being able to have all the things they track in one place I think there are a few small adjustments that could be made to the current sheet that would alleviate most of the pain people are feeling for wanting the section back.
Ill first preface this by staying that I am well aware that the DDB team are working of full implementations of class resource management (such as ki, sorcery points, etc.) and im hoping that those sections will cover those specific areas.
I think that all things that require resource management should be included in the actions section in one way or another, there are things currently left out of the actions section like the lucky feat or rogues sneak attack that i feel should really be included. I know that neither of these things requires an "Action" but there are other things included in there that don't either like the fighters action surge. If everything was included in the actions section, people wouldn't have to go digging in features and traits to ensure they haven't missed anything
Because of the above suggestion i thing the "Other" actions tab should be split into a "Free/No Action" tab and a "More than one action" tab, or even keep the second one as other. But i do think these should be split as they are for very different circumstances. Not sure i have ever used something like a spell that requires more than one action in combat before But the things that are free actions i will use constantly.
The other thing that was in the limited use section was magic items with charges and i do feel that these need to be managed better. I don't have any solution that i have really come up with that works but some ideas could be including them in their own section, being able to filter them buy has charges, include them in a section in the actions tab (this one is a bit weird but works in my head), include them in the attunement section as only the ones with attunement can normally be used.
That being said i think there needs to be a button somewhere that is a "New Dawn" or something for all the magic items that reset at dawn and you currently have to dig through inventory to find what charges need to be refreshed. I am also aware that staff have said they still want to improve inventory when they include in containers. So this will hopefully be covered in that and I'm sure they will come up with a better solution than any that i have offered but just thought id try.
Also finally id like to throw my vote in for the Moon Druid wild shape feature overwriting the main wild shape feature, in the actions section. Still think the features and traits section should show every feature received even if superseded.
Thanks for the awesome revamp I am absolutely loving it and entirely worth the wait.
There is some good and some bad. I don’t like spells from items showing up on my spell list. I like the new HP interface. I generally liked having everything on one page better.
Any particular reason why the stats are horizontal across the top on the screen but vertical on the left side on the printed form? Any setting to change this?
After trying everything out, here's what I have for you:
Things I Like
Items effects (e.g. potions) showing up in line with spells. This is a great reminder for players who forget all the little things they found.
Actions section is great. It's the perfect thing for players who forget all of the things they can do on a turn and, once it's smoothed out, should significantly reduce the amount of time needed to scroll through abilities
New symbols for showing advantage, disadvantage, etc.
Snippet codes! These are amazing. Having a bonus automatically calculated speeds up play by reducing overhead for the players. The ability to add in basic math puts it over. I really love this and I think it's a huge addition.
The waffle menu for navigating in mobile. I know some prefer the slider, because I guess it gave people the perception that everything was on one sheet (it wasn't as far as I can tell), however I think the new menu is much faster. I could see a newer player not being sure where they needed to click, so if the slider is reinstated I would really like to have the waffle menu available as well.
Make AC more accessible
If you remove the combat section, please consider how an action section could be filtered for combat. Otherwise, it could be a massive list.
Suggested Tweaks
I could see there being some confusion about potion effects showing up in "Spells" if it's a class that doesn't have any spells. An "Effects" section or something like it might be helpful.
Ability to hide actions that a player doesn't want to see in the Actions section of the sheet
Move the Manage Equipment button to somewhere that it's obvious. I spent a good deal of time trying to figure out how to add stuff to the inventory, until I finally found the little gear in the corner.
Description or snippet for the Conditions. I feel like these are the things that are easiest to forget.
Exhaustion levels, not just a toggle
As someone else suggested, move proficiency to the Proficiencies & Languages table.
Take the movement square off the top bar and move it into its own section called Movement, maybe below the proficiency.
Ideas for Additions
Show skills like a Fighter's Indomitable in the Saving Throws table.
Rename the Abilities, Save, Speed... button. The title is super long, in my opinion.
More snippets please! Some useful things might be hit dice available and limited uses remaining. I'm sure there are others, these were just the two that stood out to me most.
Snippet code to include icons. I'm talking the new advantage, disadvantage, resistance, etc, as well as the damage type icons (elemental and mundane). These would make quick reading in a snippet even better than it already is.
Snippets useable in other areas, preferably at least the Notes section of an action.
Jump distances calculated in Movement section.
Carrying capacity calculated (this would be in a movement section probably).
1) Inspiration just isn't that important to keep track of. You either have it or you don't. Given that it'd be nice if there were the ability to use Hero Points instead, the Inspiration block can be incorporated somewhere else and an AC block put in its place.
2) This may not be popular, but how many times do you actually have to reference your primary ability scores, or even their bonuses, during a game? Most times the reference needed is the proficiency + ability modifier as part of an ability check or saving throw. Having the ability scores be right up the top and so large is... well... kinda redundant.

"Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation."
I Also have a few more pieces of feedback regarding the actions section of the character sheet that i haven't really seen mentioned, though if they have just throwing my vote for them too.
I love having a list of all the actions that you can take in combat with all their descriptions when you click on each, I think it would be really cool if when you get to 2nd level rogue, the Dash, Disengage and Hide actions also appeared in the Bonus Action section as well I know they are mentioned in the cunning action section itself, but it would be cool to have them listed like in the actions section where you can click on them.
This also brings in the point of are tooltips going to be implemented in the character builder? I know there is some lingering tooltip code throughout some of the sidebar information, but i feel like i have heard conflicting statements where someone has said they will be stripped out and someone else said that they will be implemented (don't have references for this, unfortunately). Just thought it would be good to have a clear response for this, especially for things like showing the descriptions for conditions. (The point about conditions I am aware has been mentioned by multiple people in this thread)
My other piece of feedback for actions is when I click on an action, in the sidebar id love to be able to seed the full fleshed out description rather than scrolling through features and traits to see this. Currently, when i click on cunning action in the actions section i get the below.
But when i click on cunning action in the Features & Traits section i get a full description of what it is as well as its source being Rogue
I think it would be a really nice idea to have all this information included in the actions section of all actions as well as just the features and traits. I know it doesn't make much of a difference for this action as it is really simple, but i was just using it as an example. I feel like it would be very useful for some of the more complex abilities.
In general, really loving the feedback. One thing I noticed however is...
With GNOME CUNNING or DWARVEN RESILIENCE (i.e. when something grants advantage to a save), you guys do an excellent job of calling it on the character sheet with a green A. However, this doesn't apply to skills like the Deep Gnomes Stone Camoflauge ...or some homebrews I am working on.

How? If you're making any sort of ability check, chances are that it's associated with a skill and whether you have proficiency in the skill or not, the modifier to the roll is presented in the skills list.
