It’s frustrating seeing all this rapid progress on the encounter builder, infusions, dice roller etc and we’re still missing core functionality like being able to select Adv/Disadv on skills – this should have been fixed a long time ago
Yeah, I'm playing a cleric and just got 5th level spells and 95% of my 5th level spells listed are all up-casted spell options. Its a nice feature but being able to turn it off and on.
Please improve searchability of magic items by allowing a multiple filters for the following:
1.attunable items/non attunable items
2. rarity levels
These filters are already available on the Magic Item listing page. I believe adding them to the character sheet would just make it crowded - if you're just browsing for items, it's way more comfortable to use the Magic Item listing anyway.

Yeah, I'm playing a cleric and just got 5th level spells and 95% of my 5th level spells listed are all up-casted spell options. Its a nice feature but being able to turn it off and on.
My level 9 wizard have 13 spells prepared. Not counting the ritual spells, I have 40 spell entries listed. I also have a wand of magic missiles and a wand of lightning, adding another 14 entries to the list. So instead of seeing 15 spells plus rituals (plus cantrips), I see 54 entries (plus rituals and cantrips), 39 of them being duplicates. It's also not consequent, because you can cast any spells at higher level, so technically Darkvision should also appear at every level (thank some deities it doesn't). Not to mention, I know a total of 27 spells including ritual spells; with the rituals I have 47 entries (61 with the magic items), about twice as much as the spells I actually have in my spell book...
Frankly, since there's already a simple way to upcast a spell from its original level, I find duplicating some of them more frustrating and distracting than having to click on the spell first if I want to upcast it... and it doesn't really help beginners, cause this makes them think that the other spells cannot be upcasted, even though they can be; and it suggests that magic items use spell slots.
Would it be possible to have containers for inventory? Items could be inside containers, and nested.
Bag of holding, with X items/weight, inside a backpack, etc.
As is, there is no way to track or keep up with correct encumbrance if you have a bag of holding because nothing is considered inside the bag as far as DndBeyond is concerned.

This is being worked on.
In the meantime you can customise an item to set weight to zero and add a note it is in the bag of holding. This will mean it won't add to encumbrance and lets you see which are in the bag, as notes appear in the inventory list.

I have been using this tool for a couple years now. I like it for the most part, but there is just too much navigating required for the online character sheet. Its fine for game prep, but it's not user-friendly at the game table when you need to look up something up quickly. Please have your UX team observe groups gaming with this app, they will see the problems immediately. And don't just observe kids or online players. Observe some less-tech-savy players, and specifically groups that play around a table.
I feel that a single page should contain all the core reference information, chiefly:
- ability scores, saving throws, skills with proficiency values, languages, other proficiencies
-HP, AC, Speed, initiative modifier
-feats and abilities (racial, class & background) (these could be hyperlinked to pop-up box descriptions)
-weapons with to hit and damage bonuses & equipment
A seperate page could be used for tracking spell slots and spells (clicking spells should bring up pop-up box descriptions)
Descriptions and notes could go on a third page.
I feel like nothing is obvious in this layout and we spend too much time trying to find basic information. Alternatively you could have a way to download the sheet in the style of the pdf / printed version, but as a fillable form.
I would ideally like a digital version of the traditional character sheet that I could load up on my tablet and edit with my stylus so it's just like having the paper copy.
Finally I think that DMs should has more capacity to override rules, for instance to give characters additional skills and abilities beyond standard rules.

I do the weight override and note it as "in bag of holding" but would like to see this option.

It would be helpful to know how you are viewing your character sheet: the view on a phone/a tablet in portrait mode is different than a table in landscape, which is slightly different (though less so) that on a computer screen. On a landscape table and computer, the sheet is essentially one page.
The exportable pdf is form fillable, so I’m not sure I’m understanding the issue in that regard.
adding additional skills is already something that can be done; additional ability scores is not, though.
Would there be a way to have the state of the sidebar persisted across page loads? So if I have it fixed, when I refresh, it will be fixed again.
This has been requested a lot, and making other panels persistent would also really help too. Right now it doesn’t even remember which sub-tab you’re on, when you switch from tab to tab, let alone reloading the page.
I noticed when I take the feat greater weapon master only half of the text of what it can do appears under the action tab. Making it easy to forget or overlook if it isn't there. But the whole text shows up on another tab. Kinda frustrating.

It's because only half of it costs an action (a bonus action, to be precise). I agree that it would be nice if any optional attack modifiers (GWM, Sharpshooter, Spell Sniper, Savage Attacker, etc) would have a snippet under the attacks for a reminder though.

I don't know if this has been suggested before, but I would really appreciate it if the sheets had a tickable hit dice counter, so we could keep track of how many hit dice we used up between long rests.
(or some other way of tracking when you use hit dice to heal)
Never mind, I just found it on the short rest button. Whoops!
Edit: It just tells you how much HP you could get back by rolling those hit dice, but didn't automatically add the hp regained to the character sheet? Is that supposed to be that way?

Quick question.
is there a reason why startin equipment ”20 arrows in the quiver” adds arrows but not the quiver?
Just a thought. Could it be possible to add a Hide/show button for Up-casting spells?
Waiting for that since upcasting was added cause it makes the spell list quite messy and hard to have an overview...

I do the weight override and note it as "in bag of holding" but would like to see this option.
