I don't know if this has been suggested before, but I really think homebrew spell searching could use some work (or maybe searches in general?). Specifically, I would like the ability to simply block certain spells from displaying when searching either on a case by case basis or through other options such as I might like to not see certain spells by a certain column value such as author (meaning permanently block an author's spells from showing up when i go to view homebrew spells). It makes it hard to find certain types of homebrew spells that I enjoy when i have to dig through homebrew spells (which are perfectly fine) that do not jive with either my humor/mentality/perspective etc. Maybe its just me though?
I would also suggest allowing users to search negatively for non-dropdown fields. Meaning allow you to add in terms that you don't want to see....Meaning give me all the spells that do not have the word Air in them or something like that. This is usually accomplished elsewhere that i've seen by adding dash in front of the search term. Ex. Spell Name: -air (should return all spell names without the word air in them). Or more easily you could add to advanced filters a text field where you tell the user to specify a comma separated list of terms you do not want to see anywhere in the spell...

Just a couple suggestions.
Great ideas.

Hi guys i dunno if this as been suggested before ?
i would love making some armor set or multiple different kind of items as part of a set that once you got few parts of it or the whole set give you some extra bonus etc...
there is no way so far to get some of those bonus activated when parts of a set get equipped could be some boxes that you select on your item when you have 2 parts 3 parts 4 parts etc... and please let us add some attunment to get multiple part set attuned that would be very nice
I'd like to be able to tie Magic Item modifiers to the Charges.
e.g.
Once per day, on command, the sword bestows a flying speed of 40 ft for 10 minutes.
Obviously no need to track the minutes, but it would be nice for the Flying Speed to only take effect when the Use button is tapped, and perhaps a separate method of "deactivating" it.
So I go to delete an ability on a monster I'm working on, then goes and COMPLETELY resets all the work I did. I spent like 15 minutes, and you mean to tell me that changing ONE thing resets the ENTIRE thing?!?!??!!!? (Also, I'm a bit angry, so I might not make the best choices in this post.) Then when I when to check if it had just changed into a second monster, it just said COPY_OF_Gray Ooze! I had spent, let me remind you, a whole FIFTEEN MINUTES, which for me is a record for staying focused on something involving math, working on that! All of that work, gone! Down the drain! Ruined! Please change that.
Added or changed a language, skill, sense, or speed?

I haven't noticed any problems when starting from scratch so maybe it's just a problem when you use a creature as a base hmmm. you might want to report it as a bug.
Quick question. Will there be a video tutorial on using the campaign manager? I'm throwing together a small one shot for my players & I can't work out how to load the image of the dungeon map to the DM's private notes, so I don't need to carry paperwork to the game. Also this would help to introduce paper based DM's to other advantages of Beyond (like linking to encounter generators & stuff)
This has probably been suggested before, but I'd love for a way to create and share homebrew adventures and be able to create sections for the adventures and link out to specific creatures, much like the official 5e adventures do.

Links (if you're talking about things like hydra) are detailed here.

That was what I meant by linking, having a section for adventures to be created/divided into sections and be shared would still be very welcome though
Homebrewing a weapon for one of the characters in my campaign. It's a shortsword +2 but also does an additional 1d4 of radiant damage. Is there anyway to make it so when the weapon is equiped it shows as 1d6+1d4? Or do you just have to add that to the flavor text and hope the character remembers to add the additional damage?
Not sure if this has been requested before or not.
I'd love to see a rating system for homebrew. I'd like some way to sort by quality. There are a lot of homebrew entries rife with spelling/grammar errors, incomplete entries, or otherwise broken mechanics.
Related to my previous comment, I'd love to see the option to propose changes to homebrew entries, pending the author's approval. Less like Wikipedia, and more like Stack Overflow. It would be nice to be able to correct spelling, grammar, and templating errors.

just pointing out, you can't even edit your own homebrew material once it's published. It has to be submitted for complete review again if you do. That being said I doubt you'd ever get the ability to edit someone else's.
The reason they don't allow it is say you create an item, and a few other people love it and use it, so add it to their campaign. Then you decide to make significant changes to it -- suddenly it's not the same item anymore, has different effects, etc. and the people who had it after v1 now no longer have access to that v1.

that give me an idea .. they should do allow it for lets say 1 item of each kind and call it let say the longsword of changing ... so everytime you play it may have change of power ... could do that with a ring a bow a chain mail etc.. but only 1 item of each made first by the dev then can be change later by other people lets say once a day so if it already been changed you have to wait another day to change it with different power ... could ben nice and funny ;)

When you post a new version of the same item/monster/spell, once it is approved, it replaces the original for anyone browsing the homebrew listings.
