I think a small majority here are forecasting Friday to be the day, after Critical Role.
We don't really have any way of figuring it out, since both during and after have been suggested by folks in the thread, with reasoning. I'm a pessimist, so I'm guessing Friday as well.
"You've got the perfect revamp, read-only and whitelist, But you need a platform to send the call so the users get the gist, You hit up Sam Riegel, and propose that's its-a Critical Role, So he can whip up the perfect tease for your long awaited overhaulllllllll!!!"
Hahahah that's like roll a d20 for an Investigation (Int) check. DC20. We need the forum members with investigation proficiency to discover those clues XD
DC 20? Man, I knew I shouldn't have dumped Int :(

Rather than have you all play guessing games, why don't we instead find out what everyone is most excited about with the new sheet? For me it's not having to respond with "this will be available in the new character sheet" and "it's coming... Soon"

Oh no, poor you, getting to play with the character sheet early because you do a job that gives you access to it. My tears, they know no end for your suffering.

Just played what was hopefully my last game with the current sheet, and have to agree with the above poster. No more “What can I do as a bonus action” questions, needing to delve into racial/class traits and spells... EDIT: As a DM with 7 new players.
I hated having to keep scrolling from the top to the bottom of the sheet all the time because I couldnt remember what my initiative was and I was trying to pick which spell I was going to use. Having a higher information density to cut back on some of the scrolling is what I'm most looking forward to.
What I most look forward to about the new character sheet is my players asking me questions which they should already bloody well know the answers to and them not coming back at me with, "Yeah, but I can't find it 'cause the character sheet sucks..."

Ad-hoc items. In a campaign your character may end up with a lot of small items like keys and things and it would be great to quickly add such an item right at the character sheet. By the looks it will also be easier to customize any item and make notes, change weight, etc so you can easily choose which items may be in something like your Bag of Holding for example.
Ad-hoc feats. We can end up with a lot of circumstances the builder cannot be prepared for (usually homebrew things and custom rules). Feats have a lot of options available for them - you can make a feat that does almost anything but the benefit was lost because the builder restricted you on when you can take feats. With the revamp it won't - so, if you enounter a situation needing it you can make a feat and just add it to the character to achieve what you want. This is very powerful because while we could use items the items are more awkward to use, the feat builder is more efficient than the magic item builder. Great way to add and remove effects and bonuses that you use frequently.
Improved spell and features organisation. Self-explanitory.
More customisation right from the sheet. In the latest showing everything being clicked and shown seemed to have "customise" option. Ability scores, equipment, defenses, proficiencies, languages (OMG finally custom languages), and so on and you don't have to go back through the builder for these adjustments.
Organised "actions", "bonus actions" and "reactions". A quick-glance look at what you can do for these is incredibly helpful and makes planning your turns much easier - and therefore faster.
Lots to look forward to.

I look forward to the mods stop teasing us about it. Also a place to put my mount for my Paladin. But mainly the mods stop teasing us about it. :D
Edit: Before this gets out of hand I would like to say that this is to be taken as a light teasing joke back at the mods. I am super excited for the revamp and can’t wait to use it. I also appreciate all the mods for dealing with us impatient users. I know I’ve definitely been impatient but I’m positive the wait has been worth it.

Great question! My top gets from it will be dealing with limited use abilities easier (what exactly does that channel divinity do again?), better tool tips (for those pesky rules lawyers) and although it’s not expressly character sheet related sharing homebrew items across a campaign!
I'm excited for the better mobile view. I seem to have the worst luck in remembering which direction I should be swiping to get to the correct section of the character sheet in the fewest moves.

You already can share homebrew items across a campaign and without a subscription being required. Been that way for many months now.

I wow. I can believe that! I really can't imagine the relief this will bring to you Moderators... (0.0)
I have been told their are massive inventory management upgrades... What that is going to look like I am not sure but I am the party "pack mule"/Treasurer for my group so I am hoping it works out not really poked for details (and wont) because its hard to say anything until I know what we have to work with. It's not really something that you can explain as easily as you can show and its not supper exciting visually to show. So I am REALLY hopeful and eager to get my hands on it and see what was done. I will (as a pessimist) hold some apprehension that it might be just a basic individual management but will hold on to some hope for campaign/party management as possible improvements in the future. At the same time ANY inventory management improvements will make me happy. I generally like the layout improvement I have seen the mockups but in a way I am a little less excited with them because I kind of know what I am getting. Like knowing a birthday or Christmas present before you get it, I still want it, I just don't have the same excitement for it.
Also, I have the magic initiate feat and it doesn't list combat cantrips gained their in the combat spells. So I am hoping ether the new format or reprograming fixes this. I didn't see any point in posting about it since the revamp was on the way as it could be fixed by accident or already planned and I didn't want to bother anyone for something that might fix itself or not even be relevant.
The lack of inflection in text means that a reader of any post adds their own inflection as they "verbalize" it in their head. I write long and repetitive in an effort to be clear and avoid my intent from being skewed or inverted. I am also bad at examples. It is common for people to skim my posts pull out the idea they think I mean or want to argue against or focus on my bad example instead of the point I am actually trying to make. I apologies for the confusion my failure to be clear and concise creates.
Quick question at the mods cause it just occuredI should check this now so if needed I can quickly backup if needed. A bunch of my players have non standard items in personal possessions and other holding boxes. Will these be still available for players to see in the new sheet?

Being able to have my spells if by race or a feat actually listed with other spells in the combat section.
