theros imo will be the best 5e product released this year. its got soooo much stuff. new races. new subclasses new religion mechanics. new background/ feats in the supernatural gifts. new magic items. (flying chariots. what is essentially pandoras box. freaking god wepons) new monsters especially mythic threats (god i hope thier actually hard even for a lvl 20 party) monster varients. hydra. giants medusa krakens. a new pantheon. i don't understand how more people are not excited by all this!
Because adding multiple MtG campaign settings adds bloat to 5e but is not adding content that people have actually asked for since the beginning of this edition.

I think either Planescape or Spelljammer would be the most likely new campaign setting. It needs to be something pretty large if they're going to be putting a lot of the new UA in their. If not that, maybe it'll be something like Greyhawk. I'm not sure about the adventure, but each one seems to be centered around certain monster groups (ie dragons, giants, demons, elementals, etc), so I think that something aberration themed is a pretty good shout.
I don't have anything against Greyhawk, but the only difference between a game set in Greyhawk and a game set in the Forgotten Realms is the names of the major cities, deities, and NPCs. It's just another rather generic high fantasy setting, which means that it really doesn't offer as much incentive to buy it compared to others they could offer.

"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.
Some of the M:TG planes could actually be turned into good settings. Innistrad, (the plane that Levi mentioned), could be really fun. There's a lot of overlap with Ravenloft, so I think they would have to choose between the two to publish. Innistrad could have a Stitcher subclass for Artificer, something I would love. Then again, I am a M:TG fan, so consider this post biased.

Planescape or Volo's Guide to the Planes, Darksun or Hooked on Psionics by Xanathar, Kara-Tur Adventure Guide or Al'Qadim Adventure Guide Spelljammer or Mordikienen's Guide to the Crystal Spheres
I love it that a lot of you want Spelljammer, but that's definitely not coming anytime soon. It is probably the hardest campaign setting from any previous edition to bring to 5e. They have developed vehicle rules, yes, but they'd have to choose whether they'll use the Action Station rules or Ghosts of Saltmarsh rules. They'd also have to translate hundreds of monsters to 5e, compile the Giff and Neogi into it, explain all of the different factions, give information on the mechanics of Wildspace and the Phlogiston, explain the crystal spheres and what settings have them and which don't, possibly make more subclasses, and make more helms and have a Rock of Bral Gazetteer.
With all of the work that would have to go into this book, I don't think it's very likely to come out soon. We'd certainly see some playtest and surveys before it came out as well.
I'm running Spelljammer in 5e, but it's on pause because of the pandemic, and I know how difficult it is to run Spelljammer in 5e. You basically need every book with you, all turned to the right pages, and it is the most work I've put into any 5e game ever.

Please check out my homebrew, I would appreciate feedback:
I was also thinking about adventures. They are themed after creature types, and so far we have:
Curse of Strahd/Tomb of Annihilation - Undead
Out of the Abyss- Demons
Princes of the Apocalypse- Elementals
Storm King's Thunder- Giants
Hoard of the Dragon Queen/Rise of Tiamat- Dragons
Descent into Avernus- Devils and Demons
Dragon Heist- Humanoids?
The main creature types they haven't done yet:
Plants- probably not happening
Celestials- Maybe if an evil campaign is ever made?
Aberrations- Yes. A thousand times yes.
Constructs - Modrons are a thing, but not that likely
Fey - Seems possible
Oozes - This is definitely going to happen. Full sized campaign based around a creature type with only four official creatures from the monster manual.

I think that upcoming adventures will be themed around Aberrations, Fey, or Desert creatures.
The problem with the Fey is that so far, they aren't really that villainous. Sure, there are Hags and other evil fey, but the greater part of the fey are neutral or just don't care about humans. Doing a whole campaign about them would be difficult. If the adventure book was an anthology book, then a shorter adventure about them would be much easier.

Or maybe Zendikar, but with one Mtg setting already being published this year, it doesn't seem likely.

Campaign setting in the island continent of G'eth from the Oxventurer's Guild.
"G'ethwork"
"Anyone's G'eth"
"G'ething Game"
EDIT: Or the Thedas setting so EA can have their recurring income "Games as a Service" and leave Project Morrison alone as a single-player narrative.

Don't forget Saltmarshes with it's aquatic themes. It does have a decent Aberration component.
I don't really expect it, but I would love it if they went with something in the desert and made the Genie Warlock official.

I love desert settings. Not so much the Genie Warlock, but I haven't looked at the new one which might be better.
