Ok, yeah... that's a lot less material than I thought it would be. The setting information is largely worthless to me, it's races and subclasses and any new rules theory that are worthwhile. Monster stat blocks can be interesting for Beastmaster Rangers (lol) and potentially Familiars. Don't seem to be any new spells listed either?
The only thing I see there that might even remotely be useful to me are the Supernatural Gifts. I can just buy that section if it looks useful after the book comes out.

I will look at the subclasses when I get the chance. I didn't like the races from Ravnica so I don't expect much there. Backgrounds aren't worth buying since custom backgrounds are pretty easy to make. Several of the creatures look to be premade NPC's (like bandits in the MM) or Named monsters so not all that appealing to me. Over all, not looking any better than Ravnica to me.

It kind of sucks that there's only 2 new races in this book, and I'll probably never use the Leonin in any campaign setting besides Theros, if I even ever run it. I personally think this book will be better quality than Ravnica, as it is more fit to be a D&D world, but I do agree with the people who don't want more M:tG settings.

Nope. Well, maybe the Satyres, but not really even them as Centaurs and Minotaurs are non-PC races in my world. I already have human and the others have no place in my campaign setting. In fact, I would love to remove PHB and other races as PC available options for my setting and can’t because I bought the PHB, Volo’s, and Eberron. Tieflings, Aarakocra, Aasimar, Changelings, Firebolg, Genasi, Goliaths, Kalashtar, Kenku, Shifters, Warforged, Yuan-Ti, none of them exist on my world. Dragonborn only exist in one small place on one continent. High elves and Drow only exist in a few places. I don’t need any more things I have to say “no” to.
I already have backups characters saved for the Eloquence Bard and Heroism Paladin from the UA so I can use them after they get archived. And to be honest, neither of them thrilled me much at all.

This^^^ and I already make my players turn of M:tG access on their character sheets because I don’t want Ravnica content. It would be a pain in the ass to keep telling them what is and is not available.
Yeah. (technically 4 pages, though.) I wonder what the Heroic Drive is. Probably just a way to get your character to be "mythic" in flavor?
In the bestiary, there's Typhon. I'm looking forward to that. (If you don't know greek mythology well, Typhon is a "storm" giant with monster heads that can kill gods. I don't know how close this is to the myths.)

I’m not saying it’s bad, just very setting specific.
Yeah, I know. I have GGR, and I don't recall an instance where I've used a single magic item from the setting. It's setting specific, these magic items will have god weapons specific to Theros, but I could see myself running a Theros game in the future sometime. Not likely soon, but sometime.
I guess the main reason I'm excited for it is that I've always been a fan of greek mythology.

In Greek Mythology, Typhon was a creature created by Gaea to oust the gods after they imprisoned the Titans on Tartarus. What Typhon looks like varies a lot.
Just looking at what they have shown of the table of contents, I don't think there is a whole lot in the Theros book that I would use.
She/Her Player and Dungeon Master
Have they released the table of contents yet?
Please check out my homebrew, I would appreciate feedback:
Spells, Monsters, Subclasses, Races, Arcknight Class, Occultist Class, World, Enigmatic Esoterica forms
They release a picture of a large portion of it in their latest promotional social media post.

The athlete background should be useful. The monsters, especially the fey and nymphs, will be very useful.
