Bilyur attacks with his quarterstaff, a critical hit for 9 damage. He follows up with two more punches, the first one is another critical for 8 damage, the second, a 14 to hit for 5 damage. He charges forward toward the remaining cabbages.
The party bands together to defeat the carnivorous cabbages, and although one survives Sly's spell, it quickly flees and burrows itself beneath the earth to escape. You are out of initiative so you can now gain access to the library, and gather the cabbages in peace.
Salamander had been hanging onto there with his dagger and trying to scratch at the door with extra long, dirty goblin nails when she stepped out.
"Gah!" He nearly trips. "Whaaaa- I am-" He goes for a deeper voice. "I am not." After a few seconds of grumbling, finally at the end Salamander shouts. "FINE THEN!"
Rather than help his friends, he decides on spectating. He wants to see how this plays out. He sits comfortably on the steps of the door and leans back his head to close his eyes. Once they finish, however, he sees the one trying to escape and quickly jumps and runs after the creature. Digging into the hole it just dug, he tries to coax it out with his rations. "Good cabbage. Be a good sprout,"he coos in a baby voice.
Then, if it lets him, he will cast Beast Bond on it.

[Yeah no sorry it's a Plant, they all used the Awakened Shrub stat blocks with a few changes like a burrow speed and less hit points]
Salamander tries to coax out the cabbage by digging down, but it simply hisses like a cat and burrows deeper, deep enough that you can't reasonably dig after it.
Bilyur walks the field, gathering the dead cabbage and putting them in his bag. He then begins looking for any books that are magical in nature that sly or eggo would be interested in. Investigation was 18.

Salamander goes to check out the library but also places a slug on the floor of the cottage and tells it to go find out what Lisa is doing. He picks a random book and starts flipping. "Bilyur, you found anything good?"

Bilyur gathers all the cabbages and then heads back inside. He then searches the shelves and finds the following things:
A spell scroll of entangle A spell scroll of barkskin A spell scroll of Speak with Plants A spell scroll of Plant Growth A seemingly stolen book that contains clear instructions on how to cast Evaltrini's Sealed Room. It doesn't function as a spell scroll, but allows a druid to learn the spell when they reach the capability to do so. An agate worth 1000 GP, such as one required by the awaken spell, carved into the shape of a bear and sitting on a shelf. A cloak of protection, hanging on a rack, woven out of curious hardened leaves that jingle like scale mail when you walk and smell of copper.
Bilyur's fairly confident that he's found everything magical from the room, with the rest of the bookshelves being mundane novels or Lisa's personal records, which he doesn't expect will contain much. However, Sly gives the room a more precise search and spots some interesting details amongst the records. The majority of text is in Sylvan, so she has to translate with comprehend languages, and she discovers the following:
Most of the logbooks just track the names of visitors or the occurrences of Lisa's days, which is fairly mundane. However, when Sly begins to go far back into the records, she finds an interesting piece discussing the hire of a powerful oinoloth called Bheregto spread plagues across the swamps to maintain her rule. This is from long before the Shadow Weave was created, easily four or five hundred years ago, but there seems to be no further documentation of this fiend after then.
One of the logbooks tracks the correspondence between Lisa and the Blood Archivist, similar to the records Evaltrini had in her dungeon. The relationship seems rather cordial though Lisa seemed firmly set on having a more powerful Weave around her home. What strikes Sly as interesting is that the Blood Archivist writes 'I shall have to discuss this with my associate' when discussing this topic. This means the Blood Archivist doesn't, or didn't, work alone, and that there's a second party involved in the creation of the Shadow Weave.
After your initial exploration, battle, and then searching of the library, it is now 11:30 AM. 30 minutes remain until lunch and Lisa is still in her room with that 'past business associate' she mentioned to Salamander. You assume that Bluey, Hugh, Graelor and Ivory are still in the dorms.

Salamander goes to check out the library but also places a slug on the floor of the cottage and tells it to go find out what Lisa is doing. He picks a random book and starts flipping. "Bilyur, you found anything good?"
((How many slugs left does he have lol))
[He put one on the shark and just sent one off so let's say he's got three left]
Salamander places the slug down and commands it to go out and scout, which it valiantly goes off to do. However, it soon becomes clear that by the time the slug has even left the kitchen, you'll all likely be in the next dungeon. At least it has the right attitude.
Sly follows Bilyur into the library, annoyedly depositing the cabbage on the way there.
She has a look at the spell scrolls he found. "Certainly interesting magic, but it is druidic in nature. The arcane arts have yet to find a way to reproduce it in a sufficient manner. I shan't be able to use these."
The wizard tells herself that this was to be expected, but is still disappointed.
The tiefling shares what she has learned from the mundane books with whoever asks. "It seems that Lisa has been working with the Blood Archivist willingly. At it seems the Archivist isn't working alone."
She busies herself with reading for a while. It seemed like a good way to pass the time and not get eaten by anything else the hag had in store.
You dig through the records and find written in broad handwriting on a tatty piece of paper similar to the ones the party use to communicate a statement reading 'Gruldrop Tindernix: Fire Genasi, Artificer, 18 years of age, Arrived on the Holiday of the High Moon, 1479 TE' That shows it's dated from about 32 years ago (TE meaning Tyraan Era, representing the years since the full unification of the country, with it currently being 1511 TE, and the Shadow Weave was created in 1358 TE)

[Sorry that it's all pretty much druid stuff, but yeah like you say it's to be expected. I'm kind of planning the future dungeons with a slight focus on characters and classes to give some continued flavour and inspiration, but only very, very minorly, so this one maybe does cater towards Salamander and druids in general a little more than the rest of you, sorry about that!]
[I don't think she can unless I've missed something, I think they're all Druid spells and then a few classes and subclasses we don't have like Bard, Ranger, and Archfey warlock]
[[ Looks like you're right about the scrolls and Eggo Lass. Doesn't look like there's even any rituals for a potential Book of Ancient Secrets. ]]
Eggo Lass sadly declines what Bilyur offers. However she gestures towards Salamander, "Perhaps he'd have some for them though." She takes some time to approach Xarkris. "Thanks for the help with those cabbages." She then adds telepathically, (Wouldn't do to let Ivory be alone for too long.) She starts heading towards the dorm to see what's going on and how Hugh's conditions is progressing.
Eggo Lass enters the dorm to find it fairly quiet. Bluey springs from his bed and says 'Mistress Lass, you've returned, how was it? Friend Graelor has been teaching me some skills with weaponry so I can become a better fighter and battle alongside you all!' He grins and demonstrates his improved attack strength with his Greataxe [Bluey now is a Level 3 Warrior sidekick as described in Tasha's] Graelor nods with a smile and says 'Once he got over that initial fear, he's actually quite strong! Shame Ivory couldn't teach him any spells though.' Ivory looks up at the mention of her name, as she was previously paring her nails with a dagger, and says 'Like I would waste my time trying to teach him some of my spells. Besides, I don't expect he would even manage to pick them up to begin with, let alone progress without my expert help' She grins smugly, and you notice that Hugh is absent from the room. Lisa is still also in her room, however she will emerge shortly to prepare lunch.
Sly shouts at one of the cabbages. "SHRIVEL UP AND DIE YOU OBNOXIOUS VEGETABLE!" [Wis Save 13 or it takes 1 necrotic damage]
Bilyur attacks with his quarterstaff, a critical hit for 9 damage. He follows up with two more punches, the first one is another critical for 8 damage, the second, a 14 to hit for 5 damage. He charges forward toward the remaining cabbages.
