Hi, I'm wondering how to make a resource for my subclass I'm wanting the points to grow equal to the class level. So for every level in that class, you get an extra Strain point as I'm calling them.
If this has already been asked could you please direct me as I've only seen how to make it increase dependent on stats not level
You need to add an Action to the appropriate class feature. As part of the action you need to designate the base “Level*” at which the feature is granted, as well as the desired “Reset Type” (long rest, etc.) and hit [SAVE].
Then you’ll need to Edit that new action and scroll all the way to the bottom and you’ll see a new subsection called “Limited Uses.” Expand that and click [ADD LIMITED USE DATA]. Ignore everything except the field labeled “Uses” and enter the same number* as the designated base level and [SAVE].
When the screen reloads it should be back on the Action form and in the Limited Uses section there should be an entry that reads “Base” and then the entered number.*
*Assuming it’s a 3rd level feature then all of those should say “3.”
At that point you would just need to [ADD LIMITED USE DATA] again and this time increase the number* by 1 and enter it as both the “Level” and the “Uses” and [SAVE] again.
*Assuming it’s a 3rd level feature this one should be Level “4” and “4” uses.
Now just keep doing that until you get to Level = “20” & Uses = “20.” Then [SAVE] the Action again, [SAVE CHANGES] on the class feature, then [SAVE CHANGES] again on the whole subclass.
So I thought it would be best to keep any further questions all under one post that being said.
so my class is using battle master as a template so at level 3 has skill options then at level 7 and 15 I have upgrades for some of the skills at level 15 I wanted to add the option to be able to pick any two resistances and I'm not sure how to go about this fully. I can add specific resistances but I want it to be more of a dropdown menu and you can choose is this possible.
what if i want multiple actions to share same resource? is it possible?
and what if i want the resource to be increasable or decreasable by player so not equal to level?
You would create one Action for the feature that tracks the limited uses, and the rest would all represent the actual things they could do. Just like how Superiority Dice and Maneuvers is set up.
That depends. How would the players be causing the increases or decreases?

You would have to make a Granted Feature with Options and have each Option grant a specific Resistance. I explained options in there threads:
