Fully customizable weapon stats for homebrew, like being able to change the damage dice and thrown range for homebrew weapons.
Yes, please. It’s so frustrating having to use a shotgun base to make a melee weapon with 2d8 damage.
I use create a magic longsword that has a bonus d8. But yeah, these odd work arounds are unnecessary if we could just create proper new homebrew weapons.
The problem with using a bonus is that they don’t roll when you use the app’s dice. Which brings up another thing. Can we please have a button to roll the attack and damage at once, including bonus damage?
It doesn’t roll together when rolling on the website either.
PS- This isn’t a “Modifier.” This thread is for requesting Modifiers for homebrew.
Will we ever be able to create our own nonmagical basic weapons?
On countless occasions my table and I have come up with what we think would be good stats for a type of sword or something that doesn't fit with any of the premade options.
Trying to use the create a magic item creator doesn't work because we have to pick a base weapon as a requirement which defeats the purpose, none of the base weapons' have what we need.
That is also not a “Modifier.” This thread is for requesting Modifiers specifically (and only modifiers).

Yeah. it isn't currently a modifier. But we'd like it to be one.
Currently, you have to add a modifier for additional damage. But it'd be nice to have a modifier to Set the damage dice of the base weapon to something other than default.

I'm probably laughing.
It is apparently so hard to program Aberrant Mind and Clockwork Soul spell-swapping into dndbeyond they had to remake the game without it rather than implement it.
What about minor and mjor benefits as modifiers? A lotmof artifacts have text stating that they get these and they are are mentioned in the dungeon masters guide. It would be nice if we could chose a minor or major benefit for the modifier, and then all of the choices available in the guide as the sub type.
in fact, maybe even add a sub option where you can choose you own (similair to the “choose wisdom, charisma,…etc” sub options
Not sure if it has been mentioned in the thread yet - sadly I don't have time to go through 34 pages of information at the moment.
My idea is the ability to add stat damage to weapons.
i.e. 'Shuriken of the illithid' does 1d4 thrown damage + 1 int damage. or something similar. (if this has already been implemented then if someone could point me in the direction of how to do it that would be great as I haven't found it.)
changing the base damage of a weapon, i want a longbow that does 1d10 not a +1 longbow
changing the range for a ranged weapon, such as a longbow that can shoot 300/1200 if their perception is high enough
combining the auto roll buttons, so when you roll for damage it rolls for all the damage, for example a longsword that has been enchanted to do an additional 1d8 necrotic damage, so you click roll to hit, hit, click the roll damage button and it does 1d8+3 slashing and 1d8 necrotic, or while versatile 1d10+3 slashing and still 1d8 necrotic, rolling both dice at once on the screen.
The ability to make custom weapons with its own dice rolls and die types, also add the ability to add spell slots to magic items so the characters can have more spell slots in their character sheet
How can you make a class level divide in the little snippet area. I'm having some difficulty, and need to see if {{(classlevel / 3) @rounddown}} works, or what's wrong with it.
Should work (no spaces); the key things to remember are that snippets don't like spaces, and if you're doing any kind of calculation you need brackets around the whole thing, which you already had. But yeah, that should work.

Being able to change what modifier for the damage bonus for all weapon and spell attacks can be but not as a stacking bonus. Just like Cha for Hexblade or Int for a Artificer or like how Shillelagh works but not as a spell.
Ways to edit the range of a weapon as current versions have no operable way to do so it seems? Ie changing ranged weapon range, thrown weapon range, etcetera.
A modifier that can change the amount of uses to a class's listed ability (assuming it has charges). A modifier that has individual options for picking more than one stat, it's currently a list of combinations but it doesn't contain every combination (maybe a check box for each stat instead?)
A modifier that only applied when a certain condition is met, either from a class ability (on/off), damage, target, equipping another item...
A modifier that has a similar effect to giant's belt. You know if the base stat is not higher than the base stat given by the item then character's base stat becomes the item unless the character has a higher base stat which the item is simply ignored...
A modifier/option that allows a weapon/item to be multiple types of weapons/items, rather than creating 3-4 entries of the same variation.
Multiple subset of charges... (not a modifier but would be nice to have)
A modifier that can change the amount of uses to a class's listed ability (assuming it has charges).
You can already do that without a Modifier by adjusting the limited use data for an Action.

With an item though? Doesn't seem like that's a thing with item modifiers.
No, there is no possible way for anything other than the class feature itself to adjust the number of uses a PC gets with that class feature. That would be outside of the scope of a Modifier.
Please add modifier subtypes for "Bonus" modifiers relating to thrown weapons. I'm still pretty new to this, so I'm not sure which ones to add, but currently there are none and I cannot create the Homebrew item in my campaign (grants +1 to hit on thrown weapons).
Currently, for "melee" subtypes:
Melee Attacks
Melee Reach
Melee Spell Attacks
Melee Weapon Attacks
Currently, for "ranged" subtypes:
Ranged Attacks
Ranged Spell Attacks
Ranged Weapon Attacks
Thanks!
