Hello all. Recently I have gone on a bit of a homebrewing kick for my campaign (since I am starting a second adults only game soon). I've come up with a bunch of custom homebrew archetypes that I'd like your opinions on.
Arcane Warrior - Wizard Archetype. I loved the swordmage concept, and war mage is a garbage archetype. This is what I came up with to replace it.
Ancestors Domain - Cleric Domain. Shamanism is a big thing among the dwarves of my campaign setting. This is the domain I made to represent it. This is currently being playtested by one of my players. The initial ability (totems) seems to be working well. Hasn't overbalanced anything yet. Early though, so feedback is welcome.
Knight of Sacrifice - Fighter Archetype. the willingness to suffer to deal great damage to your enemies.
Commander - Fighter Archetype. based around the warlord from 4e, and how I felt it could be utilized in 5e.
Monster Hunter - Fighter Archetype. An unfinished archetype from WotC. I finished it up and made it a proper archetype.
The Vestige Soul - Warlock Patron. Made for a character that wants to bring the concept of multiversal reincarnation to his character. Basically a pc he has been playing for years, it gets reincarnated with flashes of memory from its past lives, with a single overarching goal (to return home). With this version, the incarnation has formed an unusal bond with the vestiges of soul and power connected to it, granting it warlock abilities.
Path of the Empty Hand - Monk Archetype. Peerless warriors, focusing on the deadly (and flashy!) martial arts exclusively. Based around Wuxia films and Ranma 1/2 style martial arts. Currently being playtested at level 6 of this class. The counter ability as well as the base techniques work really well and hasn't overpowered the class.
Path of the Tempest - Barbarian Archetype. The whirling death, a barbarian that's rage lets it take even greater advantage of the two weapon fighting style.
Weaponmaster - Fighter Archetype. The brute was a unique idea from unearthed arcana that was implemented poorly. This is my take on it.
So those are the archetypes I have made. I do have one more being playtested (a beastmaster druid), but I don't have it written up here. Once I do I'll add it. Please read and review, either here or comment on the archetypes themselves. I look forward to your feedback!
I'll take a look through these later when I have the time but I can say right now just from a quick look is that the arcane warrior has a typo... its missing the level 10 feature, my guess is that the Arcane Aegis feature is supposed to be the level 10. (I'm actually working on my own variant of the arcane warrior too right now actually)
I looked at the Arcane Warrior and the Path of the Tempest. In the Arcane Warrior, aside from the aforementioned typo they both look good. 9 subclasses is a lot for one sitting.
Thanks Sposta - Yeah it is a lot, I agree. Some of them (Ancestors, way of the empty hand) have been playtested and I was including them for thoroughness.

Yeah - Arcane Aegis is a level 10 ability.
Anyone else want to chime in please?
