“Yes, but I can’t place where…”. History check to see if she can recall: 23
With Jean and Stefan at her back watching the snakes, she takes the time to look beyond the mummy to see what their options are.
After checking that out, she turns around and sees that the snakes are much more active than when she went past them. She then casts Minor Illusion and the illusion of a rat is now on the bottom half of the stairs but in the snakes peripheral vision.
(Man, I must not know as I thought I hit it out of the park with that check. What about what is beyond the mummy and about the illusion Gwen did for the snakes?)
(You did it just kind of would spoil things for later. If the group agrees to it I can give the Nat 20 check and just spoil parts of the story. Doesn’t really matter but just giving you that heads up. I know that’s kind of not how things works but sometimes you gotta try to keep certain things a mystery. And my bad, I got to that one during my very short break today!)
the snakes see the rat and all start to follow it away from the stairs.

"Looks to me like it's out the way we came in! I have an idea, but it might be a longshot." Jean pulls out his panflute and starts playing a soothing melody in the hopes of pacifying the snakes long enough for them to get past.
As jean played the snakes started to calm down and happily follow him through the chamber. One smaller snake liked the sound so much it crawled up Jeans leg and placed it self on his shoulders.
Stefan noticed there is nothing else of value in the chamber.

Jean goes stiff in apprehension as the snake makes its way up his body, and he dares not stop playing. But seeing the snake's lack of aggression, by the time he makes it to the bottom of the stairs he has calmed a bit.
He reaches up to tentatively stroke its tail as he brings the panflute down from his lips and says, "Well I don't know that it's all been made clear yet, but it seems to me that note is what we were meant to find down here. It's certainly a start. Now, I'm not familiar with these horsemen. How about you?"Jean looks to the rest of the group, especially Beck. He allso pulls out his phone to see if he has service down here.
Jean types 'gems of the horsemen' into the search bar on the internet browser he uses, planning to do a more thorough search once the group is out of this area.
Stephan flips through the pages of the Bible. After a short search begins reading. “And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine. And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth”
When Jean gets the search result the first thing that pops up is the quote Stefan read. As well as a note. “It is likely that seals were simply just a metaphor and could have been anything, but there is also no concrete evidence that any of this is real.”
Jean shows the results to the rest of the group and says, "Okay, I say we get back up to the bar for now. Starting to feel a bit cramped down here. Though at least we found a clue, and I seem to have made a new friend." He strokes the snake's tail again.

Gwen recognizes the voice, but as too who and where it cant be fully placed.

the snakes see the rat and all start to follow it away from the stairs.
(no don't spoil things! I didn't realize)
"Guys, while the snakes are distracted lets go!" And Gwen hurries up the rest of the stairs past the mummy.
"Nice work!" Jean calls out, and follows Gwendolyn.
Stefan glances nervously at the undead fellow. “I think he may still want that scrap back.” Still hurries to follow the other two.
(maybe I missed you giving it back. If so ignore that.)
“Oh sorry! You’re right, I should - Jean you memorized it, right?” And she tries to put the scrap back in the mummies hand on her way past it.
"Got it!" Jean says tapping his head.
There is no clear exit out of the room you are in.
"Looks to me like it's out the way we came in! I have an idea, but it might be a longshot." Jean pulls out his panflute and starts playing a soothing melody in the hopes of pacifying the snakes long enough for them to get past.

As they move around Stefan looks for anything else of interest in the mummies chamber.
19 strait roll for perception or a -1 of investigation. Looking for anything that catches my eye.
As jean played the snakes started to calm down and happily follow him through the chamber. One smaller snake liked the sound so much it crawled up Jeans leg and placed it self on his shoulders.
Stefan noticed there is nothing else of value in the chamber.
Gwen goes back down the steps and looks more to the walls of the room they found the Bible in.

Gwen searched but does not find anything.
