Graxx looks around him at the surrounding wolves but he is fine because he knows his warband is with him.
"NOW I CAN SWING IN ANY DIRECTION AND KILL!", screams Graxx.
Graxx will make two RECKLESS GWM attacks against the wolf at J,11.
Graxx lift's his axe high and aims to bring it down on the wolfs head!
Obsben switches gear into the offensive once more, paying a real golden price for her next spell. Three golden flashes hit the wolf she attacked most recently. A forth makes sure no WOUS leaves the battlefield unharmed. (Winter Wolf#6 takes 9 force damage; Winter Wolf#2 takes 5 force damage.)
Neya clicks her tongue in annoyance for having dropped to the ground again. Nonetheless, this is just a small delay. She pounces on the nearest WOUS and slashes it twice. Realizing the creature now only needs to be slightly pushed into the afterlife, Neya hammer-fists the top of its cranium and watches its eyes close for the last time. (Winter Wolf#8 takes 33 magical bludgeoning and slashing damage and is DEFEATED.)
Graxx is the next person to claim a life. A highly injured WOUS is no match for the leading, holy strike of his relic. The next two swings put an end on the wolf Obsben had just recently hit with three sparks. (Winter Wolf#4 takes 35 magical slashing and radiant damage and is DEFEATED; Winter Wolf#6 takes 45 magical slashing damage and is DEFEATED.)
Utar also continues to his own assault. His spiritual weapon finishes off the wolf it has been chipping off, while the flying cleric swoops once more to dink the last remaining wolf. (Winter Wolf#5 takes 13 force damage and is DEFEATED; Winter Wolf#2 takes 18 magical bludgeoning and radiant damage.)
The last remaining WOUS lowers its head before running away in defeat. It is immediately apparent that the fight is over, unless CRAP wishes to give chase to the last wolf.
Directionless, it looks like Opal is running away from the scene.

NOTES: Just as I usually depict horses as medium creatures, I am choosing the depict the wolves here as medium creatures. Note that both are technically large creatures.
(Obsben, Neya, Graxx, and Utar may all take their turns. Utar, Graxx, Obsben, and their respective mounts are the only ones currently benefiting from Crusader's Mantle.)
Obsben looked about ready to throw out a few mocking words at the fleeing wolf. But once the panic neighing of Opal finally registers, she give a soft and quick sighing before urging Basil to cut off the horse with all due haste. "Whoa, whoa, whoa now~ Easy girl, easy. It's all gonna be okay, okay. Nobody's gonna hurt you."She assured, lacing her words with a bit of magic to ease the mounts injuries and hopefully placate her enough to approach and put a hand on her to further her down... before worrying over how to bring her down without dropping the spell.

With Obsben taking the direct route, Utar curves Glühoof II's run, squeezing every scrap of speed from the horse, trying to get in front of Opal. If Obsben can't calm Opal, Utar can at least try to turn Opal back towards the group.
CRAP wastes little time on the runaway WOUS. Obsben and Basil make their way to Opal, initially calming her down by taking away her pain. (Opal recovers 7 HP.)
Then, with Utar's and Glühoof II's help, the halfling takes control of the riding horse and brings her back down to the ground, where Neya is waiting with some comforting gestures of her own. Opal is safe and in the process of calming down. A few yards away, Graxx comforts Glory as well, though the warhorse seems more used to the sight of battle.
CRAP had selected this spot for camping but the area is now doused in blood and littered with large wolf carcasses. The party has a choice to make.
"Hmm~ That's a lot of bodies. A lot of blood too." Obsben comments as she poked at a corpse with a stick in one hand and absently scratched Basil's head with the other. "Probably won't be long 'fore some carrion crawlers come scooting their way over." She then looks over to the more heavily injured of the troop and smiled apologetically. "Probably best we're not here for all that. But, if people want to stay and I guess harvest these old poochies, I won't complain. Just leave a few fangs for me."
Following that request, the lightling went about briefly studying the wolves while avoiding getting too much gore on herself where possible. All in the hopes of figuring out the mystery of what they were, and if anything was truly of worth harvesting from them after how hacked up some were by Graxx.

I would've done my best to keep them alive either way, as it would rather inconvenient otherwise."It's on that note that she discarded her stick, satisfied if not in knowing more of the beast, then at least in the others voicing an eagerness to be off. She makes a point of ending her other spell with a snap of fingers, now more leery of a mount being spooked into flying a way.
Then once more from the back of Basil, she'd try provide insights from a more intellectual point of view to whoever takes point from then on seeking a new spot for a brief rest, before truly continuing their journey.

Whether the group desires to harvest the wolves or depart, Obsben is sure to spend whatever seconds she has poking one of the dead WOUS. They are as large as dire wolves and their fur is as pale as snow, although the halfling doubts they were an entire pack of albinos. Their icy breath hints at some sort of magic, but whether they were cursed by a witch, enhanced by a wizard, herded by giants, or simply wondered into an especially wintry node of the Weave, Obsben cannot tell. What she can tell is that their meat, though not abundant, has an inherent chill to it and should keep well during long travels.
As Graxx expresses his gratitude, Utar says the group should start moving. Neya takes that as her hint to start looking for a new suitable campsite. After half an hour of wandering, CRAP has to settle for what they found as the skies are darkening swiftly. A spot where a large boulder meets the edge of a small wooded area should provide protection from at least one, if not two, side(s). Hammer, pins, tents, furs, and blankets should do the rest. It is not ideal but it is at least free of carcasses. The group is in for a cold night.

Despite the promise of a chilly and discomforting night, Obsben hardly seemed to mind or give much thought to the prospect. Rather she happily in her own lackadasical way provided what assistance she could in setting up tents and clearing away space to perhaps get a small cook fire for the evening... with a bit of [Tooltip Not Found]. Over dinner she is sure to regale the group with the rough draft of her story on the day's events, but with clear embellishments here and there to make the whole thing both more comical and even fitting for children to hear someday.
(OOC: Unfortunately, short of DM permission, no rebuffing of the Temp HP until after our next rest.)
"I think I'll call this one... Hmm... Oh, I know. I'll just ask Salty Bottom!" Without further explanation, she took off her wizardy hat, waggled her fingers over the hole, and uttered complete nonsense before pulling from within it... small, blue-furred monkey in a red and blue patterned vest, and with genuine wings of all things sprouting from his back! Salty Bottom proceeds to then climb onto her shoulder, and seem to whisper in her ears, prompting her to hold up the hat so he could dig out a little fez to don as well. "Ah-uh! Now don't you forget now."The monkey looks almost confused for a second, before nodding vigorously and turning back to the group to give them a thumbs up!
"Very good, Salty Bottom. And good call on the title too. Why if I was an publisher or an editor, I'd give Wolf Back Hills three thumbs up." She comments. And on that note, unless the group had more for the pair, Obsben would volunteer to take first watch alongside her familiar and Basil. But otherwise, she'd just be content taking any watch or adhere to the wisdom of the others. She'd also try her best to convince /whoever/ she wound up sharing a tent with to let Basil sleep stay inside as well. As Salty Bottom would be returned to his pocket dimension until the morning once her watch is over.
Watch Time: 20(20). (adv. is from monke help. But if not possible, ignore the 2nd roll.)

"Uh, Obsben. What is that?"
Pointing at the winged monkey, Utar had to admit he'd never seen anything like that before. Even after Doozey's menagerie, and the various beasties CRAP had seen, this was something altogether different. Still, the creature seemed benign, maybe even friendly. Proper introductions were required.
Aside from that, Utar was content to help pitch the group's tents, hoping they'd keep the night's chill away at least until it came time for his turn at watch...
(OOC Don't forget, there's an inspiration token going for whoever takes a watch before the end of the day. It needs spending and Utar already gets advantage from his shield so no need to burn it on his watch. Graxx and Neya are welcome to use it. Utar will volunteer for last watch.)
