I love conjuration. Not like, summoning, because that highlights how cool stuff that isn't the caster is, but pretty much everything else. Conjuring junk is cool
I guess conjuration since it has Wish. I am not particularly attached to any school though.
In terms of spell effects, my favorite spells are ones that create permanent minions, like Create Magen and Finger of Death, so I guess is transmutation and necromancy are my next favorite schools.
All the elemental control cantrips, goodberry, enlarge/reduce, heat metal, spike growth, fly, haste, slow, polymorph, awaken, telekinesis, you can even challenge conjuration with summons of your own: giant insect, animate objects, create magen. If I had to be restricted to one school, it would be this one.
I feel like "school of magic" is some kind of a code for something or is supposed to tell me something, in addition to being a way of organizing spells and perhaps other magical items and effects into categories. What information does the school of magic that a spell belongs to, impart and how do I use that information (and make it useful to me)? (Is having schools of magic just supposed to be fun?) I noticed that it is listed on spell cards, which usually don't have a lot of room on them, so I. assuming that the school that a spell belongs to might be important information.
