So to give a bit of background, I'm currently playing a Divine Soul Sorcerer as the primary healer for my party, and I play with a Linx 7 tablet. Not being able to view my health or my healing spells, or my sorcery points on the combat page is hell. Plain and simply hell. In combat it takes me seven taps and some scrolling to twin cast cure wounds, it should take me two. The content required to do that is spread across 3 different screens, the process looks like this right now.
From Starting on Combat 1. Tap navigation bubble 2. Tap Features and Traits 3. Scroll down to Metamagic 4. Tap a slot as needed 5. Tap navigation bubble 6. Tap Spells 7. Scroll down to the level you want to cast 8. Cast Spell 9. Tap navigation bubble 10. Tap Combat
10 interactions required to cast a spell with metamagic that isn't on the combat page. Simply a mind-numbing process in the middle of a high paced gaming moment.
This is exceptionally slower than the previous where all I had to do was scroll down the page a bit and sorcery points and spells were on a similar horizontal to each other. This is just for a level 5 sorcerer too, I can't imagine how difficult and slow this is going to be when I reach the higher levels and want to utilise my metamagic more often. This process can double if you want to throw out a bonus action spell too!
Not to mention that throughout this entire process, your health is obfuscated on the Abilities page, never made visible to you, so if I was healing myself I'd have to make another six taps to do so...
One thing that would definitely help now is to include healing spells in the combat page, they're inherently going to be used in combat any way, why aren't they already there? I read further up that there's going to be a new system for Qi, Sorcery and Warlock stuff so I'll hold off on that for now, but I highly suggest they're included within the combat page for tablet displays. I shouldn't have to go out of combat to engage in combat.
Basically I like the new sheet but a few improvements could be made. I would like to see the saving throw box tossed out, the way saving throws were on the old sheet was much better. I also preferred the attributes to be a vertical column like the old sheet with the saves attached, it could be just left of the skills column. I also like the perception box with the passive perception, investigate, and insight all of which can have a great add to the roleplaying experence. I mean as soon as the DM asks you to make an insight check when your talking to someone just lets the player pretty much know they being lied to. so that box can go up along where the passive perception was on the old sheet. Also move HP's and AC up there as well so they are always shown. That will give the actual combat box more room for attacks, spells, and related things. We also really need a Ritual Spells section for casters that have ritual casting ability with the actual ritual casting times like the old sheet had. I bet there are more but I cannot think of any right now, I hope this is read and thought about cause it may just get lost in this forum subject as so many folks have posted.
I like a lot of what you’ve done. Really love the retro look, makes it more friendly and familiar. A couple of things that might improve it further, though.
For some attacks, you state the damage type next to the icon, but not all. It looks like my ray of frost Cantrip deals doiley damage. Now, doileys have their places, but I’m really not sure what damage from one would look like. Would it be possible to have the name of the damage type by the icon for all attacks, at least in the expanded view? Would make it much quicker to know what I’m dealing with.
Also, who said that tapping icons and digging through menus was more intuitive than swiping left and right on a touchscreen device? Please bring back the option to swipe from one screen to another.
Just a thought regarding the character appearance on the exported pdf... Can the portrait we select for the character be the picture that goes into the character appearance when that is exported out?
That’s a strangely adversarial tone/delivery. It’s fine for you to not care if your character and campaign are visible to others but some players prefer to keep their sheets hidden from each other (and anonymous public users) which this choice makes needlessly more difficult.
Because it's a mountain out of a molehill? Also, the character sheet is hidden, even from people in the same campaign.
You’re reacting as if it’s a mountain, but it’s actually pretty casual feedback in a thread soliciting feedback. I don’t know whether feedback that isn’t even directed at you causes you great upset or whether this is just the way you are but in either case I have no interest engaging with you further about how and why you are mistaken.
EDIT: As an illustration for why it matters, however, it's my understanding from looking into this behaviour that for a short time Critical Role character sheets may have been available due to this decision, leaking character information which those players did not want public.
For now, I'm really digging the new setup, especially because it makes it easy to customize stuff.
However, I'd say as many others have, that the saves side to side with ability scores was better than how they are now. Also, maybe a guide on the snippits code would be cool for subclass management...
Also, the new thing of actions, bonus actions and reactions is RAD, very cool
Forgive me if I'm somehow missing it, but it appears that a Tabaxi's Feline Agility trait is no longer trackable? It's listed under 'Racial Traits' but appears to no longer have the button to toggle when it's been used.
I have a few issues with it but most of them stem from the fact that I've only been using the OLD system for a month or so and was just getting used to it. Something I WOULD like to see though is the Builder working on a level by level basis. As it is now my multiclass character is built to level 20 but I can't remember whether his 9th level should be X or Y class. If we could see a level by level planner that would be GREAT IMHO.
I also preferred the old Spell system but will refrain from overt complaints until I've had more time to tinker with it.

When I theorised, I just log my choices per level so later I have a list of levels and choices. Kind of like what Andrew from DawnforgedCast does.
I love that you now support the hexblades weirdness. However there is one small thing. The hexblade Improved Pact Weapon feature should turn my weapon into a +1 and it does not. It's not hard to add it, but I need to remember.

Thanks for the amazing changes.
That is currently a bug and it is known. What you can currently do is click on the weapon in your equipment and use the Customize feature to add a +1 to hit and damage.

I have a minor bit of niche feedback. For abjuration wizards, the arcane ward's HP works differently from both HP and temp HP, and must therefore be tracked separately from both. Currently there is no way to track this. I think the same is true for for many shape-changing spells and abilities, like druid wild shape and polymorph, where the new form has a separate HP pool. It would be nice to have the ability to add "auxiliary HP sources" or something like that.
At our gaming session, we had three people using 3 different brand tablets and the new character sheet looked different on each of them. I'm using a Samsung galaxy Tab s3 and I do not see my HP on the combat tab or have an option to change my HP where the other people did. I tried to use the desktop page on my tablet and it didn't change

I can't figure out how to add the +1 modifier to attack in the customize section?
Can anyone offer help?
Also is there a way to make the information you type into the snippet or description section show up on the notes portion of the combat view?

I hear you, but I myself like the new sheet but there are improvments that could be made but that is the way with everything isn't it.

Huge thread so I am sorry if this has been posted before.
Any chance that feats that provide advantage on skills such as 'Actor' could show that advantage similar to the way it's shown on saves?
