I would like to make a couple suggestions to help players track their characters better.
#1) A switch/toggle when a caster-type character has an active Concentration spell going. Maybe with a field for the name of the spell being concentrated upon.
#2) A switch/toggle for Rage, to let the player know the character is Raging.
Need a way to hide content you haven't bought, which is kind of a bonkers thing to ask for. Right now when I'm managing spells on my character sheet, there are 3 versions of every spell, and legacy and two copies of what i presume is the 2024 version.
Ability to make a full custom class on beyond vs. just sub classes.
as a DM I want to incorporate 3rd party stuff as NPCs with flavor of Prestige classes or other (the true necromancer for example).
I know most don’t like prestige but I use them for flavor not power.
For reals, Definitely need this. IT sad when 3rd party character creators are more effective on so many things, INCLUDING this.
Like even if its just in the form of a Template thing like "Martial Class, Half-Caster, or Full-Caster" Where you pick the Template, then fill out thing as you level up. With like "Arcane or Divine" for casters. OR At least let us like upload a PDF/Character sheet and let us still use DNDBeyond for Rolling or using the Map System. Even if it's using 3rd party classes.
I'm not sure if this is an option yet or if it has been discussed. I would love a feature that links the DM map and the player map together so when you move the dm map it moves the point of view on the players map.
I usually have two tabs open as the dm. One is the dm view of the map and the other is the players view. I take the player view map and set it on a TV that is laid flat on our table for everyone to see. But during game I have to take my mouse and move the player map separately from the DM map as they travel through it.
Is there a way to link these two so I can quickly drag the map direction in the DM view and the player map follow?
Let the DM define which content is available for character creation in a Campaign. The toggles there are useless - I don't care about what books the players can read, I care about how easy it is for a player to make a character that is compatible with my campaign. In the past it was a bit of a hassle because I had to "audit" player's characters to make sure they hadn't pulled stuff from unapproved sourcebooks. Now it's a confusing mess that makes DDB less helpful than useful because SO MANY players are accidentally picking the 2024 options for a 2014-based campaign. This would also greatly improve the drop-downs and searching, so there aren't multiple versions of spells listed everywhere.
Having a "disable 2024" knob would take away the pain, but honestly the real fix is to give DMs control over which sourcebooks work in any given campaign.
Make more stuff that players want = more subs = more money. The math is simple. Sort of like the folks at the top that make decisions like 'remove the ala carte purchase option. Nobody will care.'
I'd love to be able to just edit classes/subclasses or create my own. I hate the current form of Necromancer and I also want to edit in homebrew tweaks.
Build more DM tools e.g. campaign manager and digital DM screen. Better supported DMs = more DMs on platform = more campaigns = more players. All those new eyeballs represent numerous marketing opportunities to capitalize on content already on platform.

I would love a digital DM screen. I always end up with so many tabs open looking up rules in different chapters.
Sidekicks, Acquisitions Inc Franchise Roles, Piety from Tharos, Dark Gifts from Ravenloft, Epic Boons, Charms, Blessings & similar pre-buyout promises & for pre-2024 characters.

Basically all pre-buyout promises & post-Buyout content in every book INCLUDING Partnered Content, restoring purchasing freedom, & user-friendly instead of investor-friendly DRM.
And while I'm at it, renew all Partnered Content licenses that expire or have expired, bring back the Bilgewater subclasses, support of things like Wild Beyond The Witchlight's Happiness Tracker in Maps, & make all past Unearthed Arcana content not literally reflected in 2024 books as free content for full usage.

When I'm in the character sheet, if I jump between the Game Log and any other part of the sheet that opens up on the left sidebar, when I go back to the Game Log it auto-scrolls all the way to the top. It'd be nice if it always auto-scrolled to the bottom, but I think more importantly, it'd just be nice if I didn't have to scroll myself all the way to the bottom every time.
The #1 thing is the ability to disable all 2024 content in a campaign. No 2024 equipment. No 2024 classes. No anything 2024. This is a game changer for me.

We shouldn't have to beg for this. It should have been table stakes for continued use of the platform by all of us with an existing campaign in mid-swing under 2014 rules.

The new 5e24 Barbarian has that, and it even applies the bonuses too.

How about:
Change the search feature back so you can get Legacy spell results, not just 2024 versions of the spells???

Apparently if you want anything in this gigantic message thread to ever get done you need to explain how it will make money.
