It'd be really helpful if players in the same campaign WEREN'T blocked from seeing the 'Description' tab of a character sheet. As a DM, I can see everything but only recently found out that all my players are unable to go reference each other's appearance/etc info from time to time. Can't imaging why that would be blocked.
The description tab contains personality traits and other stuff a player might want to keep hidden from the other players. I do believe there is a plan to elaborate on what is hidden and what is public in the character sheet.

I guess to each their own. Personality traits (ideals, etc) really just help players mesh, unless you're trying to keep everything a secret from each other. Or you don't trust each other lol because right now it's "You can see literally everything I'm wearing, what my selected features and class abilities are, what my bonuses and actions are, what spells I can cast, etc.... but sorry, you can't see my height, weight, hair color, skin color, any Description I've entered, or anything clear to your eyes, just because I might not want you to know my Personality traits." But if it's something they can roll into options, that'd be helpful.
I really wish there were options under the “Advanced Filters” to search for spells by Range and AoE. When searching for Touch spells or Cone AoEs it is currently less than convenient. Any way to help with that?
When crafting custom subclasses, I wish there was a way to enter a class feature that toggled on/off some abilities/attacks/immunities/resistances without them being either always on, or just a text description. Is there any way to implement that design feature?
I really enjoy checking out the customisation of the DnD Beyond Character sheet. One thing I did was to create a Red Mage using the bard class but changing his casting stat from Charisma to Intelligence. I was able to easily swap around his saving throws, one feature I would like to see is the ability to override the base class casting stat. You can do it by customising each spell but it would be nice if there was an easy way to customise the base spellcasting attack and DC so that you could apply it to all of the spells in one go.
I don't know if something like this has been posted yet or not, and I apologize if it has, but is it possible and realistic to have an area for gems with gold value in the equipment section or area that would interface with total gold/treasure worth?
Or, if that is not possible, a subsection under equipment for certain treasures that a PC may want to keep separate, like say a 300gp diamond that may be needed in a hurry for one reason or another...
There is a question I wanted to ask for some time now: is it possible to add an option for Private Messages to bring you to the last unread message? Or make the conversation to show newest messages first?
As of now, when you got notified about new PM, you have to click on the whole conversation, click on the last page of the conversation, then scroll all the way down to the new message.
First let me say that there is no shortage of content here. But I already own the physical books. I go to digital products like Beyond for quick data retrieval. Well, that’s not happening here. Beyond needs to deliver an MUCH more efficient search with MUCH better filtering.
My main request: The ability to filter out content I DON’T own
Beyond needs to be able to filter out search content the user doesn’t own. The filter could be “Only show data from my purchased sources”. Seems to me this filter does NOT exist so that users can be forced to view the “buy this to see this” page that pops.
Honestly, I think I’m done with Beyond. As it is anyway. What a waste. In my experience and opinion the search engine is still awful.
I was wondering is there any way guys can start making tutorial videos for homebrewing things like items, races, classes, subclass, and ect; I have seen some folks out there making them youtube. however, I loved to see walkthrough putout by you guys since there are things out there that us noninsider may not know about that we can best results from our homebrewing its just a thought.
p.s keep up the good work love you guys yall are live savers

They’ve said the past that they are waiting to do more in the way of homebrew tutorials until they revamp the homebrew system.

You can select which “sources” you search under the “Advanced Filters” so you can tell it to only give you results from books that you have purchased on DDB.
Those more powerful potions are less frequently purchased and more often earned through RP. DM’s are encouraged to use the book prices for the basics, but then set their own prices for higher level stuff to suit their own campaigns. The cost for a Greater Healing Potion could be anywhere from 50gp-100gp depending on the DM, the world, the vendor, the season, regional accessibility, etc. Superior Healing Potions could sell for anywhere from 101gp-500gp (all of these price ranges are on page 135 of the DMG. You can find more information on pages 126 and 130 of Xanathar’s.)
This isn’t a video game where prices are fixed. In my area I can go to 3 different supermarkets and pay three different prices for identical jars of peanut butter. If I take a 30 minute drive across state lines I can buy a bottle of wine for half the cost I would pay in my home town. Why should Healing Potions be any different?!?
I am a DM who likes to create lots of custom items for my characters, including weaponry. It makes it very difficult to create weapons that do the number and type of damage die I want for that weapon when there is no functional option to change that. I have heard this sentiment echoed for a few years now on the forums but there has been no update as of yet. What is the timeline for fixing that, or has the process yet begun?

That, and the stat used. I have been going nuts trying to make a “Mighty Longbow” that uses STR instead of DEX for a while now.

That already kind of exists in Waterdeep: Dragon Heist.

For the love of god, just put the value of any item in the freakin description.
Why should it be so hard to discover that the value of a healing potion is 50gp?
I literally laughed out loud at this.

I'm actually kinda confused? Where are you expecting to see the cost of equipment, but not finding it?
It's available on the equipment list:
It's available on the "Manage/Add Equipment" section of the character sheet:
It's available directly on the character sheet for all equipment in the character's inventory:
I'm actually struggling to find anywhere that I can look up equipment, that doesn't have the price listed!

I gave a bad example. Potion of healing shows the cost, Potion of greater healing doesn't show the cost. Why not show the cost/value of a magic item?
