As an action, you can give yourself a number of temporary hit points equal to 1d8 + your Wisdom modifier (minimum of 1 temporary hit point). You can use this action a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
In addition, whenever you finish a short rest, your exhaustion level, if any, is decreased by 1."
After all the wailing and gnashing of teeth about Berserker Barbs Rangers can just lose a level of Fatigue on a Short Rest at level 10?
If you played the UA, you could get this as a level 1 dip. Pretty sure Berserkers are 80% of the reason they locked it to level 10.
I agree. This feature was definitely open to exploitation by multi-classers. The same goes for Favored Foe, which is less powerful now than in UA. Canny (the other L1 feature) has also been weakened slightly.

From the Ranger section in Tasha's:

That certainly is an option now, yes.

My homebrew subclasses (full list here)
(Artificer) Swordmage | Glasswright | (Barbarian) Path of the Savage Embrace
(Bard) College of Dance | (Fighter) Warlord | Cannoneer
(Monk) Way of the Elements | (Ranger) Blade Dancer
(Rogue) DaggerMaster | Inquisitor | (Sorcerer) Riftwalker | Spellfist
(Warlock) The Swarm
Sounds like it'd be more reasonable to take a berserker dip and then keep going as a str ranger ^^
