That section you quoted doesn’t work, no. But if you keep reading down it reads as follows with the relevant section now in larger font and bright red text:

Yeah I was speaking to the links below this (it's in the same spoiler block is what I meant by section). It no longer works to show a tooltip for homebrew spells etc. Which it did before - I even had a script setup to have it work in the encounter builder/combat tracker and in AboveVTT. All it does it grab the CSS classes for the text formating - which isn't anywhere near as useful. Essentially all the info about data-tooltip-href etc is not applicable to homebrew at the moment (maybe it's a bug, maybe not).
I think that might be a you thing, because they all work for me, I just checked.
They do not (they used to, even tried to make sure it wasn't a my collection thing) - could be a me thing or related to my account somehow since it's the server not sending the info back. Incognito window, no extensions all the usual troubleshooting steps.
Someone had mentioned to me tooltips not working and when I went to check I am getting this.
Edit: checked another browser and account and still not working *shrug* - maybe it'll start working again later

Windows 11, chrome/firefox.
This looks like you are misunderstanding what they used to show - this video is showing you just opening the links in another tab. They would show actual hover tooltips before not just act as links (this is what the data-tooltip-href attr was for it's pointless to have currently). Now when hovering them they do not show a tooltip you have to open them as links.
Here is an example of a homebrew ability tooltip using those links from hovering over them (screenshotted from an old video). Just like official spells - now these return a server error from DDBs servers. Not that the link doesn't exist just an internal error.
This link loads with the correct tooltip data for Aid.
Oh, ahh…. I see. I’m always on mobile and those hover over features never work right for me most of the time anyway, even on the official stuff, so I hadn’t noticed. I’ll check on another device when I get a chance and get back to you.
sorry yeah that's not setup for hovering - just the direct link to the data it uses to create this -> Aid should have the hover effect. The ones you have in your guide would duplicate this function for homebrew as well which was super useful imo.
What sort of 3rd level feature does one need to add to Druid to make it able to be shared? There’s not really much information concerning that from what I can see.

Doesn’t matter, anything really. It’s because of the Circle of the Land druid, and all it has for a 3rd level feature is a handfu of Options that each grants a list of spells. But you could honestly just create anything you want. Theoretically you should be able to create a feature identical to the 2nd level feature your subclass grants in all ways, especially the name. That would technically fulfill the brief, and that identical 3rd level feature would just overwrite the 2nd level feature on the sheet and it would appear as if absolutely nothing had changed whatsoever.

Thank you!
I’m also experiencing some weirdness with my Druid Circle Spells list. It seems to be trying to make you take one of either spell from the list at levels 3, 5, 7 and 9. Did I screw something up when adding my spells into the additional spells list under the basic info box, or am I just putting them in the wrong spot? I’m still getting the hang of making a subclass, so maybe I’ve just messed something up in the Circle Spells list.
Another question: I have a special effect as part of my Druid’s wild shape effect that allows you to do bonus action damage equal to your PB, but I’m not sure the levelling thing is working properly. Is there a way to do that, or should it just be a called out thing?
Since there’s nothing to actually roll for that damage, you don’t need to program that in as part of the Action or anything, just use a snippet to list the correct damage in the description on the character sheet. {{proficiency}}

Aha, I see. Well, thank you again! I’m still learning snippets, so hopefully I’ll get better at learning what kinds of things you can do with them.

Just spits out an internal server error 500
So the following false tooltips don’t work for you?

The amount of "unfortunately you cannot" in this list is ridiculous.
Strange, it works for both my account, and my alt account in both mobile and desktop modes. See for yourself:

Should look like this:
This section (below) gets converted to the https://www.dndbeyond.com/spells/1990/tooltip or https://www.dndbeyond.com/spells/1990/tooltip-json link (same data slightly different format) - it fetches the data from here to create the hover tooltip.
