Hi, I have a player wanting to play ranger for an upcoming phandelver campaign I'm dming. I wanna let them do extra damage to their favored enemy like in previous editions what would be the appropriate amount for them to deal and should it be only once a turn or every attack they can deal it? I would use Wis Mod (minimum 1). The idea used to be that they understood their favorite enemy so well that they knew their weaknesses. Wis Mod would fit that, and it’s already their spellcasting ability so....

+Proficiency Bonus, once per turn is probably a good place to start.
