I'm attempting to make a version of studded leather armor that would use the con modifier instead of Dex. Could someone walk me through how to do this? I also want it to be able to scale as the modifier increases so basically I need to find a way to put the macro for the con modifier in the fixed value portion of the modifier i'm trying to add on a homebrew version of the armor, and I need a way for it to ignore the dex modifier.
You don’t need to do anything with “fixed value” at all. Besides, “fixed value” means exactly that, a value that never changes. You instead need these two Modifiers:
Modifier: Set->Subtype: AC Max Dex Armored Modifier->Fixed Value: 0
Modifier: Bonus-> Subtype: Armored* Armor Class->Ability Score: Con
(Might just be “Subtype: Armor Class” since you’re putting these on the armor itself. You’re gonna hafta check that foe yourself. 🤷♂️)
Also, this item may require Attunement for the modifiers to function properly, but might not. Again, yer gonna hafta check that.
Also, for some reason it seems no matter what I do i cannot get the armor to negate the dex bonus. However, I think it has to do with the fact that im trying to put the armor on a monk? I tried it on another character and it works fine, but for some reason when the monk character dons the armor it still adds the dex bonus.

I hope that helps.
