"More, there is here... Come, come, G'ulp... Bring the light.... More clues, we find, yes?" Sandlot said mirthfully, as he swam at least to extent of G'ulp's light until more was extended into the next room. As some less experienced with sailing on a ship, but moreso in breaking them at the behest of greater beings.... Well, he knew anything worthwhile would be in the hull for sure. Anything of large importance... but beyond that...
Well, he knew some things or two. But, would it be enough?
(@Lerus: Ignore the above roll if a history of ship destroying would suffice.)
Once G'ulp arrived with the light, anyone else that wished to search the bigger cargo could do so. Sandlot, however, would focus on trying to find either some egress leading up, or tunnel potentially leading into the innards of the coral... with Eldath's renewed guidance, of course. And if none are to be found, then, it might've been time to to address the others about moving on elsewhere, assuming none need a moment to finally rest.
@Gulp: You busy yourself with portioning the valuable salted meats you found. It takes some time, but you are able to cut 10 separate servings before your companions start insisting it is time to move on. You also find a small, carriable keg of ale that you hope can be tapped at any give time as opposed to having to find another container for it right away. Feel free to pass those extra supplies around in whichever way you see fit.
@Sandlot: Based on your experience in destroying ships, you seem to remember that merchants generally liked to carry larger amounts of the most valuable tradable goods. It seems like a fair assumption that larger crates would contain such goods, so you hope your hunch is right.
Aided by some light, the party's cleric moves into the next storage compartment and finger-taps on a few of the larger crates he sees. Now that he has advanced a little, he can see better into the third and last storage compartment located at the back portion of the caravel (the wall separating the middle and the back hull chambers is partially broken.) There are less boxes and crates in that last space, and its back wall is also busted, leading to an area Sandlot judges to be the inside of the coral mountain. Some of the coral seems to have already started growing into the third section of the hull, and it takes strange organic shapes in a few parts. He urges the group to follow him at least into the second/middle storage section.
The group advances into the second chamber, the one just below the metal grate. A few more moments are spent opening the boxes that Sandlot had tapped with his fingers, revealing some valuable items. A set of boxes contain what amounts to 200 ballista bolts. The contents of several others may be put together to deliver 1,000 yards of sailcloth. Others still guard a total of 500 feet of uncut silk rope. There is also four kegs of resin. If anyone has a mind to haul these tradables out of the wreck, they could sell them for a pretty penny. Finally, there are twenty small iron boxes sealed with wax. These would have to have their seals broken if anyone wants to open them.
@Shanty, @Barnacle, & @Undertow: Given this new information and what you had already collected and seen, the three of you convene for a moment and arrive at a plausible conclusion. This caravel served as a tender vessel, bringing supplies to repair other warships as well as food, ale, and ammunition to the warfront above the water. You fail to recognize the specific symbol stamped on the boxes, but you are fairly confident of your guess on the vessel's purpose. Bubbles stands nearby, pretending to contribute to your discussion but not actually saying anything.
Once Shanty steps into the second hull compartment, his still active Detect Magic-eyes pick up the essence of necromantic magic again. It is coming from the third section of the hull, the one Sandlot is peering into.
"That would be ten of them. Not bad, if I may say so myself." Gulp was pleased with himself but postponed ration distribution for now, others seemed to be eager to move (he was too, just not in a harry). "I'll take this too."The keg of ale was attached to backpack, making the whole construction bulky but steady.
"So, what have we here?"The crates in the other room were indeed useful but as Sandlot predicted, not in a way of cluing about Darkening. "Where to? There?" Gulp joined Sandlot in peering into the darkness of the next room, adding Driftglobe light to it.
"If the boxes are sealed with wax, likely the topsiders couldn't risk their contents becoming wet. Might be the very reason this ship was sunk. If we're to take any, best we open them out of water. The trick will be making sure they stay dry afterwards..."
Barnacle packs a few of the iron boxes into his pack. No need to taken them all and appear greedy. Once done, he comes to the precipice of the next section.

"Fine point, you make. An air chamber perhaps, we find beyond." Sandlot chimed in. "But-..."He starts, before noting Shanty swimming past and deeper into the other room, seeming very intent on something. "After that one, this one supposes." Sandlot finally adds in answer to Barnacle, before gesturing after Shanty. And until at least he and G'ulp swam in after, the cleric stayed by the entryway, alternating between peering inside curiously and loosely in the direction of the back wall busted open into the odd coral reef.

Barnacle produces a good argument for not opening the sealed metal boxes for the moment, but collects a few of them for later inspection. He hears no complaint from other party members. The group begins to move onward, leaving the piles of tradable goods behind.
Gulp catches up to the group after some meal-prepping, bringing the light of the Driftglobe along with him. Shanty studies the exact source of the necromantic essence he is feeling and points to specific lumps of coral that have invaded the last storage compartment of the caravel. He warns the group, but not before Barnacle approaches the broken wall that separates the center and last hull compartments. Just as light fully penetrates that last chamber, the mounds of coral produce humanoid limbs and begin to wake.
After a second, the locathah notice that four barnacle-encrusted undead sailors block their path. Two of them have starfish clinging to their wispy beards, wield rusted longswords, and emanate an evil rage from their bloated gray eyes. Two others are dressed in tattered robes, have fists wrapped in long ribbons of rotting cloth, and wield no visible weapon.

That "meat" was wrong - so much so, ever-hungry underwater life refused to consume it. It was dead and yet it still moved - not unheard of but certainly not a common enemy either. Gulp grimaced but moved forward to the closest dead attacker (S19) the Driftglobe went to the deck again.

Always the most eager to enter a fight, Bubbles rushes forward and squeezes through a broken section of the dividing wall {R-18}. He is so eager to get another kill that he forgets to channel his inner battle rage as Whirlpool taught him. He pays for it by completely mistiming his initial weapon thrust, poking the base of a snapped wooden pillar that once was part of one of the caravel's masts.
Bubbles redeems himself with a powerful second thrust of Last Rites. This one is more accurate, but it only succeeds at displacing some coral bits from the enemy's body (Unarmed Drowned Sailor#2 takes 8 magical piercing damage.)

Gl'Ulp drops his Driftglobe once more and follows Bubbles into close-quarter combat. The monk passes through the same gap on the dividing wall but turns to the side that the barbarian didn't take {S-20}. From there, amidst his strange sways, Gl'Ulp produces four rising kicks in half as many seconds. The one aimed at the undead creature's legs misses by a few inches. The other three, aimed at the foe's waist, chest, and head, all connect with a satisfying crack. (Unarmed Drowned Sailor#2 takes 25 magical bludgeoning damage.)
Shanty moves in the opposite direction, putting some distance between him and the undead creatures. Once he reaches Undertow, he turns and fires two blasts of eldritch force. He aims for a target other than the one his companions have already engaged with.
Because of the angle of attack, Barnacle's position, and the fact the blasts are being aimed through an only partially busted wall, the target enjoys some cover from the blasts. In fact, the first magical blast hits said wall, opening another hole in it, albeit a small one. The second blast navigates all obstacles and hits the undead creature's side, although it is only a glancing hit. (Armed Drowned Sailor#1 takes 2 force damage.)
Undertow sighs, a stream of bubbles escaping toward the surface. "Come, Riptide - more foes to deal with! What I wouldn't give for a drink right now..."He says as he and his animal companion make their way toward the nearest enemy (S-19).
