Ula will definitely ignore any pointed looks that are shot their way. They'll make another attempt to help the old man, but since they have no healing abilities of their own they will focus on finding someone else who might actually be useful. [Perception: 6 to try to find someone who can heal the old man before I get arrested].
In the midst of all the chaos, does Ula notice Douglas and Asledin rush back to the suite? [Perception: 16] If they do, they'll try to discreetly hand off the envelope to one of them but stay down here to help handle any combat that arises.
Imra approaches Gashrak and just sort of ask, "What on earth is happening? How many people are after this, and why?"
Persuasion: (14-1) =13
"Sit down!" Gashrak hisses and waits for Imra to sit "I don't know how many are after it or why. I just know that it's valuable and if we can get our hands on it, we'll be rich. Now you tell me who that woman is that you and Asledin grabbed? How do you know her?" he demands in hushed but firm tones
Under the stairs is a small table. One woman sits there with a basket on the table, baby noises emanating from it. She has several sacks with different baby supplies. She has dark, shaggy short hair and bangs. She has large sad eyes and a quiet smile. She indicates a small cot under the stairs at the lower end. The lights and shadow from the stairs conspire to hide the cot and the small table. Ula and Arden carry him to the cot, not easily done because he is fighting them (weakly) the whole way, especially Ula who had to get the old man under the shoulders while while the old man was hitting them and trying to push them away. Finally they get him onto the cot.
"I'm Ziza" the woman introduces herself. "My wife and I own this place". She looks over the old man and confirms your diagnosis of broken and cracked ribs and the fractured ankles. She reaches into a pocket hidden in her clothing and pulls out a healing potion. She gives it to the old man "on the house" and says "This should help some. He should still find a proper healer to take care of the rest"

Lilli takes up position at an empty table near the foot of the stairs.
"No point trying to take the Suite. My information says it's heavily fortified" Gashrak tells you "We'll wait for them to come out"
Imra sits down and shrugs, "I dunno... I've never seen her before.... I just heard, 'Thief!' Then when the person calling after her turned away I walked away."
He scratches the back of his neck, "Just trying to be helpful."
Imra listens to what Gashrak conveys and nods, "Understood"
(I'll say that due to the screaming old man, Ula didn't notice Asledin heading upstairs in time to pass off the letter, so they still have it.)
"Thank you, Ziza," Ula manages to grit out as they struggle to settle the man onto the cot. He seems unusually feisty for someone so injured. They probably aren't as gentle as they ought to be, and mutter a sharp, "Stay down, you're only making it worse," to the man before they fully turn their attention to the woman at the table.
As they turn, Ula pats down the front of their own vest, trying to subtly check that the letter is still in the right pocket but pass it off as just adjusting their jacket after the scuffle. [Sleight of Hand: 9]
"Sorry about the commotion. I hope I didn't, er..." Ula shoots a quick, uncomfortable glance towards the basket on the table, "wake the wee one." They gesture over their shoulder to the old man, who is hopefully laying at least somewhat still on the cot. "Where would I find a healer for him?"

The old man is still raging indignantly. After the healing potion he says he'll find a healer himself and struggles to get up and limp away.
A quick and subtle check of your vest doesn't tell you anything. It doesn't feel like the envelope is there but you're not sure.
"Her name is Trina" Ziza tells you "the magic baby, or as I like to call her 'Ms Stinkypants'. Don't worry. She's spent most life in a tavern. She's used to loud noises and commotions"
Ula will chuckle awkwardly, clearly out of their depth in any sort of conversation about children but not wanting to be rude. Their primary focus is still on the old man, as well as keeping the letter safe, but they also don't want to get on the bad side of the tavern owners. And they do genuinely appreciate this woman's help. "Well, that's good. Trina's a nice name. Lovely, er, family...and tavern."
The more the old man struggles to leave, the more suspicious Ula will be. They'll try to hold his shoulders down on the bed before he can leave, saying "Oh no, sir. I couldn't possibly let you leave on your own when it was my own clumsiness that led to you being so terribly injured. Please, wait here and I'll have one of my companions send for a healer. I may not know much about medicine, but walking on broken ankles is bound to make them worse." [Here's a plethora of checks - insight:19, perception:17, and athletics:17 to assess the old man as well as keep him on the cot]
And finally, if a quick check of her vest doesn't reveal anything then subtlety be damned. Ula will reach in to check directly. Is the envelope still there?
About that time Theran shows up, carrying a mop. A look passes between her and Ziza. Theran looks puzzled, Ziza just smiles.
"What's going on here?" Theran asks
"That one is trying to kill me!" the old man screams "and won't let me leave!"
Theran looks at you "Well?"

You see four orcs Orcs approach Lilli, who is still seated near the bottom of the stairs. They seem polite at first, then more forceful. The smaller of the three leans in close to Lilli, obviously trying to intimidate her. Gashrak leans forward, muscles flexing like he's just about to stand up as the larger of the four Orcs puts a hand on the smaller ones shoulder. He leans in to whisper something to him and the four of them withdraw, taking a table not as close to the bottom of the stairs but not too much further away.
"Like I said" Gashrak mutters "I don't know how many are after it. Appears it's a lot. Go over and sit with Lilli. Buy her a drink. Make it look like you're old friends.
One of the employees, a Dwarven woman, walks up the stairs and knocks on the door.
Asledin, having ducked alongside Douglas, glances at the door when the knock is heard. Asledin will whisper to Douglas, "I don't think the crew down there would bother to knock.", and then wait for an answer from the door knocker.
Imra looks at Lili and then walks up to her, a giant smile on his face, "Lil'Bit! It's so good to see you!" he cries out, clasping her hand in his, "It's been ages since we've talked! Let me buy you a drink!" And he waves at the barkeep to bring over a drink.

Ula is able to hold him down but he's a lot stronger than he looks. Ula reach into their vest pocket and it's empty.
"Hello? Who is it?" Douglas calls out from behind the bed to the knock at the door.
"This is Sabine, waitstaff and guest services. Kitchen closes at midnight, about 45 minutes. Is there anything you would like before then, or if else you need?" she says

Ula doesn't have much hope of persuading Theran that this is a totally innocent situation, but will still put on their most winning smile and concerned expression to give it a valiant attempt. [Persuasion: 19] They will also look around as much of the room as they can from their position behind the stairs, trying to catch the attention of any of their companions. [Perception: 20]
